The smile confused him, making his own ears flick back as he watched her. He wondered if maybe she was laughing at him, but he couldn't detect any malice. Mentally shrugging away his confusion he turned int he direction he had indicated a moment earlier, only to pause and look back at her, one brow lifting. Now she was chuckling? Frowning he tried to read her expression but it didn't make sense to him. She had to be hurting, he hadn't exactly held back when he had hit her.. but she didn't seem at all affected, aside from that slight unsteadiness in her step.
He listened to her silently, remaining in place as she set off towards the pride, a brand new member of the firekin, leaving behind the large male and his confusion. Wont go so easy on me? His frown deepened a moment before he shook his head, trying to dislodge the sound of her voice from his mind. Eventually, once she was nearly out of sight, swallowed by the vast red desert, he gave a slight shrug of one shoulder and set off after her, not following, but heading back to the pride he now called home. And which apparently now also belonged to the unusual red-coated female.
