A rather larger commotion seemed to have been caused by a few people she knew nothing about, and did not have any interest in that current moment. That commotion, however, did help her in a sense. Mizuki knew that her brother would be waiting for her, hardly he would leave the island without her. She used that knowledge to plan something to surprise him. While the Kyoshi Warriors had their attention diverted, Mizuki sneaked into their dojo. She searched for where they kept uniforms and make up, for reasons that would have been more than obvious if one was to see her. Yes, Mizuki was planning on dressing up as a Kyoshi Warrior while her brother was busy searching for her. It took her quite a few minutes though, to put on that attire as she was not used to it. So long that one of them returned and caught her red handed. Well, it was not like she was committing a crime, she was just putting on the clothes that did not belong to her for reasons that nobody other than her would consider relevant. Even so, the person who found her did not seem to be a very strict one.
"Do you need help?" she asked, startling Mizuki. "Ah!" she uttered when she noticed someone had spotted her. "D-Don't need to be scared. I'm not going to punish you or anything." she told Mizuki, who in response simply looked back at the Kyoshi Warrior. "Erm... alright... I have an explanation..." she started talking, even though the Kyoshi Warrior never asked for her reason. Mizuki explained how she was planning on surprising her brother in that attire, specially since the make up would make that a perfect disguise. Considering that the fighting style of the Kyoshi Warriors was very flexible, as if one was manipulating water through bending, she thought that she could pass as one to surprise him. Mizuki talked to the Kyoshi Warrior until the warrior was convinced to help the young waterbender.

Some minutes later, after having been taught how to fake the poses and behavior of a Kyoshi Warrior, Mizuki left the dojo and searched for her brother who would still be waiting for her. By then, she heard a male's voice screaming, calling her name. 'Sui?' she wondered as she heard his voice. That could not be anyone other than him, unless there was someone else who was incredibly thirsty and wanted water at all costs. Walking past a few inhabitants, she heard some women talk about how the cute guy who was screaming Mizu smiled at them. One of them even said that she knew his type. That comment bothered her, if the person really was her brother. She could not do anything without being certain of it, so she decided that she would question him properly once he was found. Finding him was not a hard task, when he looked so different from the inhabitants of the island. Asking some of them about a person with his description was enough for her to figure out where he went. When she spotted him, he was blocking the entrance of a building, as if he waited for something. Trying her best to disguise her voice, she spoke to him. "Were you the one causing a commotion by screaming around the island?" she asked him, wondering how he would react and if he would figure out it was her even though she tried to disguise her voice and was completely dressed up as a Kyoshi Warrior.

"Come now, Young Avatar," The sage spoke. He seemed to be the one in charge of them -- the oldest, possibly, and maybe the wisest. He beckoned for Han to follow him, up an old trail that seemed to lead to another shrine. Perhaps a shrine meant only for the Avatar himself. The young man nodded and followed him, and up the slope they went, while Hanji watched the birds sing to each other and the lizards eat the bugs. This place was unsettling, for some reason. It was reminiscent of the same feeling he had when, back some time ago, the pale spirit would stare at him from afar. It felt now, like then, that he was being watched. He could feel shivers crawling up his spine, and a cold wind spike through his back. "Wise sage," He called him, "Is it strange for someone to feel . . . ominous here?" He didn't know how to explain it, so that was a start. The old man turned to him, with a plain expression. He did not speak at first, but instead drew closer to him, and placed his two palms on each of his cheeks, then his forehead. The sage reeled back slightly, and then looked sternly. "It is strange for someone to feel an ominous presence from this place. This is one of the most spiritual zones in the world. But, considering the spirits have been at an unrest for the past however many years, spiritual may sometimes mean dangerous, and violent. It is possible that the spirituality of this place has been corrupted by a rogue spirit. We will have to commune at the shrine in order to find that out." With that, he turned back around and continued to trek uphill.

Han must've been more aware of himself than this man, or perhaps he was simply traumatized by all of the angered spirits he'd met across the years. He could not let such simple words settle him, his body still feeling that cold stab and his mind uneasy. He turned around, expecting to see the familiar face behind him. He did not, however, only a cold and melancholy breeze. When he turned around, it was because he accidentally ran into the sage. The old man stumbled, and almost fell over, but Han managed to help him back to posture before that happened. With a quiet apology, things continued on. The sage began to speak of the shrine, which he stood before. A wooden statue of Kyoshi was erected there, with an incense that seemed to never run out. The scent smelled of honey and flowers, or something like one of those. It was an enjoyable presence, though it seemed to mean nothing to his spiritual sense. The uneasiness grew the deeper into the trail they went. And here, at the very top of the trail and looming over a cliff, it was at its worst.

"What am I supposed to do here?" He asked the old man. As if to show him, the wise sage began to sit down and meditate in front of the wooden statue. Han followed and tried to do the same, but it only worsened his feelings. For a moment, he felt like he saw something. The eyes . . . the eyes of the statue, that were only of wood, seemed to glow a crimson red for just a moment, like the pale specter who would always follow him around. He stumbled back and broke his stance, which caused the sage to eye him strangely. "What's the matter?" He asked.

"I don't like the feeling of this place. It doesn't feel spiritual. It feels . . . angry." He stepped away from the statue, and a fraction of his burdens were relieved. The eyes ceased their glowing, and all felt silent for a moment longer. However, only one moment. When he looked back as he often did, to find that familiar face that terrorized him, he saw it standing right behind him. It was closer than ever, and not pointing or anything, but staring and shifting its position to assure it did not leave his sight. When he tried to look forward, it moved with his eyes. He could see nothing but the spirit. The old sage cowered in fear, and the young Avatar knelt down and closed his eyes, covered his ears, hoping it would go away. After not too long, it did in fact go away. But what was left behind was a blood red stain, covering the wooden statue's eyes down to her lower body. "That is . . ." He swallowed hard, and frowned. "What I meant. That spirit is always following me, but it's never gotten so close before. It's never done anything like that before. I--" He stopped his words, the sage coming up to him and hushing his lips.

"Do not worry about it for now. If you allow yourself to be driven to fear, then your spirit will be corrupted. Then, you may end up as one of them." He spoke no more, and asked for the Avatar to follow him back down. He complied, as he did not want to remain here any longer. They went back into the village, where he was given some money and told to have fun for a while. He had no notion of "fun", really, but he could at least get some sustenance. The Avatar followed some merry sounds and some boisterous sounds, and they led him to a group of people who seemed quite different from the ordinary. "U-uh, excuse me," He said, trying to pass a large man by to go further in. He wanted to see what he could accomplish with this money he'd been given.

On the topic of Mizu talking of commotion and asking of its source, Armand decided that a shameless self-plug would be best. Striking a pose and drawing his cutlass, plunging the point between Mizu and and Suihara, he would began to announce. "Fair lass, t'was I who caused this ruckus. I and my crew and the fair maiden who stands beside me! For where there is commotion, I, Captain Armand Smythe, also informally known as Sir Roderick Ponce von Fontlebottom the Magnificent b*****d, shall be close behind! But alas, I have wasted far too much of your valuable law-abiding time! Come dear lass, there is treasure to find! Don't drain all the rum while I am gone, men!" He called out, resulting in a large "Aye, aye!" from the establishment. Turning now, he would see a newcomer. He sheathed his sword and looked to him, leaning in at him and asking one question. "Might you know where any likely spots for treasure are around this 'ere island?"

They were going on about some treasure or something and he lost interest really fast. Where was Mizu and why was she taking so long to finish up whatever she was doing? He wanted to get out of here since there was nothing even remotely interesting going on that he could capitulate to and have some fun. Sui was just about to swear when he heard a voice being purposely obscured materialize behind him, asking him if he was the one causing the commotion screaming. He considered it for a moment and wondered if he really had made that much noise calling his sister's name and disturbing the peace. The girl standing before him was a tiny little thing that he easily and literally towered over. He just stood there staring down at her, taking in her form and her stature. The way she was looking at him behind the layers of makeup she wore as a mask. In her stance he saw that familiar posture, in her eyes he saw that familiar gaze, and in her voice he heard that familiar inflection unique to none other that Mizu. Raising one well groomed eyebrow he just kept playing the staring game with her for a moment longer before he made up his mind as to what he would do. And what he would do was simple. He would play along with her. He stood at attention in a military-esque fashion with his posture perfect and his head held straight. "No ma'am! I only just arrived here myself to see who it was." Lo and behold, some unlucky sap just happened to walk up to him asking him to make way. The kid seemed shy and couldn't make eye contact, and all Sui could think to himself was 'perfect!'

Pointing a large finger into the kid's face, his eyes assumed an accusatory glint as he indicted the innocent male. "It was him. I remember seeing him in the area whe-" Sui was cut off abruptly when the pirate took notice of the small group, came out and confessed the truth, thus ending Sui's little charade. The finger he was pointing seemed to deflate and his mood was a mocking imitation of being crestfallen. Sui wondered for a moment what the best response could be to give the man asking about treasure and the like, and came up with just the right solution. Resting his shoulder against the door frame again and folding his arms, a smug smile crossed his face. "Well this is your lucky day my good man. You happen to be talking to the Avatar himself." He was, of course, referring to himself in such high regard. A few passersby overheard his comment and actually stopped to whisper amongst themselves and stare in awe. If the Avatar wasn't the best treasure a pirate could find he didn't know what was.

All the talk of treasures on Kyoshi had reached far and wide in the world, far enough to reach the Eastern Air Temple. Liana had decided that travel and adventure would be a lot more interesting than hanging around with the few benders that resided in her temple. So she had set out to packing. Liana was in a jovial mood and found herself humming and lightly singing a song that had no particular meaning. She packed enough clothes to shield her from whatever weather she may meet on her journey, and food to last a decent amount of time. Before she went she made sure she had her trusty goggles, her staff, and of course her best friend; Kinai. Liana had climbed to the roost of the temple and let out a whistle of three different notes. Kinai responded instantly and flitted down to meet Liana. Together they set out and walked to the bison stables. Everyday Liana came here to groom, feed, and care for her chosen mount. It was one of the smaller sky bison by the name of Opai. With all her preparations taken care of, Liana and her companions set out into the world.

It was not really the treasure that had enticed Liana into leaving her home. She had everything she needed and had no need for money or lost treasures. But there was bound to be people there, others who sought riches and glory. Meeting new people was always one of the most interesting things to do, and Liana had lived a sheltered enough life as it was. There was a total of thirty two individuals who called the Eastern Air Temple home, eleven of which were actual air benders. Liana knew there were more at the Southern Air temple as well. But for all of her twenty three years of living, she had known the same people. The elder monks had not wanted Liana to go, but accepted that she felt it was something she must do. One could only gain so much wisdom from being in the same place their entire life.

Kinai let out a piercing screech as he spotted the island, circling back around Opai and perching on the rim of her saddle. Liana turned around from her seat on the bison's head, the reins held firmly in her hands. They had been flying at leisurely speeds, riding with the air currents and enjoying the scenery. They had gotten lucky and dodged every single storm that had been in their way. But now Liana was excited. She grabbed the goggles hanging around her neck and fitted them over her eyes. Liana adjusted her grip on the reins and snapped them lightly. "Let's show them the meaning of haste!" Her bison let out a trumpeting roar as she reared up for but a moment, flapping her large tail. All her legs flexed at once and imitated the motion of kicking off. The sudden tilt in the air and increase of speed had Liana's stomach dropping. She smiled with the rush of adrenaline and leaned forward, keeping her head low to avoid being blown backward. Kinai screeched in annoyance and let go of the saddle, flying himself at a more comfortable speed. Liana adjusted Opai's angling to head straight for the first village she saw. As the details grew more clear, Liana prepared herself to jump.

Liana let go of the reins and let the wind push her backward. In the air she tucked her legs close to her and flipped, reaching out to grab her staff. As she flew off of Opai she spun the staff in her air and opened the glider. Liana placed her feet on the footholds and began to guide herself down. She circled the village from above a few times, spotting a group of people. Liana dipped her glider and pulled up only when she was close enough to land safely. As she jumped she twirled her staff once more, closing the glider to allow herself to drop down. When she landed, a rush of wind would spread out from her feet, cushioning her. Liana holstered her staff upon her back and approached the group of people. They were definitely a motley crew; all hailing from a number of different nations. Liana could pick them out because of how they dressed. Once they saw her dressed in the orange, yellows, and browns of the Air nomads they wouldn't have to think twice about where she was from. The blue tattoos upon her body would give that away as well.

Everyone around here seemed to be so interested in something. They spoke of treasure, the words mouthed by drunken and smelly pirates. They spoke of the Avatar, who was supposedly far more rare and valuable than any treasure. That meant that, consequently, they were talking about him. No one seemed to get a good look at him, though, because they were speaking and muttering about it as if they didn't know. No one with any real knowledge spoke up, all of them making their own assumptions. He heard some of the travelers call themselves the Avatar, perhaps to get a free drink or a tumble for the night. But Han was the one. Unlike all of the pretenders, he had the power of an Avatar, which supposedly made him more special than them all. One of them, the man who he asked to move aside, did not seem to give him entry. Instead, he seemed to speak to others and play around, even calling himself the Avatar. Han couldn't help but feel that was just a little funny, considering his body and his eyes proved that he wasn't. The guy was obviously from the water tribes, along with that Mizu girl he'd been screaming about. Even so, most people didn't know the Avatar would come from the Earth Kingdom, as there hadn't been a water Avatar after Aang. Many anticipated it.

Han was one of the few who knew any different. And with this knowledge, he could at least stand to play a small game with the blue haired man claiming himself to be the bridge. He was instructed to "have fun," after all. "The Avatar was only just announced, stranger. That means he or she is only sixteen years old, and probably well guarded by many sages. I don't think you fit that description." He didn't mind other people claiming his name, honestly. It'd take some of the notoriety away from him. People always went far and wide to search for the Avatar, whether to do them harm or grant them favors. He would become overwhelmed by the constant needs of everyone around. For all he cared, he could live outside of history and have this fool claim to be the Avatar for the rest of his life.

"Then again, I don't know much," He looked down. Perhaps it was best to not try and disprove anyone. "I suppose I'm just being skeptical today -- sorry." His foot tapped the ground, and Sui would then be sent aside, pushed away from the door frame. The earthbender walked through the gap, and made his way to a seat in the corner of the establishment. It wasn't exactly a quiet place to sit, but it was solitary. That was his niche, honestly.

Unfortunately she was stopped by the exit blocked by an on looker. She frowned and was ready to ask him to step aside but was halted as he proclaimed himself to be the avatar. Suddenly her original quest came back to mind. "The Avatar?!" The gypsy fluttered towards him and inspected him up and down. Was he really? He seemed older, and looked very water tribe. The blues and tan complexion proclaimed he was not Earth Kingdom. Though he could be like her. She was a waterbender born within the Earth Kingdom.

xxxxxShe shook her head and took a few steps back just as her own thoughts were voiced by a newcommer who earthbent the fake avatar aside. "You're right kiddo" She said to Han, "This man couldn't possibly be the avatar. Too old and of water tribe origin. Though that's not quit solid proof, as I am a waterbender born and raised in the Earth Kingdom. Plus I'm sure all the wise sages and leaders here wouldn't dare allow the Avatar to spend time in a tavern near such dangerous company as Cap'n Fontlebottom the Dastardly Treasure hunter here." She gestured a thumb over her shoulder at the rambunctious rum drinker who had drawn a sword at the pair. Such interesting company she'd found herself in.

xxxxxHer ash eyes followed Han as she moved through the room to find a solitary spot. The young earthbender piqued her interest but not as much as the boisterous pirate did. Spinning out the door way and into the street she called after he new companion, "Come Cap'n! I, Edel the Wise and Mysterious Gypsy, shall find your grand treasure!" Her hand still clutched the apple. The talk of treasuring finding was probably nothing but hot air, but she'd believe it anyway just to see what could happen.

"Oi, that's Magnificent b*****d, get it right, eh?" Armand jested. Honestly, it wasn't much of a title, he just thought it was humorous. A man had called him this in a bar when he had too much to drink. The only remedy to this insult was death. Armand promptly slashed that old heckling man's arm off. Close enough.

At any rate, he ran after and kept pace with Edel. He was beginning to like this gypsy already. He had never quite ran across a girl so ready for treasure hunting in all his journeys. Hell, maybe he'd ask her to join the crew. Naturally he'd probably have to challenge many a crew member to Agni Kai for hitting on her. The ship was like another business. Don't try to screw your coworkers. As he kept pace, he continued to glance at the apple and make a small map in his head. More clearer than its flesh. "Down this valley." He said, as he made a sharp left. "By the way, that young lad who approached us. The boy in the garbs of the Earth Kingdom...the island made quite a stir when he arrived. They lined up on the beach and greeted him...bowed. You don't think that he might be somebody of a certain...celestial position, do you?"

Sui denied right away, claiming he was not doing anything and that he had just arrived there in order to see who was the one screaming. 'Liar liar, pants on fire.' she thought. For some reason, and apparently out of nowhere, the pirate who was previously causing a commotion showed up where the disguised waterbender was talking to her brother. He pulled out a cutlass and put its tip in the space between Mizu and her brother. As if out of a play, he started announcing that he was the one who caused the ruckus and also his name. Much more information than she needed, or wanted. It was more than obvious that he was not the one she was talking about. The one who screamed Mizu had a voice she knew very well. However, since he was claiming to have been the one. 'Could he be a friend of his?' she wondered if the man was Sui's acquaintance. "I doubt that, you were not the one screaming Mizu, your voice is completely different." she said in response to his claim. By then she forgot to keep disguising her voice, and Sui would be able to clear any doubts about her identity in case he still had any. But when the unknown man asked about treasure, and Sui responded by saying that HE was the treasure, claiming to be the avatar, Mizu had to hold her laughter. She obviously knew he was not the avatar. If anything, she had higher chances of being it than him, considering her age. Regardless, the avatar was not born in the Water Tribe in this cycle, but in the Earth Kingdom.

When another unknown man asked politely to be able to get into the building that was being blocked by Sui, he also talked about how the Avatar was just announced, being only sixteen years old and also guarded by sages. It was more than obvious that Sui did not match that description. The gypsy that had been mentioned by the unknown pirate from before seemed to agree with the points brought up by the earthbender. Even though she was apparently surprised by Sui's statement, it did not require much for her to figure out he was not telling the truth. Regardless, it seemed that he did not have enough patience to wait until Sui had actually moved before he made use of his Earthbending abilities. With those abilities, if Sui had not moved out of the way on his own, he would be moved along with the ground itself to open the path for the man to walk into the establishment. Once that would have been settled, Mizu would approach Sui and whisper into his ear. "Who are these weirdos?" she'd ask him. Obviously, she had done that without worrying about disguise or anything.

Liana found herself smiling at all that had happened since her arrival. It was quite the spectacle seeing the drunkard man swing his blade around and the small group of "pirates" seemed enthusiastic. When the tall, blue haired fellow claimed to be the avatar Liana raised an eyebrow skeptically. Before she could voice her opinion a soft spoken earth bender gave reasons why he was lying. That sparked her interest. Liana had not heard a single thing about the latest connection between this world and the spirit one. Anyone with that type of information may have a story worth listening to.

Liana walked into the tavern and sat down across from Han. She smiled politely as she removed her staff and spoke. "Hello stranger, my name is Liana. I'm from the Eastern Air temple." She figured she'd start out with simple introductions first. "You're the first person I've seen who has information about the Avatar. Can you tell me more?" Liana asked with genuine enthusiasm. She had a kind look in her eyes and even spoke politely. Everything about her screamed true blue Air monk.

Way more than he had anticipated was happening right now, all at once, without any room for deep, cleansing breaths. Despite the heaping pile of bodies he felt quite at ease. And being the tallest one there he could see everyone quite clearly, having to look down on them all anyway. He hadn't known that there would be anyone present who would have know for a fact that he wasn't the avatar, save for his sister of course, but that was a different story. This Shy Guy was the one calling his bluff with a certainty in his tone and more specifically his eyes that did not belie the utmost knowledge on this particular topic. Sui's typical s**t-eating grin was plastered on his face as he scrutinized the kid more closely, waiting to see what he would say next. So it was quite a shock to him when the kid started doubting his own rightness and actually apologized for it. The smile dwindled and faded completely for a while, but then the kid surprised him again by stomping on the ground and causing a small portion of the earth to slide to the side with him on it. Sui was being 'moved' out of the way since he had refused to step aside as he had politely been asked. The s**t-eating grin returned again as he watched the kid walk to a nearby seat. Leaning down to the Kiyoshi warrior who he had already guessed to be his sister in disguise, he heard her whisper in his ear asking who all these people were, in the blunt way she always spoke. In turn cupping his hand to his mouth and placing it at her ear, he whispered back "no clue. Let's go inside for a bit and leave 'em out here to keep being weird." And with that he reached down, took her by the hand and led her inside after the earth-bender.

On the inside, away from all the hullabaloo, he hoisted his sister up by the waist and placed her on the counter in between himself and the earth bender so essentially she would be facing them while they faced each other. It was an easy way to have all three of them be participants in the conversation he wanted to have. The kid interested him for some reason and he wanted to know why. Placing his hand on the kid's shoulder his smile grew even more charming than it usually was and he initiated the conversation by apologizing. "Dude. I just wanna say I'm sorry if I upset you out there or anything. Just some harmless fun is all, ya know?" He took the seat that he had been hovering over and pointed to Mizu. "This little brat right here" he said playfully while looking directly at her "is my little sister, Mizuki. I'm Suihara. And as you can plainly see I'm a waterbender, which makes her one too despite her attempts too appear otherwise." he was making reference to her current Kiyoshi warrior attire. Looking expectantly at the earthbender, he waited patiently with a glint in his eyes that practically asked in plain words, for his name in return. It didn't seem as if he was the only one who was curious about the kid, as the airbender came in almost instantly after that and interjected her own curious questions as well.

Before he knew it, he was being swarmed with people. That guy who had been teasing him, his "sister", and some airbending girl who seemed interested in the Avatar. Honestly, Han didn't know as much about that subject as he should, only that it was apparently him and apparently his cycle was troubled by an excess of dark energy. He didn't even know if the sages were speaking the truth. He had never been able to bend any other elements, though it wasn't like he tried or knew how. It just seemed... quite unlikely. Because of that doubt, he dare not tell anyone of himself. He would not like to lie to people or misguide them from the truth, which was still unknown at this point. Still, he could try and be helpful. This girl, unlike any of the others here, followed a polite introduction with an even politer request. He could not turn her down. "I've always been a very spiritual guy," He said, his elbows against the table, and his palms locked together. He looked up and eyed her for a moment, then averted his gaze back to the wooden circle. "So I know a little. I know that the Avatar's cycle has been broken by the mess of angry spirits and dark energy. But I know that there are some, sages and acolytes, who have claimed to find the newest incarnation somewhere in the Earth Kingdom." There was a little more, but he wasn't sure yet. It was just a theory.

"I'm Han, by the way," He added. Quietly and shyly, he moved to offer her a handshake. He didn't look at her, though. The earthbender registered her name: Liana, from the Eastern Air Temple. Needless to say, he didn't mind her presence, as she wasn't yet shuffled away by a churn of the earth. Unlike her, though, there were some unpleasant types closing in on him. Suihara, for example, was his name. He sat in front of Han, and tried to speak to him. It started off nice enough -- an apology. He didn't care for his insults about his sister, or anything like that. He didn't care for his playful gestures or his bright personality. What he cared for was whether he was half of what he said he was. "I guess it's nice to meet you." He grumbled a little. "And you too, Mizuki." He looked at the little sister with a little more fondness in his eyes, simply because she hadn't yet invoked his Avatar wrath. Suihara, on the other hand, was about to get a yip whip.

"I'm from a settlement on the coast of the Earth Kingdom, and I was born in Ba Sing Se. I'm an earthbender." He was surrounded by people with strange powers -- water, air. It was interesting to see so much diversity so quickly, as he'd gone his whole life seeing only rocks and metal. Unfortunately, none of them could be his teachers, as fire would be the next in line for him. If he could even learn it. Obtaining that element would probably greatly put him at ease, 'cause that'd at least be proof of his identity. "I forgive you for messing around with me. I didn't really take it personally anyway," He shrugged. "What are you guys all here for?"

Sui's response to her whisper was simply him saying that he had no clue and suggested that the two of them should go inside to leave the rest of the weirdos outside. Not that she had any option though as she was taken by her hand. The two of them went after the earthbender, apparently Sui wanted to talk to him after he showed some knowledge concerning the avatar. Maybe he could be one of those sages who took care of the avatar, or the avatar himself. Who knows? Well, not Mizuki. Once they reached the earthbender, Mizuki was about to find herself a seat beside where she thought Sui would sit down, but she was lifted instead and placed on the counter. "Wha!" she uttered, not even finishing the first word before Sui finished doing whatever he wanted. After he did that, he started apologizing before taking a seat. When he pointed to Mizu, she figured out he was going to introduce her normally, but instead she was called a brat. "Hey! I'm not a brat!" she responded. Of course, she was only sixteen, but that did not make him a brat. Plus, she was only dressed up like that because she wanted to surprise him. Come on, how many people would do that? Anyway, after he was done introducing her, she directed her gaze to the earthbender. "Nice to meet you. And I'm dressed up like this just to pretend I'm not a waterbender, but just because it looked interesting." she finished talking by commenting on what Sui said at the end of his sentence. As she did that, Mizu got off the counter. In case Sui had not noticed, where she was sitting would be a rather troublesome location for someone wearing a skirt that could not be said to be long. 'What was he thinking?' she wondered. She could not give voice to her question though, she hoped nobody noticed that. "So, you're from Ba Sing Se... How is it like? I've never been there." she asked out of curiosity. She knew how famous the city was but was eager to pay it a visit if possible. "Ah, I'm sorry. My name's Mizuki, nice to met you." she said when she turned her attention to Liana, who arrived there before the two siblings and initiated a conversation with Han first.

Liana was a bit taken back at how this Suihara fellow was acting to Han. She could tell from the look on his face that he was uncomfortable. Liana had not intended to drag others along with her and felt sorry for the boy. When Suihara lifted his sister on to the counter Liana casually looked away, not wanting to accidentally catch a peak underneath Mizuki's skirt. It was not that Liana had different preferences but she would rather not be looking at a young girl in such a risque manner. Lianaa was not old, but she was definitely older than this bunch assembled. When Suihara announced both of their names and their affiliation with the Water Tribe, Liana had to crack a smile. "Your parents must love water." Leanna considered herself lucky not to be named something like Breezey, Windella, or Airkeesha.

When Han spoke Liana turned her attention back to him, nodding her head as he told his tale. A worried look appeared on her face when Han spoke of disgruntled spirits. The cycle skipping an entire element was disturbing as well. Having grown up in a place surrounded by monks, Liana herself always felt a connection with the spirit world. She mediated and honored the spirits everywhere she went. A small inkling of a purpose larger than a simple journey began to leak into Liana's mind. If there was a way she could aid in the appeasement of the spirits she would offer her assistance wherever needed. "That is both bad news, and good news. I pray this new Avatar will find the strength, courage, and wisdom to set things straight. An entire element skipped over in the cycle? That is unheard of!" Liana said, leaning back in her seat as she crossed one leg over the other. With one hand she fingered the beaded necklace she wore. It was ceramic with a wooden medallion upon it, bearing the crest of her element. She had received it long ago, and believed that it brought her luck.

As Han reached across to offer her a hand shake, Liana reached her hand out but partially rose, giving a bow when she took his hand. It was a customary show of respect where she was from. Han speaking of Ba Sing Se sparked a fire of excitement in Liana's eyes. She had heard of the great city before, but had only seen it in pictures. A faint smile lingered on her face as she sat forward, more acutely interested in Han. "Ba Sing Se? It must be incredible living in such a place! There must be thousands of people there!" Liana said with enthusiasm. Where she lived there were barely enough people to call it a party. She mentally made a note to visit the place when she got the chance. Even here on Kyoshi there were so many more people than she was used to, and a rich culture to accompany them. Liana knew of the island's history and felt honored to be on it. Seeing Mizuki in the garb of a Kyoshi warrior made her want to stop and visit a temple if there was one.

Han's question made Liana pause for a moment.there was no real reason she had come other than to get out of her shell. She bit her bottom lip lightly in thought. "I want to travel the world, experience things a book couldn't give me.". Liana felt satisfied with that answer. Of course now she would be helping to stop these rampaging spirits. Liana turned to Mizuki and smiled at her, looking at each of the three people in turn. "Well met, it is a pleasure to be here." And it truly was! Just on her first day of actually landing she had seen so many peculiar things! There were earth benders, pirates, drunks, and water benders all gathered on this little island. Liana could not wait to see what the rest of the world had in store for her.

Everything was moving along pretty fast considering that everyone had just met, and it was all thanks to that pirate for drawing everyone's attention to this small island in the first place. But then again he probably should be thankful that he was getting to meet people, seeing as he would have probably been back home in the North right now playing with the wildlife or something. For instance Liana. She was an airbender, and he could not boast of seeing many airbenders before in his life, especially not up close like this where they were so close he could practically touch them. Not that he was about to reach out and touch her. Not only would that be awkward and possibly startle her, but he didn't want to give off a bad impression on the first meeting. And right now, he wasn't doing too well on that front. Clearing his throat rather loudly, more so than was necessary, he started over, his tone calmer and his demeanor less Sui and more Mizu in a manner of speaking. "You could say I'm here because of Mizu. I was actually just waiting for her to come back from her little fun time. And now you can say I'm staying because you've piqued my interest. I mean, who would have guessed that destiny or whatever would have it out for us waterbenders? If you really look at it, I could have been the next Avatar if those spirits or whatever hadn't gone all evil and stuff." His grin returned with less gusto than before, but one could see that he was quite interested in all this avatar stuff. Turning to Liana he nodded. "Guess that's what a lot of benders want these days. A little adventure is always good in my book."
