Clyde Thomas
"Come on, Cly, just go in already!" Three teenagers were edging on their friend, eager to see his reaction. Clyde smiled, waving a finger, "Ten bucks first. You bet me ten bucks that I wouldn't go in...but I want that up front." His friends looked at him, mouths agape, "Dude, you gotta come out first to get the money!" Clyde shook his head, "What if I find someplace to get something to eat? I'm gonna need money to buy food." He chuckled and turned towards the forest. Just for an hour...
Clyde gripped a branch as he climbed over a fallen tree. Glancing from left to right, he smiled. "It's nice here," he noted, "I could get used to this." Suddenly, a breeze picked up. But the breeze didn't feel normal, especially in the middle of this tightly-packed forest. Then, just as quickly as it started, it stopped. Clyde froze. Something wasn't right...

A L V D A N ___ II
Trees, nothing but trees. It seemed impossible, but for Alvdan nature was becoming tiresome. He had traveled for what? A month? A year? An eternity? In all honesty he could not say. Time seemed to melt away beneath the greenery here and his own internal clock was in serious need of tuning. The young man, dressed in his regal attire, worn and dirty, but still magnificent in its own feeble way, stumbled upon another root and cursed the heavens for its placement. “How unkind,” he mumbled, straightening himself and resuming his walk with what dignity he could. “Surely,” he said, stopping in the middle of the wood, “surely there must be an end to this place.” The wind ruffled Alvdan’s hair in a chilling way, the way that makes you suddenly aware that you are not alone. Dragging his sword from its scabbard, the once-prince cast his crimson gaze around the area of his musing. His feet shuffled in the dirt, turning him around as he looked for the source of his unsettlement. Voices! Close and soft or very far away, but Alvdan had heard them and he twirled around in a hasty circle before being tripped on the end of his long, red cloak, and falling into some strange woman who had somehow been hid behind another tree. The sword remained in his hand and poor Alvdan found his other snared in some odd and thorny bush. Despite his predicament Alvdan made no attempt to free himself as his eyes were drawn skyward. “Oh holy decency!” There was girl, floating in the air above him, and with her skirt giving Alvdan’s wide eyes a clear view of what was supposed to hide beneath them. Shutting his eyes, the poor soul ripped his hand out from the brush and gave the woman his last shred of noble courtesy. Raising himself up with his sword, Alvdan kept his eyes level with the face of another woman. She at least was earthbound, though he thought little enough of it. “Milday,” he said cautiously, hiding his maimed hand. She looked like a noble and Alvdan found his eyes drawn to her shining sword. It was magnificent, unearthly, and the prince took a step back from the woman. He did not wish for a confrontation, with anybody, and most definitely not with a woman.
edit : ><; Leaving for dinner soon. Sorry if I don't reply for awhile.
