With the sudden call from the ref, Torhu quickly shifted strategy. With the enemy firebender back in zone 2, he'd be less offensive. Perhaps now Taka and Tohru could double team the waterbender. Once more, Tohru dug her feet into the ground and punched in a 1, 2 motion, sending 2 stone disks at the waterbender. While one disk would be aimed at her, the other disk would only look like it was going for her before curbing to hit the firebender in zone 2.

yes, if it hit, you'd still be hit, but not knocked back due to the penalty call

Taka simply ignored the Waterbender for now, following Tohru's attack on the firebender in hopes to push him off the ring. The fact was, someone needed to keep focus on him so that he couldn't bide his time and strike at either of his opponents while they were busy with Izumi. Taka was better fit to deal with a firebender, as he was a user of water. Taka pulled up a large amount of water from the batch near him, enough water to form a whip that could extend from Taka and hit Kai. However, this was not the aim, as that would be an illegal move. Instead, he broke this attack into four sections. Holding the torrent skyward with his left hand, and breaking off fractions and sending these to the foe with his right, he shot forward three individual attacks in increments, while the rest of the water stayed slightly peaked out of its gutter, as Taka waited to aim it for an opening that would be created by Kai's own folly of movements while he warded off the blasts.
