[PRP] You, Me and Everything (Mei x Eisheth)

Of course, Eisheth understood Mei might be a bit hurt with her reaction, the alchemist had to keep reminding herself the ghoul was still just a student, but she simply couldn't help laughing at Mei's arguments. However, her last reply was an interesting thing to consider.

"You're wrong here", she answered. "Some of our people aren't exactly friendly towards Halloweeners, but as far as I noticed not all Halloweeners go along well with each other, too. I never said we aren't racist, and most of us don't feel any need to be comforted and empowered by Halloweeners. And no urge to comfort and empower them", Eisheth sighed. "We are obeying orders, and it was a highest decision to settle here, not a personal choice of every single horsemen. A lot of us, actually, would rather prefer to raid human world immediately and die battling. That would be a good way to die, to tell the truth, and I feel the same way. I'm not a sage here, and I don't question Medea's or Cymbeline's orders, but I think they have better view on the situation, and they should be thinking alliance would be good for both our factions in long term relationship. But nobody said it's going to be easy and fast", Eisheth paused watching over Mei's expression.

"Same in personal relationship", the alchemist had to admit. "You have to find some confidence in yourself first, then you'll be able to comfort the other, - and be comforted. It's like a chain, even consisting of just two links, - or more, if we're talking about peoples, - if one of the links is weak, the chain is in danger".

The alchemist places her arms on Mei's shoulders, and looked in her eyes. "Mei... relax, ok? We have time right now, time to enjoy our lives, not to ruin them".

In the end she knew Eisheth was right. She had more experience than she did with the world, so perhaps it was easier for the Horsewoman to rationalize things. Pushing aside her childishness to really listen and ponder over Eisheth's words for a moment.

"I guess....I guess you are right. Its not like Halloweeners are really any better in that aspect. There are still many who react towards your people as your people react to mine. I would just rather see a world where everyone just...got along." She managed a small smile when Eisheth draped her arms over her shoulders, her scent filling her sense once more. It was a calming smell. Exotic yet soothing all in one. "But if we can't work together well then the Hunters have us."

She leaned her head forward, placing her forehead against the other's shoulder. "You might want to die in battle. But I don't want you to."

Oh, thanks Queen, that was much calmer now, and the alchemist felt a bit relaxed. "Huh, do you know a better way of dying? Medea, Aisa, Heidla, all those Death ladies keep saying all paths lead to the same way, so there's only Death in the end, so isn't dying in the battle the best way to meet him? Though...", Eisheth caressed Mei's hair. "It doesn't mean we have to look for it as soon as possible, there's plenty of time ahead, anyway".

One of the ghoul's words was actually really interesting. "I wonder", she mumbled randomly. "If hunters get along so well with each other... if they have such a weakness, too, we have to be able to use it". She kissed Mei's forehead. "You should be the specialist in the human souls here".

It was Mei's turn to laugh now. Turning her head just slightly so that she could look up at her. "I mean...I don't want you to die. Ever. I'm sure if you died you probably wouldn't come back as a Halloween denizen or anything like that. And even if you could you wouldn't remember anything about this life anyway." That was a part that troubled the Jiang Shi some. She had no recollection of her life before she crawled out of the grave. Her hands reached up to grasp at Eisheth's shawl. "I would miss you too much if you died. Because I....care about you." Her grip tightened momentarily before her hands relaxed.

Her smile grew wider at the kiss to her forehead. "Their belief in what they do is what gives them strength. Their bonds and love for one another." Biting at her bottom lip she ran thoughts through her head. "Breaking them down and making them question that belief might be a way. Then striking when they least expect it. But I suspect that the Hunters might be a little too smart for that tactic. I know very little about Hunters cept that they hate us and want nothing more than our destruction."

Eisheth grinned. "I don't have to more about hunters that they're lowly humans, who for some unknown reason started to consider themselves not our prey, but our enemy. Look, even the name they took for themselves: Hunters! It should make those little creatures feel so proud of themselves, since all their life and all their history they were nothing else, but prey. I can appreciate their courage, but I can't stop feeling we're just naturally clearing the balance destroying them".

Eisheth sighed, and caressed Mei's hair in a playful way. "But I really don't want to talk about it now. You still serious about some dance classes?", she poked the ghoul.

"I suppose you could just say that they are protecting themselves like we do. But they seem to be more of the antagonists in this situation. Though I'm sure they believe the same of us." Mei was certain that the Hunters would never be completely destroyed. Humans, just like those of Halloween and even the Horsemen, had to have a natural pension and drive to survive. And just like them would do whatever it took to make sure their survival was ensured. But she had little sympathy for them.

Letting out a small squeak when poked, she grinned up at Eisheth cheekily. "I'm always serious when it comes to dance. Well...except when I just dance silly but that is the only time I am not serious about it." She fiddled lightly with one of the Horsewoman's chains around her neck. "You've probably never seen a ballet performance have you?"

"A ball... what?", Eisheth wasn't sure she heard it well. Was it again some kind of Jiang Shi stuff she had no clue about? She leaned at Mei with the fire of curiosity in her eyes. "Is it some kind of ball game? Tell me!"

"Ballet." Mei giggled lightly with a shake of her head. "No, its not a ball game. Its a dance. A very elegant dance where most of the time you are up on the tip of your toes most of the time." She stood up on tip toes to show her what she meant before falling back flat onto the balls of her feet.

"Its a really hard dance on your feet though. You have to wear special shoes and can often break your toes from time to time. But once you get going and have perfected your dance you can float across the stage." Rubbing at the back of her neck, she grinned. "Every dance tells a story, but without words. Just dance, emotion and music."

Eisheth could easily understand the concept of working hard to master something: after all, that's what she has been doing all her life. However, spending so much efforts to master the dance... "Is it really necessary?", she wondered. "I've thought the dance is... just the dance. You listed to the music, to the rhythm of the world around, and your body moves accordingly, you don't even have to think, on the contrary, it's better to shut down your mind and let your body be......... I don't really want to break my legs. Or yours", the alchemist's voice sounded like as if she was already guilty.

Taking Eisheth's hand, she lightly kissed the back of it. It was...interesting to see the concern she had over Mei breaking her toes or legs as she put it. "If you want to dance the style of dance right it is."

Lacing her finger's with the Horsewoman's she gave a light shrug. "Ballet is just one of many dances. There are many styles of dance that require a certain guideline to be followed to be done correctly. While wildly flailing about and just letting go is a good way to just have fun or even relieve some tension, ballet requires a more stricter policy in how things are done. But its not a dance for everyone. There are faster paced dances of course and waltzes. But even those generally had a certain step to them."

Mei's touch was hot as flame, despite the fact her skin was actually cold. Could it be like a cold burn, the alchemist wondered; she heard about it from Heidla and other Death clansmen used to harsh nordic climate of Death. That was very similar: just a little touch of Mei's skin made her own burn with thousands of little inner flames; Eisheth had a hard time controlling herself. She couldn't help quickly kissing ghoul's ear, and slightly biting her ear lap, though.

"But one needs to keep it so organised and difficult?", she complained. "Isn't the main purpose of dance just having fun and relaxing? And here, what you're re talking about, you make it sound like a work or duty".

She shivered lightly at her teeth on her ear.

"Well like I said, its not for everyone." It was hard to explain she supposed. Almost as if explaining color to a creature without eyes. Until Eisheth actually saw it she probably wouldn't quite understand. "You can have fun if it is what you enjoy. I enjoy it the most when I can perform for others and it makes me feel....elated if my dance performance makes them happy and is entertaining for them. It reaffirms that all the work and practice that you put into learning and perfecting your dance was worth it if it at least makes one person you perform for happy." That was always how she saw it anyway. While she loved dancing, the other half of it was also to entertain others and bring them joy from watching her dance.

Covering her mouth, a giggle slipped out as she raised an eyebrow at her. "But if you would like to get up on a stage and flail about with no inhibitions feel free. Though I'm not sure how an audience might react. But even still, there are dancers who are known for doing tribalesque type dances. Although those are also very choreographed as well."

Cho-reee-ooo.... Oh. At least, now Eisheth felt she's understanding the general idea. "Mei", she hugged the ghoul tightly. "For me every kind of your move, every performance of yours is entertaining. And it makes me happy. You don't have to do anything special for it", she smiled. Did she get it right this time?

Letting herself relax in Eisheth's arms she smiled to herself as she spoke. She was glad that it made her happy. It meant a lot to her. Mei greatly preferred when anything she did made those that she cared about happy. Eisheth, her friends, her family. Even making complete strangers happy filled her with a sense of pride. They were in gloomy days and any kind of happiness was better than no happiness at all.

She leaned her head against Eisheth's shoulder again. Dark eyes looking up at her with a small twinkle in them. "You make me happy, Eisheth..." The words just came tumbling out. If she hadn't meant to reveal them well it was a bit too late. Mei was caught up in the moment. Hopefully she wouldn't say something silly to ruin it this time.

For a very first moment in a long time Eisheth felt relaxed, - and enlightened, as if the dark clouds of uncertainty that occupied her mind were finally gone.

She was glad it's not that Mei depends on her, or requires her presence to sustain her life, that was what alchemist was most afraid of. At the same time, it wasn't vice versa which would even worse. Mei was functional enough without the horseman around, she could solve her problems and fight her battles without asking for help. They were with each other for a completely different purpose than making each other's life easier and more convenient: they were together to bring each other happiness and good emotions. The very thing Eisheth never actually paid enough attention to.

The alchemist smiled and grabbed her ghoulfriend pushing her closer; if the kerchief wasn't covering the lower part of her face, one could notice a satisfied expression of a little vaisel who just finished the most delicious meal ever.
