((Renamed)) The Immortal Sin

With great effort Faye got up. Her claws dug into the truck of the tree to help give her the extra help. Wait...claws? She gasped and stumbled back a little staring at her claws. Then something pricked her lip and she felt her teeth. Fangs?!! She was a vampire?! She pulled and her hair shaking her head furiously. They turned her into a vampire! No! No! "NO!!" She cried and the tree burst into flame causing her to fall over as she stumbled toward him. Vampires could not do that.

Oburos blinked as a tree burst into flame and turned just in time to catch the girl before she hit the ground. "What the . . ." he muttered, looking from the tree to the girl. "Hey, calm down! You aren't helping yourself like this." he scolded lightly, now more curious than ever about just what he had picked up. He had no idea what kind of race the girl fit into. As far as he knew, Fae had elemental powers, but the girl burnt like a vampire in the sunlight. Had two immortals crossbred? Either way, the kid seemed scared, so he was trying not to panic her too much.

Faye gripped his arms staring at the tree in panic. What am I? She thought now scared senseless. She stared up at him pearl coloured tears rolling down her cheeks. Fear over ruled her judgement. But he hadn't killed her so that meant all this crazy stuff meant she wasn't a mortal any more. Her panicked eyes turned pleading as if asking him what she hell she was and started crying again the flames dulled a little and caught the different colours.

Oburos groaned when he saw the fear in her eyes and muttered a curse towards mortals in the fae tongue. It was bad enough that she seemed to be a fledgling, barely old enough to comprehend her powers, but to have been kept in captivity, tortured and experimented on if what he had seen at the facility was anything to go by . . . He would have to tread lightly around the girl. "It's alright. You're safe now okay? No need to worry anymore." he said, his tone of voice decidedly softer. "Do you know if your parents are alive?" he asked, deciding that if they were, he'd try to return her to them, halfling though she may be.

Faye shook her head biting her lip a little. Then she put her head in her hands and it looked like she was crying again. When she looked up at him her lips were moving to form words but no sound was coming out. Then she made a sign with her finger running along her neck then pointed to the flames but after that the translation was a bit blurred.

Oburos sighed and took the shaking of the head and the crying as a 'No, they're dead,' rather than a 'No, I don't know if they're alive.' Then she started trying to speak and he noticed she didn't seem to be able to. So she resorted to a very crude sign language that he didn't really understand. he looked over to the flames after she made the 'kill' sign it seemed and he frowned. "It's a pine tree. They benefit from fire. And the rain will make sure it doesn't spread." he said, smiling up at the sky. His rain. He then looked back at the girl. "Well, it's no use waiting around here, waiting for those barbaric mortals to find us. We need to find a better shelter. Can you walk?" he asked, figuring if he needed to, he would carry her again. And it'd be easier flying than walking . . . maybe he should just carry her anyways . . . but if she could walk she probably needed the exercise . . . who knew what those stupid mortals did to her?

Faye slowly got up. She hadn't walked in a long time but hoped her body still remembered how to do it. Holding his shoulder a little bit she gained her balance. Then she reflected on the tree and the fire. She actually meant she remembered a fire before being taken from her family. After that it was all blurry. It didn't matter now. One foot in front of the - She stumbled a little and pouted. Her hands now had grass stains on them. That was fine she probably looked worse than the grass stains on her hand.

Oburos sighed and then picked up Faye from the ground, slinging her over his shoulder again. "Alright, flying it is then." he said before lifting off the ground and flying through the trees. He made sure to stay under the canopy though, so she wouldn't burst into flames again. He was looking for anything that would make a good shelter, while at the same time he avoided whatever trees were in his way.

Faye gasped not expecting this to happen again. She liked flying. She thought it was fun so she held onto him as they flew. She had no idea what he was looking for so gave no hints about anything. His voice was comforting somehow and he smelt...what was that scent? She smelt herself, no wasn't her. So she leaned in to smell him. Nope wasn't him. Then she looked down a little. Humans. Crap they found us. Wait...they don't look human any more...where they fae? Lycan? She couldn't tell but they looked different from the humans now. Then one howled. Yup Lycan. However they ran in the opposite direction to where they were Faye was heading so she didn't try to get his attention. She did however feel an urge to howl back.

Oburos heard the howl and he turned mid air, hovering for a moment to think before he noticed the Lycan's. "Hm . . . interesting." he said before following after them, overtaking them and landing before them and bowing, holding on to Faye, making sure she didn't fall off his shoulder. "Greetings esteemed wolves. Any news to report in this war?" he asked, trying to give as much respect as his fae nature allowed so as not to cause fighting amongst allies . . . namely, them against him. Yeah, he didn't like those odds. He would allow them to speak first if they wished, but he was going to report of the facility he found. It would be good for Immortals to be warned.

Faye sighed and slumped against his shoulder in defeat. Yup clearly they guy had risk taking issues.

"We are still winning." A very large very built man grumbled in reply. "We have heard reports of humans and our kind going missing and-" There was a growl behind him and his gaze turned to the girl over Oburos shoulder. "Why do you have a Lycan female over your shoulder?" He growled his stance turned defensive ready to strike to get her back. "Did you rescue her?"

Faye lifted her head to look at the Lycan speaking. Yeah I could take him. She thought and slipped off Oburos shoulder steadying herself against him then walked right up to the Lycan chest puffed out hands on hips with a defiant look on her face. "Oh dear." Someone muttered behind the large Lycan.
"Don't give me that look girl, you smell like one of us and now you're acting like one of us you can not honestly say with that expression that-" He scented her. "What is she?" The man growled to Oburos. "Where did you find her?"

Oburos looked utterly confused as they said that he had a Lycan female on his shoulder. But before he could respond, the girl slipped off his shoulder and he blinked before pulling her back with a sigh and then he was asked what she was and where he found her and her shrugged. "I thought that a fae and a vampire got together and had a little love-child. There goes my theory though, if you thought she was one of you. I found her at a facility that's nearby, on the other side of the plain by this forest. You're heading in the right direction if you're going to look for it. "Dunno what she is then, but the Mortals had tortured and experimented on her. Who knows what they could be doing to other Immortals . . . especially if that's where the ones who've gone MIA have gone." he said, his expression darkening.

Faye blushed a tiny bit as she was pulled back toward him. The pack had all growled. "Those mortals did this to her?" The large man all but roared. "They will pay for this! You will look after her! She will be safe with you!" Then they all shifted into werewolf form and bounded toward the facility howling for others to join them in their rescue mission. Faye tilted her head and looked at him with a 'huh?' expression.

Oburos smiled childishly. "That went well." he said before looking down at Faye, seeing her expression. "Alrighty then, time to find shelter." he said, scooping her up over his shoulder again. He . . . didn't really know any other way to carry a person.

She squirmed not liking her belly crushed like that. Her squirms turned into struggles until she was able to position herself against him and waited for him to catch on to what she was trying to do. Though from what she gathered it might have taken him a while.
