I'm sorry Mittens. :< That's the worst ever... If I were you, I would just smoke aaaaaaall the weed. All of it.

I don't do drugs mkay? I don't like them not to mention i work for public safety "Im a firefighter" Im subject to drug tests. Plus weed stays detectable in your system for 30 days. Food for thought.

I am feeling a bit better guys smile i just gget sad at nights tho.. I dont have anyone to fall asleep with over the phone anymore ; w;

I don't do drugs either. o.O I don't even take prescription pills or drink. Cannabis is more like a medicinal herb. And it doesn't stay in your system for 30 days... LOL. What even. Lrn2Cannabis. cat_xp You know, it would help you sleep too! I don't like sleeping pills because they make me feel groggy and terrible, like I've been poisoned or something. o_o

(sorta more directed at Tiniest Momo...)

If it's detectable, then either there's still trace amounts in you or there is a chemical residue/result/reaction/signature that tips off tests.

I would be surprised if that would actually be completely and utterly out of your system within a day or two given that people can have things like fire retardant in them for a quite a while despite absorbing it through the skin by just being in an air plane.

http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/health-and-human-body/human-body/chemicals-within-us/

The scary part is that these chemicals may take decades to leave the human body, and we add to them daily. Just holding a computer mouse could have you exposed to plastics, plasticizers, coatings, paints, and other chemicals you would never want in your body. No one knows what this could result in. No matter your lifestyle and no matter where you live, no place is safe from these chemicals either. Even the most remote places in the world have been touched by man-made chemicals. You might even expose yourself to banned chemicals if you were to move to Antarctica, for example.

So yeah, I'm inclined to believe that, while enough to really affect your system may no longer be present, it's likely you still have very small trace amounts in you. A tiny few particles can be enough to trigger tests but not impact your health or condition.

I don't think that's very scary, considering there are like 10 trillion bazillion particles literally flying through my body as I type this. XP I'm just saying, you can smoke cannabis and take a drug test a week later and be fine. I know from personal experience. cat_3nodding

Err, do you understand how it works? If it's detectable, it's in your system. Furthermore, you absolutely will not fail a test 20 days after smoking once... Do you understand how cannabinoids bind to your fat cells, and metabolize?

I'm not trying to be abrasive, but you shouldn't state things with authority unless you have authority on the subject.

Regardless, there's still a chance that you can spring a positive test several weeks after smoking. I don't think that lVlittens should risk his job just for some "sleep aid" when there are many alternatives that are legal.

I don't disagree, I'm just speaking in a factual capacity, because there's a lot of misinformation about cannabis out there(you know, government/corporate propaganda), and if nobody's outspoken about something, awareness never rises.

I consider it rather scary since some of these chemicals could mess with your hormones and that's a can of worms all in itself. Phthalates are one example still found in...*coughs* toys...and normal toys too. ninja

Mostly it's scary because we don't know what causes all this and this is relatively new. Even in the industrial age people weren't exposed to as many chemicals. For all we know, common issues like alzheimers could be more frequently triggered by the chemicals. At the very least, a good number are carcinogens. No one knows if there's a higher percentage chance compared to your family history for developing certain diseases because of this.

I just realized this was never really addressed by anyone here. xd

lVlittens, if I could make some suggestions, I'd say first talk to your doctor about possible medicines that are very mild and aren't elephant tranquilizers. razz There's a lot of sleep out there I'm sure, particularly when you don't look at name brands which, for some reason, always seem to be the strongest stuff around.

If you don't want to do any kinds of medicines, there is alternative medicine which could help as well. Not talking acupuncture or anything too odd. But maybe teas and things like that. Sometimes the chemicals can trigger body reactions in a ..."natural" way, at least as natural as can be to put something foreign to your body into it to alter it's normal state of being...

Anyway, outside of that, you can either talk to your doctor, a dietician specialist, or just evaluate your diet yourself. I'm not saying you should eat turkey for dinner every night, but maybe what you're eating is causing you sleep problems. Of course, if you really want to help feel tired later, don't eat too much protein starting around lunch and then by dinner have as few proteins as you can. Then you'll feel tired naturally! Just a suggestion. Other things could cause that too, like sodas and other high calorie/sugar foods, but that's kinda generally known.

When I was in high school, I suffered from insomnia due to stress. I messed around with tons of different meds, but they always left me sleepy the next morning as well. I finally got into the routine of making tea or hot chocolate before bed. As long as I would be in bed with a warm belly, I could fall asleep.
