Finally satisfied that she was dry enough not to catch a cold, he lifted the hare fur off of her and tossed it to the side. He'd hang in on the drying rack when he left. Lifting the two top hides, leaving one on the soft bracken, he gestured with his other paw.
" Bed into you climb. Warm should you be now for."
Once she was in, he tucked all the corners down and under her, making a nice cocoon of warmth against the chill of the outside night and the wind that had come with it.
"Always with night wind comes," he laid his large paw on her back, running soothing circles over it again, " sleep try you should. Morning come will I with food you for. Go must I now, before Luc wonders much where been I have."
He moved over to the drying rack and flipped the fur over it and brought back a large clam shell filled with clean drinkable water and set it beside the furs. " Rest, warm stay."

She tensed the moment the male took the hare fur from her, leaving her without cover. And only got worse when he tucked her in, cocooning her into the warm fur. And as he moved around the cave, on some occasions flinching when he got too close for her comfort anymore. She was wound too tightly to not flinch when he was close to her.
When he put the clear fresh water beside her bundled cocoon, Theluji stared at it. Her mouth watered for a sip of that water, the salt having dried in her mouth making thirst strong and apparent, especially with the drinkable water so close.
In the end, her thirst won. Theluji trusted him so far, she might as well trust him in this as well. After all, she desperately needed water. Theluji lapped at the water in the clam shell all the while warily watching the fluffy male, waiting for his next move. Waiting for when her trust in him would prove Shabnam's caution warnings right. Like the other male. Maybe worse.

Erlender laid one more large paw on her head, tucking her in again, " Sleep little one, return I will once Captain spoken I have."
With that he left her, warm and dry in the shelter of the cave, the wind picking up as night began to fall, making it bitterly cold out side.
