General Appearance: Where once there was cream, white dusts the body, face, and limbs of this old lioness. Nahmba has always been small, and the age has certainly not helped.
She walks with a slight limp in her hind limb, product of a sprain from being tackled by a male in her age. Her eyesight is beginning to go, and she will have trouble making out objects that aren't set in front of her. Fortunately, she has lived long enough to know how most animals move and this isn't an issue for determining most pride-members from another. Those that look similar, however, may give her a bit of a start.
Nahmba possesses a thinning, fluffy hair tuft that always seems to be moving in different ways. Her age means that the majority of her teeth are missing and she typically resorts to gumming her food. Needless to say, she no longer hunts, but she is perfectly content with watching over cubs and telling stories.
Personality: A sweet, pleasant lioness, Nahmba has been a little off since she was a cub. Born in a traditionalist pride, she's growing up knowing she should follow rules, but usually adhering to standards that are exactly the opposite. For example, she is well known for spoiling male cubs and revering them as equals. Those who are old enough will remember her begging the late Umholi Matifu to let her keep her only son alive.
It's a lesson that should be adhered by any future Umholi and Nahmba will remind them of such. Gakere was allowed to live, stay, and leave. When he returned, he felled his father and took his place at the head of the pride.
Naturally, Nahmba is exceedingly proud of all her sons and wants nothing more for them to find a place for themselves in the world. Achieving great things like Gakere has would, of course, make her happiest, but even finding their purpose in life will make Nahmba a bragging grandmother.
Unfortunately, Nahmba can no longer have cubs of her own due to old age. This reflects itself in how she spoils everyone else's children in the pride. She will dote on new cubs, bring them gifts, tell them stories, and is well-known to loiter around pregnant females in hopes that she'll get invited to join them when they leave to have their children elsewhere.
Age or no, Nahmba's mind remains sharp. Her memory may have started to fade some, but she knows almost everyone in the pride by name, and can recollect the name and appearance of all her children with explicit detail.
In the pride itself, lions might know her as being a strange sort of wise. Nahmba is known for listening to rogues and has had flings with many rogue males in her past (another of her painfully bad habits; they were handsome!). As a result, if it's something obscure, like rituals, Nahmba no doubt has an opinion on it, has seen something done, or has an obscure idea. In fact, Nahmba has a lot of obscure ideas and interpretations. She's clearly seen a lot in her age, but it has been muddled and skewed with time.

General Appearance: Yaariq is much taller than average on account of having a god for a father. Her coat is very short, she rarely sheds, and she takes great pride in grooming and looking her best. Yaariq tends to eat slowly in small pieces, and she maintains a very refined figure even when in a pridal setting with large resources of food. She has a soft, rounded face with soft eyes. However, she tends to furrow these appreciably when she's thinking.
Personality: Born in the Tuait'Tekem, Yaariq is a devout follower of gods. Whether life is going well or poorly, she will pay homage. This is extremely important for her mental balance and stability, and so Yaariq always takes a moment from her day for prayer and respect. The very rare times she has been unable to, this lioness has been wracked with guilt.
Naturally ill at ease, Yaariq follows those who show confidence and strength of character. While she is capable of doing menial tasks alone, she feels much more comfortable being with someone at all times. In the past, Ahlsen was her emotional rock, and it was his confidence and need for adventure that drew her young self from her pride under the assumption of love. Now, she clings desperately to Lakisa and Asban.
In general, children seem to boost Yaariq's confidence. For Ahlsen Jr., for example, Yaariq feels the need to be brave and more independent so that her son may grow up strong. She is overly aware that children follow after their parents' examples, and she believes she and Ahlsen did something wrong when their young daughter left them, later to die.
Because of these bad past experiences, Yaariq is overprotective of her own children and of others' children. When they are young, she will hardly let cubs out of her sight, and as they get older they'll be expected to tell her where they are going before she'll allow them to leave. Any desire to fight or otherwise engage in dangerous activity will be met with sever disappointment from Yaariq, and she makes it very clear that these are no places for any lion, let alone her children.
In the long run, however, Yaariq is a pushover for those people she loves. If her children, mate, or friends truly want something, Yaariq will concede and be quietly supportive.
Towards other lions, Yaariq tends to be friendly and submissive. It is rare that she directly contradicts someone else, though she may make a friendly suggestion. In general, Yaariq is open-minded about other species and races. Concepts such as slavery confuse her and leave her uncomfortable, but this discomfort is limited to her body language--Yaariq would never speak out against pridal customs.

General Appearance: Unlike her name, Mkimbiaji was never actually the runner her mother and father named her to be. Though she's not large for a Defensive player, her boldness meant she was willing to tackle any lion at any time, regardless of any injury to herself.
The coach has come back with a hooked, bumpy nose from a bad break that occurred during her teenage years and miraculously did not end in permanent mental damage.
Personality: You go team! Quite literally. Mkimbiaji is a no-animal left behind kind of lioness and she expects the same of her team. Everyone practices together, and everyone practices with one another. Even the "worst" players get a few minutes in the game every game. You can only get better through trying, and Mkimbiaji wants her team to try the hardest.
This lioness takes her coaching very seriously. Not only is she a team-leader, she's there for the emotional support as well. If someone looks down, she'll personally pull them aside to find out what might be wrong in their life. After all, the emotional health of a team member is just as important as their physical health.
And speaking of physical health: If you're injured, then you'd better stay out of the field. Mkimbiaji won't believe her teammates when that 'sprain' magically heals overnight. All players will be expected to be present at matches to support the team, but those injured will only get to do that. Once they've made a full recovery, they will of course, be allowed to join in again.

General Appearance: While on the smaller side of many females in the roguelands, Nyumbani makes up for it in muscle. She has a large, strong jaw and a robust body. Middle-aged by lion standards, Nyumbani has started to show wrinkles around her muzzle, by her legs, and some extra skin that hangs at her stomach. She does well, as far as rogues go, and is a skilled and exceptionally patient hunter.
A few scars mark her body; some from encounters with herdbeasts and others from rogue encounters. Her hair tuft is often frayed and knotted, and Nyumbani cares little about keeping up appearances.
Personality: A recluse down to her core, Nyumbani is typically distrusting and antisocial. She prefers to rely only on herself, and therefore only has herself to blame when things go wrong. The lioness outright refuses to fall into the same trap as her sister, and therefore has a personal belief in not holding grudges. This does not mean, however, she's inclined to give a lion the chance in the first place.
Despite this, Nyumbani is and always will be, a social lioness. She needs the company of other lions to feel safe, at home, and happy. In her youth, she had a few temporary lovers and raised three boys of which she is utmostly proud. In her heart, she knows she'll see them again one day and hangs on to life by merely hope alone.
This is not the lioness you want to spread your whole life sorrow to. While she may find herself drawn to others who have dealt with a similar plight, the woes of random rogues will be dealt with using a scowl and a quick dismissal. Nyumbani doesn't care about your problems, and she won't help you unless there's something in it for her.
That does not mean she's a selfish lioness. She's an exceptionally hard worker, and she pulls her own weight. However, she will not function in anything less than an equal parternship. Anyone who thinks they can live off her good-graces has another thing coming, and Nyumbani will tell them outright. She works best with lions and lionesses that know how to keep their mouth shut, get the job done, and respect one another. If you stay out of her business, she'll stay out of yours.

General Appearance: Many would find Oxotl unattractive by conventional standards. Her eyes are noteably close together, her mane-tuft is a bit on the thin side, and her coat is coarse and oily. She has a noticeably crooked set of teeth.
All that said, she has an excessively white smile. Her teeth are her tools and claws her instruments, and she keeps them in good condition. It doesn't matter where it happens--but Oxotl must scratch her nails down a post every day. Of her small personal belongings is a stringy root prevalent in Nergui lands that she chews to maintain a strong jaw and clean canines.
Oxotl is of average size and less average muscular build. If you were to pick her out in a crowd, well, you wouldn't. She simply blends in.
Personality: Oxotl was born surrounded by dark-minded family. As such, she grew to know two lessons: Outsmart those around you before they outsmart you and take only what you need by force. Unfortunately, Oxotl had never been the wittiest in her family. As such, she took the things she needed by force and left the rest alone.
As she grew older, she learned a third lesson: You can live on almost nothing. Oxotl would much rather keep her head down, follow an order, and pretend she believes everything her leaders say with utmost certainty. Opinion? Why would she have one of those? She seems to follow the Nergui fundamentals that men rule and is content to let out her only wish for power on the Nergui slaves. She has no qualms against bloodshed against any animal if it is required. All slave species will get equal treatment: That is to say, she has no additional prejudice against hyenas, hybrids, etc. that would cause her to treat them worse. All is fair in war and the prisoners therein. And for Nergui, every day is a piece of a larger war.
But it would take a fool to think that any lion could lack opinions, and Oxotl does have her own. Most of these regard the personalities and actions of those around her. She makes guesses, predictions in her mind, and then carefully adjusts her physical location to minimize and maximize the punishments and benefits that might befall her. She doesn't side--whoever has the highest rank gets to boss her around. As a result, she's managed to stay out of trouble and be underneath the radar. This is exactly where she likes it; she is a follower, not a leader.

General Appearance: Fefe is of average height, but is broad with more body than leg. Her wide face and heavy, pronounced jaw exemplify everything one would want in a hunter. She can sprint short distances rapidly, and her skull is practically designed for clamping down on prey. No one will be surprised that she's one of the prideland's best hunters.
Personality: Fefe joined the Pridelands with a chosen seer, who led the nomadic group to the new King. The war against the hyenas has left a distinct distaste for the breed in her mouth, and she would rather chase them off of Pridelands territory than ask questions about why they are there.
In general, Fefe often comes across as crass. This lioness would rather state things how they are then remain reserved and hurt feelings. She's been known to correct misbehaving children that aren't hers, scold parents who aren't teaching their children correctly, or simply leave when she's in company of a poor hunting companion.
That being said, Fefe is capable of exceptional patience and is very dedicated to all the pride's children. She'll let cubs tug her tailor, clamor all over her, bite her ears and squawk at her relentlessly and still find she's relaxed enough to dose off for a nap. This same patience does not extend to hunting. This if Fefe's domain, and when she hunts she wants to do so with another exceptional hunter. Fumbles and awkward learners frustrate her endlessly, and rather than hurt feelings, she either hunts alone, or she hunts with Chyou, her best friend.
The two lionesses are rarely separated after Chyou's recent litter was born and the pair raised the cubs together. Despite any rumors that might have flocked forth, Fefe and Chyou are only friends and Fefe wouldn't mind settling down with a male someday. She prefers pushovers because, despite a loud mouth and shameless attitude, Fefe doesn't get excited by verbal fights and disagreement. A good natured male who tries to please is the ideal one in her book. If he wants children, all the better, because Fefe is known for managing children whenever and wherever opportunity presents.
