Aw, phooey - he had failed to get a rise out of her. Dikkatsiz was almost disappointed, but he really had no time to react before she was turning the tables on him again. He dared to stick his tongue out at her and swiped at the empty air with a front paw.
"Nah, that will be easy. Ladies dig scarred males and I've got scars to spare," he said, deliberately tossing his mane in a proud and admittedly silly way. He missed getting to tease with his sister - it was probably the worst thing about not being able to fight any more, only seeing her for short periods compared to her long absences.
And he was always going to worry every time she went off into a fight without him by her side. He really didn't enjoy the thought of losing her. Especially since he wouldn't be able to avenge her like he would want to do.

Tolu stuck her tongue out in turn, and whapped harmlessly at her brother .
"Yeah, and you only have everyone to compete with there, except for those idiot kids who haven't fought anything yet." She could have made a dig about his limp, but it hardly even crossed her mind; that would just be cruel, not funny. "'Course, if you need to stand out, I could always give you a few more."

"You're missing the point," Dikkatsiz said with a smirk, sitting up as tall as he could and trying to look suave... at least until he fell over snickering. "It's not about the scars themselves, it's the stories behind them! We all get into fights but not everyone can say they charged into a three-on-one fight and took them all down himself!"
... And then promptly got chewed out by anyone within lecturing distance for deliberately walking into an ambush. But meh, details like that weren't important to the point he was making. "See what I mean now, Lulu?"

"Yeah, yeah, you and your heroics." She waved a paw dismissively, but there was grudging respect in her voice. At least, until she went back to poking fun at him. "Remind me again why we've got you teaching the fuzzy little idiots?"

Dikkatsiz chuckled lowly and crept closer to his sister until they were nose to nose. Creeping was something he could still do, even if it was a bit of a challenge. He smiles at his sister and crossed his eyes briefly before blowing out her. "Because I've already done everything stupid they could ever think of and can present them with my fine example of what not to do?"

...that was far, far too good of an opening to pass up. Instead of saying anything, Tolu simply bit her brother on the nose. Really, what else could she do when presented with such an obvious opportunity?

This was a challenge that, bum leg or not, Dikkatsiz could never turn down. Sure, he couldn't participate in real fighting any more, but a little scuffle with his sister, just for fun? He'd show her he still had it! Jerking his nose back out of her grip, he let out a playful roar and jumped at her, using his good leg to make the movement work.

...alright, she had honestly not expected that, but she probably should have. Taken by surprise, Tolu let out an 'oof' and rolled, flailing at her would-be attacker with claws safely sheathed. Bum leg or no, he was still bigger than her, and that meant heavier. A little heavier than she remembered, actually.
"Damn, brother," she said with an exaggerated wheeze, laughing, "You need to cut back a little."

Dikkatsiz's response to that comment was to catch her ear in his teeth and pull lightly - but even without claws his sisters paws held a lot of weight and power, and he could only tug at her ear for a moment before rolling off of her and laughing at the look on her face. He really had taken her by surprise, hadn't he?
"Cut back? I'll have you know that every bite of seal I've been eating has been well and thoroughly earned."

"Fine," she allowed, "If you're going earn that much seal, then you need to exercise more." Tolu stuck her tongue out at him, regarding him upside-down. Without Dikkatsiz on top of her, she was actually sort of comfortable.

"I exercise plenty," he said, laying on his own back and twitching his tail idly. "I took a walk today, didn't I?" Not that it was very long, but hey, it's the effort that counted, right? He thought so anyway.

"My weight has never been better - you're just jealous that I'm looking so well," Dikkatsiz said teasingly, rolling a bit until he was snuggled closer to his sister. "Then maybe you should sleep. I promise not to throw sand all over you while you're resting."

"The very fact that you feel the need to make such a promise worries me that you're plotting something else," she responded doubtfully, but was no less happy to get comfortable beside her bother.
Tolu would take these moments whenever she could get them, which was not often enough.

"Me, sister?" Dikkatsiz adopted an affronted expression. "Why would I, your dear, loving brother, ever plot against you in your sleep? I think the heat's finally getting to you, Lulu." He swatted idly in her general direction and snickered. Still, a nap sounded wonderful about now, especially with his sister nearby.
She was so much better company than cubs piling all around and on top of him. Ugh. Little ear-biters.
