It was a near miss, with a single beat of his wings, Sheridan soared up then rolled backward out of Willow's path. As he moved, his tail lashed with a powerful strike to knock away his opponent.
Nicely done, but he would not be that easy. If there was one thing he had learned from Petro is was that his wings were an advantage, but it was not all he had. He knew now that simply trying to stay out of range didn't work.

Willow got the backlash from the tail falling to the ground and landing slightly harsh from the surprising hit with a *thud* the tiger shook her head trying to shake it off and watched as the dragon still circled, "Afraid of my claws?" She teased countering his circling with her own watching him.
Her next move had to be planned, it wasn't going to be easy to beat him if she kept up like this. Finally she crouched down her hunches wiggling as she readied herself to attempt to jump again and this time try to catch the dragon. If she could bring him down to her level maybe, this would be a more even fight.
Suddenly letting her muscles uncoil she sprang up attempting to wrap her front legs around him and catch him. If this didn't work, she'd have to attempt attacking with her fear.

"I expect the fangs are more dangerous."
She was growing more determined, he would have to be more careful from now on. If she continued to jump higher, it would become increasingly difficult to avoid her attacks from the air. Alright then, time to go on the offensive.
He removed his pin, shifting in an instant to his natural form, his long body reaching 30 feet from his nose to his tail. Turning toward Willow, the dragon dove, his jaws parting to unleash a spray of frozen plasma! (and this time it was ice).

Willow grinned when he said the expected the fangs to be more dangerous. Her tail flickered as she was about to get ready to attack him again when he hit her with an icy blast. OHHH that was cold! The tigress had tried to avoid it but no such luck. The ghoul had been hit.
However, her eyes narrowed up at the dragon. So that's how he wanted to play? She could do that..... maybe. She tried to summon up her fear and cloak herself to attack; however Willow ended up failing horribly and sighing. The tiger's eyes rolled as she started watching Sheridan closer in hopes to avoid any more ice breath. The tigress was still feeling the cold.

Sheridan had turned skyward again, unwilling to stay too close or let his guard down lest he make himself an easy target.
His eyes narrowed, watching, trying to predict what she would do next. Was she trying to use her FEAR? He couldn't afford to wait! He circled, this time moving to strike from behind, diving toward Willow talons first, jaws snapping to catch her in a bite.

Willow had be caught up in Sheridan's jaw. The tiger was struggling to get free. This wasn't going well for her at all. She was using her claws to attempt to free herself from his jaws. She managed to leave some scratch marks as she was fighting to free herself from his mouth. Her ears were back now, she was starting to feel the pain of his attacks. However, the tigress was determined not to show it.
She growled at the dragon waiting for his next move.

The dragon growled, flinching as sharp claws dug into his snout. Thick scales were less of a defense than he would have hoped and he was forced to pull back, releasing her from his jaws.
He didn't dare stay in range or in one place, rising to the air again with a beat of his wings, eyes narrowed as he circled overhead. Now was as good a time as any to try a new trick, to see if he could control it. It was time to use fire, to use it and mean it.
This time when his jaws opened, there was no ice, but rather flames that curled around his fangs. His head reared back, his tail lashed, and he unleashed his FEAR, spitting several balls of flaming plasma after Willow.

Willow had been hit by the flame rolling over to try and get anything of it out. She shook her head as she finally stood back up moving slower due to the damage she'd taken. That wasn't going to stop her though, as she flexed her claws into the floor of the area and waited for the right moment. Taking off and running as fast as she could to gain momentum before jumping at Sheridan again claws fully extended and teeth barred.

Sheridan snarled as claws and teeth raked his scales. With a growl, his wings tucked, rolling as he dove toward the ground, taloned hands reaching for the tiger, to grasp and throw her to the ground with the force of his momentum.
He would turn before he struck the ground himself, climbing skyward again least he share the impact.

Willow's fur fluffed when she realized what Sheridan was doing, dive bombing her to the ground. Luckily he let go in time she could twist in midair and land on her feet, her muscles easily taking the brute of the intended damage. "Hey, lesson one. Cats land on their feet." She called sticking out her tongue to the brute that'd taken back into the sky.
That was okay, even if she lost she was going to leave marks on him. Her claws flexed again as she watched him closely. She was getting ready to pounce again when one her muscles seized up causing her to stumble mid attempt and limp around the arena for a bit. Her Ice blue eyes glared up towards the dragon as her tail flickered in irritation.

"Perhaps we should test that theory!"
Wings folded back, Sheridan turned toward the ground, diving toward his opponent with surprising speed and ferocity. His own talons outstretched, fangs bared.
Leading his charge was a spray of frozen plasma. If he didn't land on her, then maybe he'd freeze her in place and make her an easier target.

There was that cold blast again. Her fur fluffed as she tried to out maneuver it. That a was hard to do with the damage she'd gained through out the battle.
It was cold, she suddenly dropped to the ground so he'd have a harder time grabbing hold of her and would have to come directly to the ground before her back half froze. Ugh. Frozen tiger not good. She growled as she waited, at least only part of her was frozen. The tiger managed to roll over on her back despite the ice and held her claws out and up into the air as the dragon passed by letting them rip at his underbelly.

The strike had not gone as he had planned, but as he was learning, it rarely did. Perhaps that was the true strength of a warrior, learning to adapt, change, and redirect at a moment's notice. Think like water, less like ice, be fluid.
It was an instant reaction, the dragon seizing on the opportunity of exposed belly, despite the claws to his own. In another situation, it may not have been the smartest move, but he knew his scales were thicker than fur.
His path changed, rather than the climb skyward he may have taken, the dive became a pounce, hands slamming down to pin the tiger under his weight, talons curling to catch the soft underside in his grasp. He had her now, and he wasn't letting go, his head rearing back to unleash a blast of blazing fire on her at point blank range.

Willow couldn't do much, she'd managed to turn on her back and that was about the extent of that. He had turned into an advantage point and pinned her. She winced as his talons grabbed at her underbelly and then the fire at point blank range.
She was using her front paws to shield her face. "ENOUGH," she bellowed trying to remove his claws to curl up into a ball. Well that didn't go over well, she ached all over. Not to mention she was now pretty burnt, ugh. "Enough." She said again trying not to whimper.

Sheridan paused standing as he was for a moment (though mercifully the flame had stopped). Wait, was that a smirk? It might have been. And why shouldn't he be proud of himself and how much he had learned, of how much stronger he was now than he had been before.
Yes Sheridan, well done, you finally won a battle. Be sure not to let the fact that said battle was against a student younger than you affect that pride you feel right now. ...AT LEAST GET OFF THE GIRL BEFORE YOU CRUSH HER!
Oh right. He gave Willow an apologetic look as he stepped off her, releasing her from his grip before reclaiming his pin and returning to student form.
"That was a good fight."
