Nili looked at the baboon and then over to the other creatures. She attempted to count all that were gathered from where she was perched. "I see about seven from where I am but I don't know what they are doing. Perhaps one is having some kind of trouble. They seem to be interested most in the light blueish one." She explained as she now watched the creatures below a little closer trying to figure out what they were all doing.

She flinched, moving from her place, staring at the lion that addressed her. Why be so harsh on her? Blinking, she approached a bit closer, wondering what he would do next. Once she was a close distance to have a better view of the lioness, she sat down, once again, just watching. All she knew was that she seemed not to be invited, but still felt something strange in the beast they were all gathering around.
Now she would understand why her parents told her that hyenas and lions did not get along.

She was almost immediately frightened by the swarm that seemed to be upon her in what felt like an instant. She cowered for a moment; afraid of these strangers... were they going to hurt her? She blinked her pale eyes and her posture showed that of nervousness; but she didn't hide what was going on. "I-I lost someone.. a male.. He is pale with marks on him... He is hurt... a-a-a snake bit him... he is sick..." She looked around, not sure how to even describe where she thought he may have went.
"I-uh... left him for a moment to find water... and when I came back he was gone..." She added. "I-I-I'm Ean menar... I don't know his name... we were just traveling together... I hadn't though to a-ask names..." She looked terribly faint.

The youngster stood near to the older male that hailed from her same pride, her green eyes flitting curiously from creature to creature. She'd never seen a baboon before... She was very glad Kal was there! Even if she didn't know him well, just in passing, at least he was big and strong and trustworthy. She was sure she could rely on him. It was when the lioness relayed her story that the youngster's brow knitted and her lips turned to a frown. Bitten by a snake? This wasn't good.
The child pawed towards the distraught lioness and offered her a small, hopeful smile.
"It's okay, ma'am. Imma esplorer, I'll help you find him!"

Rauri snorted dismissively at the baboon and the bird. "Not used to having this much noise around this part of the jungle, of course we'd investigate." She moved down closer to the ground in time to catch the stranger explaining herself. As concerned as the lioness was about the other stranger, Rauri was concerned at how faint she seemed. She joined the couple members of the pride already on the ground and slowly approached. "It'll be alright. I'm Kakarauri, a Huntress for the pride whose lands you've stumbled upon. Please, sit down before you fall down. Do you require anything for your own comfort?"
Madzimoyo was surprised to see the youngster among the curious. He joined those on the ground while Rauri replied to the other watchers. He drew close to the youngster. "An explorer are you Zalios'akys?" he asked glad to remember the name among the many cubs he'd watched over as a Babysitter. "We'll see what your parents think when we get you home. But I suppose it'll be ok for you to help search in the company of one of the adults here." He then turned his mind to the problem at hand. "Water... There's so many small pools and streams running through here..." Zimo said thoughtfully. He thought back trying to remember if this was a place he'd passed through when he'd first come to the pride's lands.

Koe listened intently to the bird as she relayed information from the tree. "Say, thanks eh! You know can't see too far from down here." The primate chuckled. He gazed up at her until the lioness suddenly spoke. She seemed sick herself, but she spoke of a lion that had a snake bite. The baboon shook his head and shuddered; his youngest sister had died from a snake bite. It happened frighteningly often out here in the savannah, and ground nor tree was safe!
His bright intelligent eyes watched the lioness as she explained about her missing friend, and perked his ears at the dark-furred lioness as she flung a comment about noise in his direction. Not worth getting into any sort of bickering, Koe was interested to find this lioness' companion.
Only because everyone else was rushing to. Koe liked a little competition, and he decided he would see if he could be the first to find this male.

Quote: Another small creature had noticed the gathering of lions and other assorted creatures. The genet moved with ease in the tree-tops and couldn't resist listening in on the conversation below. The lioness that seemed to be at the center of attention talked in a weird manner and the brown genet tilted her head this way and that to try to understand what she was saying. She decided that the lioness might be a bit touched in the head, and that was why the rest of the lions fussed over her. And she had lost someone, and there were bitey snakes.
"Snakes are tasty," she said to no one in particular, "Have to bite the head before they bite you!"
She noticed the bird calling to the monkey below. Too far away to reach, unfortunately. Luckily she wasn't all that hungry. Sure, she could eat if the opportunity presented itself...
"Birds are tasty too..."

Biskiti was well, lost. He had been travelling for a few days now, out of his den, and didn't know where he had gone wrong. The world was large and awfully scary. For the little hare with an irrational fear of just about everything, it wasn't too pleasant to be flung far from home. He hopped to and fro frantically, until he came across a large group of creatures, including a lion. His small heart nearly stopped beating. So, this was how it ended, eh. "I-I'm sorry." Biskiti began to notice that the group seemed rather distressed themselves. Curiousity grew within him. "W-whats going on?" He directed this to the whole group.

Well this was swiftly becoming a circus of creatures! But that mattered less than the lost companion with the snake bite. Those were serious, and caused him no small amount of alarm about where this had happened. If that kind of snake was still roaming nearby, they all could be in danger. "What did the snake look like?" he asked. Let the others find the male, if they could, but as a guard he was more concerned with the threat. "Was it nearby that he got bitten?" What good would it do to find the male if whoever did so also fell victim to the poison?

Haki fell out of a bush, if that was possible. Nevertheless he stumbled at least... Which had him land on his face. The poor blue jackal hadn't a clue where he was, he was just, on the move. Travelling from pride to pride, all the while just trying to get back to his den. After he stood up, and shook whatever dirt he had managed to get on his fur off, he cocked his head to where he heard a group of ... Well, animals of all kinds, fussing over something. He wandered over to them and poked his head through, yet another bush. He remained silent, but nevertheless curious. What were they so excitied about? Were they trying to track something? The last time Haki had joined a large group of animals was to hunt down a monster... He shivered at the memory. That had almost ended in him being squished. This... Whatever this group was doing, couldn't have been nearly as dangerous as that he decided. So maybe he'd stick around a little longer...

Quote: For lack of anything better to do, Viverri tried to sneak closer to the scrumptious bird in the next tree over. It was probably a futile quest, but perhaps it would be distracted enough by everything happening around it to overlook the hungry genet scampering closer through the treetops. Well, it could happen! She just had to be very sneaky and hope that the bird wouldn't turn its head before she had a chance to pounce.
The lions below talked about snakes, but she couldn't see any. Stupid lions tempting her with talk about tasty snakes.

The mandrill had wandered quite the way away from his horde, but was happily enjoying his find - a tree with very very tasty fruit. Soon enough noise from other creatures wandering about reached his ears. At first he paid no mind to it and continued with his snack, but soon the animals were making quite a racked. There seemed to be a lot of them.
Finally, his curiosity got the better of him and he swung from one tree to the next, trying to find the source of all the noise. Eventually he did and at first he stayed among the higher branches of one of the surrounding trees and examined the diverse group. He noticed one of the lions seemed to be in distress. He guessed the others were trying to help her.
He saw a baboon in one of the other trees and with a few swift jumps, he landed on the branch next to his fellow primate. "What is happening here? Why is she so upset?"

The hyena's concentration was broken when something moved within the bush that grew next to her. Jerking her head back and forth, she saw the jackal. Ugh. A creature witty and quick. "Its better to stay here with me, than to join them." she barked to him, not even caring that he was a stranger. All she knew was that she did not like the uninvited look of the lion that called her before.

"Oh... Alright." His throat was dry, begging for water. After all, he hadn't drunk anything in days it seemed like. As soon as he found his way out of this jungle, Haki would find water first. Perferably water that didn't lead to quick sand either... He shook his head, that adventure was long but done and over with. He need not worry over Elephants and Mained Wolves any longer. "What's going on?" He asked, attempting to get a grasp on the current situation.

She blinked, catching a sign of curiousness in him. So he did not know what was going on either? "Umm... I'm not so sure." she replied, wondering where to start. "All I know is that all those beasts there are gathered around a pretty looking lioness." She cocked her head to the side. "So I'm guessing you are travelling around too?" Or maybe he knew the lands around her, she thought.
Getting up, she noticed that she was about the same height as the jackal, just that her neckbone made her look a little larger in size. She no longer kept for eye on the lions, but now on this creature in front of her.
