Robert T. Graden
Founder of G.I.

The sun began to rise over the city bringing natural light to all of the civilians. Slowly light began to make its way through the windows of the corporate tower and the offices began to become visible. At first all of the floors were quite there was no sign of life within the work place. Quickly though all that changed within a matter of minutes. The main lobby began to fill up with up people coming in to work. Men and woman suited up in business attire made there way through the elegant lobby going to their respected offices and cubicles. A day at Graden Industries had finally begun.

One man stepped through the doors heading across the lobby. Many of the employees stopped, smiled, and allowed the man to have a clear path to the elevators. Not even one of the workers got near the elevators while the man stood waiting. Once the doors open he waited while other workers made their way out and then stepped inside having it all to himself. Pressing the button for one of the top floors he waited patiently with his hands in his pockets. It didn't take long to reach his floor and he stepped out heading to his office.

"Good morning Mister Graden." Greeted a young blonde secretary with a warm smile. "Morning Sally, is my coffee on my desk?" The girl nodded, "Of course just how you like it Mister Graden." Robert opened the door to his office before turning to her. " Thank you, keep up the good work." The office was pretty big. It was large enough to accompany around a good amount of people. One of the walls was a complete set of large windows that filled the room with plenty of light. Many of the furniture and decor looked old fashioned for the time being made of finely crafted and polished wood. Robert walked over to his desk picking up the still steaming cup of coffee that was waiting for him. He slowly sipped it as he looked out the window upon the city. A small grin came to him the coffee was the perfect thing he needed to start the day. Without looking away from the city he placed his finger on the desk. A holographic display popped up instantly. "Please call up the technicians from the lower levels. I wish to speak with them." He said talking to the display. There were a couple of sounds confirming the command. Of course the command he just sent was directed towards all the children who were in the secret labs below the building.

Se-Bast ~_ User Image _~ "Sheba"

With eyes that see souls...
I am a daughter of Bast

Se-Bast...called "Sheba" by pretty much everyone else...was busy doing early morning rituals in her small room. It was described as small, but was actually a decent size...if you measure up as well. Scratching the chin of one of the many strays that seemed to find their way towards her, the small girl stood and did a final langorous stretch that ended in her performing a Bridge, neck stretched to to blink at the cat that had walked under her arched back. He blinked back, and Se-Bast smiled. Finishing, Se-Bast made sure she wore proper "normal" attire, putting on a black t-shirt and leggings, topping those with a loose light brown coat and a simple dark skirt, and slipped on moccasins. As a general rule, the colored girl didn't like shoes...but she could stand moccasins, so she wore those when footwear was absolutely required to be normal. Grabbing hold of a rope, Se-Bast climbed to the beams that her "storage" space room had, and used those to move towards Robert Graden's office. When someone came to get the child of the Children, they would find "Sheba" already gone, and call Robert's office.

But before then, as she was generally gone after last...the people had a silly notion she needed eight hours of sleep, or better yet ten...Se-Bast made her careful way through hatches and maintenance tunnels, covering her hands with the sleeves of the coat against any heat or steam, dark eyes peering ever forward. Looking down a ventilation grate and holding absolutely still, barely breathing, Se-Bast was convinced no one was in the room. Carefully opening the grate...she carried screwdrivers and other tools in her pockets, just for this kind of thing...the child held her hair back and barely moved her nose past the level of the grate, only her eyes moving. Good. Still empty. Carefully sliding her body around, Se-Bast hung by the edge and let go to land with a barely-perceptible TUMP and a single turn off to the side. Still nothing in Graden's reception office. Balancing carefully on a chair, Se-Bast re-screwed the grate as best she could, and hid. The secretary returned with papers in her hands, and after making sure no one else was around Se-Bast followed her in, silent and undetectable. At least by the receptionist. By this time the call would have come through to Graden...the other Children presumably en-route through more regular paths...that one of the "technicians" isn't where expected, and if they had gotten there early.

If Robert looked around, he would see Se-Bast standing quietly in a corner, hands straight and clasped before her with her head bowed respectfully. Her hair was a curtain that hid her face, but her eyes were locked on Graden, perhaps unnerving to most as she stared...but Se-Bast always did that. Stare, as she became focused, without blinking. Besides, it was fun to freak people out. When the room was just the two of them, Se-Bast approached the desk and bowed. "I'm here, Graden sir..." she murmured in her quiet child's voice. "Hopefully, first." A tilt of the head, a mischievous flash of white teeth and a spark of amusement in the eyes as Robert gave back his reply to the slightly concerned voice that had reported her absence. She did this all the time, usually finding the tracers they put on her...and promptly taking them off. Or putting them on other people. This morning was between times, so there wasn't anything tracking her position, hence the slight note of worry.

~Emi~

Child of Confusion

Emi groaned as she dragged herself out of her bed. She rubbed her eyes as she walked over to her small trunk that laid at the foot of her bed, and pulled out a loose comfy creme sweater tunic, a blue and black stripped tank top, and some black leggings and gray boots. She gingerly pulled the tunic over her head, wincing from the bruises that she had aquired from her last assigment. Emi didn't know how but she had somehow managed to earn a few black bruises on her shoulders. She shook her head and continued to get ready for the morning. She took one final look at herself in the mirror and than began to pull her hair into a loose braid pulled off to the side. Today is going to be a long day... she thought miserablly as she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear before leaving her room.

"It's way too early...." she muttered as she began making her way to Graden's office. She didn't mind seeing Graden, she just hated the mornings. Emi began to strech before the pain in her shoulder had her lower her arms gently. She approached the door and took a moment to adjust her tunic before stepping into the office. "Morning..." the blonde headed child said while yawning. She than gave a small smile to the others in the room. "So what's going on?" she asked.

Samantha Graden

Winter passes and I begin to count the days...

Samantha had been quietly seeking enjoyment through an old hard cover book with a content smile on her face. Sitting with a straight posture in a white chair with her legs loosely crossed with her foot resting ontop of the other. Her bed looked as though it had been untouched, had she been reading all this time? She slowly tipped her head to the side, parting her lips to expel a calm sigh. The form of her lips looked as though she were visualizing something bitter in reaction to what she was reading until the corners of her lips raised to a soft smile. A long lock of her shimmery golden blonde hair quietly shifted in front of her, the ends of her sitting on her page. Lifting her hand to turn the page she heard a knock at the door, her hand slowly lowered from the room as her violet gaze looked to the door, her long fingers slowly curled inward though Shortly after she heard the orders to go to Graden’s office. She seemed somewhat surprised not realizing that night had even passed. The young lady smiled after hearing the order as her fingers slowly uncurled, she was hoping to see her Father. Without leaving a mark on the page she left off on she simply clapped the two sides together with her thumb and index finger, honestly she had read it so many times she could read the book with her eyes closed. Placing the book down on a small stand beside the chair, she stood up from her seat and walked out of the room, running her fingers back through her long hair. Walking down the hallway, she solemnly listened to the sound of her feet tapping against the tile floor; echoing through the icy air. Normally she’d enjoy the company of another walking beside her but it seemed today she was stuck with the sound of her own footsteps, “I wonder what time it is?” She softly asked herself, breaking the silence as she looked to a clock she passed in the hallway, surprised to see how early it was, she could only imagined the sleepy faces of the other children with a smile; That would be so cute! Crossing her arms over her chest as she let a melodious laughed escape her lips.

Walking into Graden’s office, she dropped her hands down to her sides, her gaze traveled over to her Father with a smile, “Good morning.” She politely nodded to her Father before looking to the other children in the room with a smile, she always thought they were cute not matter what time of day it was. She moved away from the doorway, her footsteps were nearly soundless as she walked, softly patting her hand on Emi’s head as a friendly greeting. Halting beside the girl she quietly waited for the other children to arrive, and to hear her Father’s voice. Samantha slowly turned her head to Sheba who stood in the corner of the room. For a moment she didn’t realize it was her before giving her a good stare, softly smiling to the girl as soon as she realized her identity she waved her hand to the girl; though she had hoped the girl would join her. She kindly motioning the girl to come stand beside her, preferring the girl not to stand in the corner alone. Directing her gaze toward her Father she obediently waited for Graden’s instructions.

~Dr. Violet Windsor~

Violet stirred, her head nestled into the crook of her elbow. Blurry eyed, she lifted her head and surveyed the darkened room with hazel eyes half closed. Her forehead furrowed in an expression of part confusion and vague annoyance she sat up and felt around the workbench she'd used as a pillow that night. After much fumbling, she found her glasses not on the desk at all, but in fact perched on top of her head. Slipping them down into place she stood and stretched, setting off the motion sensor lights as she did so. As her lab flickered into life she puffed out a sigh as she studied the chaos in front of her. Playing with the technology had started out as tinkering, but judging from the room around her she'd grown pretty obsessed, piles of wiring and tools strewn over several work benches, with bigger machines lining the walls. With a shake of her head she exited the lab, brown locks bouncing across her shoulders as she did so.

Travelling down the underground corridor she got into a lift, scanning her ID card and tapping in her personal code that would lead directly to her private apartment. Above ground, it had it's own windows and was completely self contained, a condition she'd laid down if she were to live in the company building full time. After a quick shower she dressed for the day, her usual black trouser suit off set with the colour from her blue pinstripe shirt. She was just making a tea to wake herself up when the message from Graden himself popped up on the holographic display built into her kitchen surface.
"Oh lovely...Nice of him to warn me..." She muttered under her breath, so much time working alone had created her awful habit of talking to herself. Continuing to make her tea one handed she typed in a quick message in reply, enquiring if her presence was needed at the ungodly early hour. Although Graden was her boss and head of the entire company she was far more relaxed then she should be, after dealing with the children themselves she'd become far sterner then most women her age.

In the parking lot of the Graden complex, in the deepest depths of the garage in a dark corner where there were no lights and few people dared to park. Where there was only shadow, it seemed to move and shift, twisting and moving as though it was filled with some kind of liquid. There was no sound however and in the black swirling chaos, something was beginning to take shape. It was a humanoid form, tall a couple of feet too tall for a normal human being, and what's more there were a pair of tattered cat-like ears that stood up off the top of it's head. It was covered in black fur that seemed to absorb any light that touched it, even it's long hair which went down to it's upper back seemed more like a dark gray then the white it would have been under normal circumstances. It's eyes were nearly invisible and if one could see them they would only see a pair of black orbs that seemed to sink in like an eternal abyss. It did not wear a shirt but it's dark pants looked like they belonged to a military man with a camouflage pattern to them but instead of colors it was black and shades of gray. As it stepped out of the shadows, tendrils of darkness still followed it, playing tricks with the lights overhead. Utael had come.

Standing still for a moment, the creature took a moment to take in the sights of the parking garage, there were few cars down this far and the ones that were probably belonged to people that didn't leave the complex very often. It did not matter however, the creature had chosen this location because it would give it time to adjust to the human world once again. This place was different from the places that it was used too, there weren't any wandering spirits, in fact it seemed entirely devoid of them, which was why it was there in the first place.

Moving through the parking spaces, there was no sound but the tendrils of darkness continued to dance around the creature even under the white brilliance of the lights in the parking garage. Such a phenomenon however would be completely unseen but human eyes, it was beyond their comprehension and because of that it did not exist to them, a fact which made it's work much easier, though sometimes there were exceptions however. Over the last seven thousand years there were at least two handfuls of individuals who could see it, though they were almost always afraid of it, and those that weren't understood it's purpose. This was not one of those times however.

Moving silently through the garage, Utael found the stairs and began to make it's way up to the upper levels of the Graden complex. It had known that the humans were collecting human souls, but for what the creature had no idea, but it was going to find out today. Over the years humans had tried to collect human souls before and interfere with the spirit world hundreds of times, but during those times, they could do no real harm and more often than not they destroyed themselves in the process. So while it was nothing new to Utael that humans were interfering, the reasons for the interference was what it was there for. The further it progressed up the stairs, it could feel more human's around it now, going about their business.

((Gah, not my best work but I have to leave like right now. X3))

Trace Graden
"Tensions will rise, lives will be put in peril. However I will rock the stage in which I am presented with."

Trace was sound asleep within his own room under the Graden complex. His room was the average size for a boy of his age. It had enough space to put in a tv, desk, and even a new dresser or two. The room however was pretty empty aside from his bed. Taking one look at the sleeping boy he appeared to be dead more then asleep. It mainly appeared that way because of him being extremely motionless and silent. The room was dark and that was the perfect sleeping environment for him. Only one light appeared to be in the room, the little green light radiating from the gem imbedded in the boys chest. All of a sudden the ceiling lit up making the once dark room as white as paper. Trace instantly shot up as if being jolted by lightning. He looked a bit groggy and turned to the way to see that there was a message from Graden on the holographic display. Instantly the grogginess went away and excitement came to him. "Mission time." He said happily as he hopped out of bed.

Trace began getting ready rushing a bit as he changed into a clean uniform. Getting all of his equipment together he concealed it before pressing the button to open his door to the hall ways. He didn't take any time at all to get to the elevators considering he was basically running down the corridors. It was a good thing that many of the elevators that connected to the labs weren't connected to the main ones. That meant no traffic and no waiting. Once he made his way up to Graden's level he rushed directly to the office. He hoped that he was going to be the first one there. Upon entering he saw that the girls beat him there. He made it a personal goal to make it before them one day. This wasn't that day though. "So are we getting another job?" He asked right after the door closed behind him. Trace went over to his usually spot next to the book case leaning up against the wall.

~Emi~

Child of Confuison

Emi smiled weakly as Samantha greeted them. Under normal circumstances she would have thrown a fit if someone had touched her hair, but she didn't mind if it was Samantha. She looked up to her like a big sister. Emi touched her hair to see if it had fallen out of place. Satisfied she glanced up at the door to see Trace enter. "You're late." she said with a smirk. The girl crossed her arms as she walked over to where Trace was standing and stood beside him.

"I think we might have a new mission." Emi said hopefully. Se had always enjoye missions because it the was one of the few times she could leave the base. The only downside was the bruises and other injuries that she would recieve. Emi winced slightly from the slight pain in her shoulders and began to rub them gently. "How was your last mission?" she asked curiously.

She placed her hands on her sides once she was certain that the pain was gone. Maybe she did have to work on her technique, maybe then she would cut down on the amount of injuries that she always recieved on her injuries. Out of the children she was the one that was the most reckless. Some considered it a bad, but Emi didn't. She honestly believed that she was the one that was willing to go an extra mile to accomplish her missions. Maybe she was thinking this out too much. She shook her head and awaited Trace's response.

Se-Bast ~_ User Image _~ "Sheba"

With eyes that see souls...
I am a daughter of Bast

She had actually been by Graden's desk, but sensing more familiar auras approaching the office Se-Bast had retreated closer to her corner. She stayed silent, taking just a few calm paces as Samantha invited her closer...but no more, still staying to the back. Nodding to Emi in a late greeting, Se-Bast watched as the doctor's voice came through and Trace came up only to get scolded by Emi. But they were all excited, and apparently geared up to be gone at a moment's notice. Although Se-Bast approved, she hadn't wanted to gear up only to be disappointed she wasn't the one being sent out. She would wait and see if she was assigned anything, always wanting more challenging missions as everyone always treated her as an actual child. But she had perhaps the most punishing Gem, ande Se-Bast had long ago given up childhood in the past she had had that even Robert Graden didn't know everything about.

With her eyes closed, part of Se-Bast's sensory world was closed, allowing the others more clarification. Something was wrong, the small brown girl tuning out voices as she frowned and concentrated. "Mr. Graden..." she finally broke her silence a few minutes later, small voice quiet but clear with her accented English. "There is...something...in the building. It's strong, the only reason I can sense it this far. And it's coming closer." Stepping closer, Se-Bast opened her eyes, her voice calm and oddly mature for someone her age, Se-Bast often called an old soul for her surprising maturity. As light crossed her face, the 'black' eyes would be revealed to actually be a dark liquid brown, with a slightly lighter almost-bronze/gold coloring around her pupils. And these deep well eyes were looking past the others as Se-Bast walked closer to the desk, hands patiently by her sides. "Permission to go investigate?" the girl asked, blinking calmly and not seeming to realize the absurdity of such a question coming from her, from the Child that was truly a child and smaller than everyone present.

All Se-Bast was really aware of was that she had felt-heard-sensed something strange, a soul so strong she was actually aware of it through her gem's enhancement of her natural abilities, making her more aware of souls. Average people hardly gained her notice, their sense to her like ghosts of color. Souls, too, unless they were charged with the trauma of death, tended to seem more-or-less on the same level to her. But this one...was strong, it was clear. This person knew their purpose, knew their place in life, had no doubts. It was a strong soul...not really all that human. Se-Bast waited for an answer, although she probably would investigate herself anyways; it just meant her curiosity could be fulfilled now instead of later when Se-Bast would sneak away from whatever it was she was SUPPOSED to be doing. Head tilted as she waited, Se-Bast was composed, not seeming worried...and she wasn't. Not yet. Merely interested to see what kind of being could feel that way, so different from normal humans, so different from the other Children. In a way, close to how her own spirit felt...even though Se-Bast couldn't sense her own soul or aura, just those of others.

Curtis showed up to Mr. Graden's office with his usual gentleman stature, "Good morning everyone, what a beautiful day. Now something tells me there is something to ruin it." Curtis pressed up his glasses and activated his Specs. Loads of information began to scroll on his glasses, he used it to mainly check on anything current that could be lead to a job for the day. He pressed a small button on the side agian to focus on the others.

He stepped to the side and leaned on the wall next to Se-Bast. He listened to her with a serious look about how she felt a pressence. He knew that it wasn't wise to deny her abilities, even with her gem. But, his gem said other wise. He looked at Se-Bast, "You're not going without me. Something about this "thing" might be someone that has been stalking us for a while. I just hope it's not those conspiracy people that say we torture people for their souls," Curtis shrugged with an annoyed look, "I'm still asking for that request to get rid of them." Curtis joked. His gem suggested to just stay put and wait for this thing to come to them while they prepare. Curtis thought about it and thought it was a fine idea, but for some odd reason he just found it so interesting to ignore it once in a while. It gave him a strange feeling to have that 'I told you so' banter from his own subconscious. He checked his wrist and rubbed his brand, it was designed to turn into his rifle when needed, he figured he might.

For the time being, he pushed his glasses again to turn on his specs and activated its multi vision mode. He looked down and saw multiple beings walking through out the building, but one stood out. He couldn't make out what it was, but he saw why Se-Bast might be nervous. He looked back up and looked at Graden and smirked, "I'm sure it's just a rat in the system. How about it?"

The shadow creature known only to a couple of individuals, all of whom were dead, as Utael continued to make it's way up the winding staircase in a steady, untiring pace. At one point it stopped, sensing eyes upon it. It looked directly at the girl who was called Se-bast, and while there was distance and a great deal of building and people between them, it's black orbs could see her clearly. It could see her soul, her life, almost everything about her. It didn't let the information sit in it's mind for very long however, there were so many humans it did not allow them all to reside in it's head only those that carried any significance to it, though this one could see it and it was one of the humans responsible for taking the souls of those in limbo and using them for their own devices. The thought alone was sickening, but here in this place Utael could feel the suffering in this place.

After the brief moment that it used to see the girl, Utael felt another pair of eyes upon it, but this one could not see it for what it was, no, this human could only see a faint glimmer of it's essence through the use of technology. From this distance such things would be of no consequence, but it did not matter who could see Utael for none of them could stop it. Continuing once more, Utael continued until it reached the lobby and simply passed through the door. The creature paid no mind as humans passed it without even the faintest flicker of recognition. Some of them might see a brief flicker of a shadow in the corner of their eye but nothing more, so Uteal started across the lobby passing through humans and objects alike.

Though it did not know anything about the building, it simply followed the feeling of dread. As it did, Utael passed a great many things that it had never seen before throughout human history. This place was certainly dedicated to furthering the species as a whole, but Utael felt sorrow knowing that humanity was walking a thin line that could very well spell the end for their race and their world. The thought made the creature's mission all the more important. By now it was heading down again, passing through more doors and personnel as it searched for the source of Graden's power.

Se-Bast ~_ User Image _~ "Sheba"

With eyes that see souls...
I am a daughter of Bast

Se-Bast froze, slowly turning her head to meet the eyes of Utael through matter. Her small fists clenched as she stared hard at the Grim for a few seconds. Whiping her head to Curtis with narrowed eyes as she read his aura, Se-Bast's face was harsh in an uncharacteristic snarl; her feistiness street rat survival was showing. "I was NOT nervous..." she snapped, lips pressed thin as Se-Bast held onto her temper. "But I am NOW. Stay here and strategize like you're good at, I'M the most qualified to get chewed up into pieces and spat out. Get Mr. Graden and the others into safety, now! That 'rat' of your just walked through a freaking wall..." Without saying any more, Se-Bast spun around and brought out a small wireless drill as she approached a grate. "No time..." she murmured, spinning and kicking it with a glancing blow. Watching it skittering off the wall, Se-Bast murmured a quick apology to Robert Graden with a bow and immediately climbed into the ventilation system. Taking no notice of the slight burns she was receiving, Se-Bast took the quickest way back to her room.

Suited up, Se-Bast had dozens of her blades, her slender fingers on small hands sliding along their edges as if checking for their sharpness. But she knew how sharp they were...especially to things that went bump in the night. She had always seen souls, ghosts and spirits. At least, she would see their manifestations of energy, the traces of auras they managed to withold even through death. Pushing thoughts of the other Children from her mind...together they held a lot of firepower...Se-Bast made her move with uncharacteristic noise. A few sparks and whistles rang down the hall, the normal humans scattering as Se-Bast calmly watched with raised eyebrows at their foolishness. It wasn't like she had put any REAL firepower into the small firecrackers...had she? She could never be entirely sure...

Convinced the hall was clear, Se-Bast dropped down from the grate in the ceiling Spidey-style and waited for Utael to come into sight. She knew he was coming towards her, able to sense the line he was following, although in a dimmer matter than the Grim. And Se-Bast also knew he was probably more than aware that she was waiting for him. She just wanted to see how CURIOUS he may be, how...possible to rationalize with. Spinning slightly on the cord, black hair down, Se-Bast waited, earwig in place and eyes tracking Utael calmly without fear. At least, not fear for herself.

As Utael moved from room to room, it gained a little more knowledge about humanity in it's current state of technology. They did whatever they could to advance the race as a whole, sometimes making sacrifices for what they believed was a greater good. The shadow creature wasn't sure if some of the things that they were developing were even good at all, but there seemed to be just as much good to go with the bad it seemed which was why Utael was never told to intervene in their dealings until now. In fact, it's masters were quite intent on letting humanity deal it's own course even if it meant the end of themselves, but what they were doing with other human souls could simply not continue.

Turning a corner Utael came face to face with the young girl that it had seen before. It knew that the girl could see it though it made no indication of the fact, it simply continued to walk, getting ever closer to her just as it had the others. As the girl looked on the shadowy visage of Utael, she could see the tendrils of darkness stretching and reaching out around it like shadows from some tentacled beast, Utael's form itself was partially obscured in darkness that seemed to emanate from it's body concealing the finer points of it's features from view.

As it approached Se-bast, Utael sensed a strange feeling from the young girl. Her life was short thus far but she seemed to be far beyond her years. "Do you intend to halt my progress young one?" it asked though it did not stop walking intent on simply passing through her if need be. As it spoke, it's mouth did not move and it's voice seemed to come from everywhere yet had no apparent source. It's tone was soft and nurturing one that it had developed five millennia ago to help ease the spirits that it would have to take to the next world. While her apparent ability to see it evoked minor curiosity as it usually did, Utael had much more important things to discover than this young girl's abilities and would not spare her a moment more than the single question he'd asked of her this day.

Curtis arched an eyebrow as Se-Bast lashed out at him. He did respect her will to protect everyone. He wondered what she is seeing, but right now whatever it was was getting her on edge. He just stood there with his arms crossed and watched as she tore off a vent and crawled through like a ninja. Curtis smirked at that thought, they were more qualified as ninjas really.

He wlaked towards the door to follow instead of going throught the vent as well. He stopped at the door and turned his head, "Do follow her orders, we don't know what we could be dealing with." He walked out of the office and made his way to the Childrens' rooms. He figured that Se-Bast might need her tools, and it was suggested by his gem. The whole time he walked there, he had his hands in his pockets like he was casually wondering the halls.

He turned a corner and found himself behind Se-Bast. She was staring out into the hall like there was a monster there. Well... there were a few times that happened so it wasn't uncommon. He stood there, not moving next to Se-Bast to make sure she doesn't gut him with her knives. He pushed up his glasses to activate him and flippe through the fields to see if he couldn't catch anything. Through his strongest field, the one used to see spectres, he only caught a mass of energy. No definite description, but he knew it was there. He didn't move, but he kept his specs on to see the being. It was dark and strong. Curtis figured that his weapon might have a chance, but there were times it didn't work with some physical entities.

For the time being he just stood there, staring at Se-Bast and glancing at the hall from time to time, "Something the matter? I guess the rat wouldn't be heading into our rooms with you here. Maybe it's heading to a place where there is a lot of forbidden cheese." Curtis placed his hand on his wrist to touch his bracelet. If needed, he might have to use his weapon in such a small area.
