Q. Is there any place in the guild I should go first?

A. Read all the stickies (particularly this guide) then go to the QnA subforum to ask questions they didn't answer.

Q. Are there any activity requirements to stay a member of this guild?

A. Not really though we do occasionally go through and remove people who have never posted. If you get removed for inactivity you can always re-join.

A. Yes, you can advertise artistic and other services in the OOC subforum.

Q. My post count and donation on the members page are both zero but I've donated to the guild and posted in forums before.

A. The post counter only counts posts to this guild and if you donate by sending a trade to the mule (which is what you should do), it won't show up in the guild stats.

Q. I was searching my name on the members list and it says I'm a non-member but I joined and was accepted.

A. That's a glitch. If you can post, you are a member!

Q. What are stickies?

A. Stickies (and Announcements) are threads that stay at the top of the page as a way to give them greater importance - like this thread.

Q. I messed up on/am abandoning my thread, can someone please delete it?

A. Change the thread title to "Please Delete" and a Crew member will delete it when we notice or just PM one of us a link to the thread you want deleted.

Q. Where can I get help learning to RP?

A. That's what this guild is all about! Swing by the QnA Subforum to ask questions or take a look at the SDRP Academy for workshops and classes.

Q. Do I have to PM someone before I start an RP in the main forum?

A. No, anyone can start an RP in the main forum. Please start the RP's title with "RP[New]" so we know it's a new RP.

Q. Does this guild allow fan RP's - those based on TV Shows, Movies, Novels etc?

A. Yes, you may create fan RPs. Just make sure it's set up nicely, like you should be trying to set up any RP!

Q. What point of view and tense should I write in?

A. Most RPs want you to write in third person, past tense: he did this, she did that, they went there.

Q. Are we allowed to bump our RPs?

A. Yes, you may bump your RP. A good rule of thumb is either once a day or once for every time your thread falls off the front page. We understand that occasional bumping lets potential players know that you are still available and interested in starting the RP/recruiting but bumping more than that looks desperate and impatient.

Q. Am I allowed to post a link to one of my RPs outside the guild?

A. Yes, you may advertise any RP or RP related things in the OOC subforum. Though if advertising in our guild we like for you to advertise our guild in return by putting one of our banners in your sig, guild, or RP.
