If Soleil had heard Mpeko, she opted to ignore her half-sister... Cousin... Okay, it was a weird family relationship. She opted, instead, to step over Hinata and start eastward. "If you're all coming, you better catch up!" Head held high, she trotted, not at all seeming to mind she was the smallest one there, the only true cub in the lot of them. She also seemed the most determined to undermine adult authority that wasn't either her parents, or the Regents.
Hinata rolled her eyes, figuring that Tarsa was lying. Or guessing, anyway. She didn't need to see too great to see the look in Hraga's eyes at Tarsa's words. Then the snake realized her little lion charge and friend was walking off with out her, and with slithering after. "I may as well come with you, then, you stubborn little bag of bones!" Truly, Soleil was a Firekin to the core. Fiery-tempered, bull-headed, and stuck-up. And Hinata adored it.

Mpeko blinked. She always hated being snipped at, but then, the female was rather thin-0skinned as it was. Moreso lately.
"I'm not a Nanny. I'm a tracker, first. Secondly, does that mean if I ask they'll support your story?" She did look worried though. Did she do something wrong?

Celosia had always been told to respect those older than her, at least to their face, so the boys openly disrespecting Mpeko made her little jaw almost drop, and she sunk in to the sand, belly almost touching.
"Umm, well, actually we were gonna go see if we could find the water. See, it is playing hide and seek, and it has gotten scared since nobody can find it. I thought it might be less scared if we were to find it. Adults can be scary some times - no offense!"
The little one finally came clean. She wasn't good at keeping secrets, or lieing.
((OOC: Seeing as there have been no replies for some time, I shall bring this to a close)
In the end, any illusions the young one might have had about the water simply playing games was dissolved, and her little heart sagged. Reality was cruel, and she didn't really understand...
In the end, she'd return home after a sad farewell with the others. Did daddy know that the water wasn't playing hide-and-seek, then?
