Blood is thicker. Name: Jua Koti Name Meaning: "Sun coat" in swahili Rank: Hunter
Personality: Calling him a relaxed grump is one way to sum up his personalty. Or if you call him brutally honest, that works just as good. Either way, he isn't the most friendly person on the planet. He doesn't try to be mean, it's just, he doesn't see the point in lying unless lives are at stake. When he gets angry, he turns vicious. A monster rather than a lion filled with the sheer desire to taste blood.
Forgetting all his negitive points, he can still be a happy fellow at times. Though those times are rare; but he also will protect anyone he considers a good person, even if they are mean to him.
Prompt Response: It was raining. As per the norm in the pride, all the terrain was drenched in water. Dirt becoming mud, mud glomping together to form small sinkholes, and if you didn't watch your step; big ones too. He hated it. His ancestors deeply loved the feeling of mud gushing between your toes, sticking to the bottem of your paws, and feeling the patter of water drizzle on your head. Sliping through your already soaked mane and stretching down to your bones, causing them to ache.
He didn't like it though.
It felt like tiny particals of fire raging through his body rather than the cool, refreshing rainfall it actually was. Each droplet causing him to twitch and cringe rather than bask in the glory of having a free, nature made bath. All because of that good for nothing curse, the one that had driven his family farther away from the pride until their was nothing more than himself left to show that his family roots still existed.
He grunted between the twitches in his face. The intruder that had taken it upon himself to attack Jua while he was wandering around the forest; desperately searching for cover from the rainfall, was ready to flee. After all, Jua was no one to be messed with. When he was angry, he was an unstoppable beast of pure rage. No guilt. Which is why anyone who bothered to attack the brute soon found it was the biggest mistake they'd ever make. Most of the pride knew this however, and kept their distance from the lion.
He growled at the intruder again. This time the dog managed to stand, slowly backing up until the canine disapeared from Jua's view. 'And don't come back' He thought while sitting his normally light colored behind back on the liquid ground. Licking his left front paw while sitting in the blood, he began to think about the curse laid upon his family.
He had heard tales of it as a child, nothing overly exicting had happen that caused the curse to be placed into affect. It was more like, it had simple came to be. That while other lions were more... Immune in a word, to rainfall, for whatever reason a few a generations ago, his family upset a god. Jua could never remember what domain the god repersented or what it's name was, on the account that he had absolutely no interest in the curse at that time. Now he kind of wished he had asked about it more often...
Something took off from the trees that were acting as a net for all the water. As a result a large puddle came plomting down and hit Jua on the head, creeping down his spine and face slipping eventually onto the ground. He roared in pain while mid-stand. Then finally got to his feet and began clumsly running. His front paw still hurt from being bit by that stupid dog, and now his bones ached excessively.
'Stupid curse.' He growled in his head as he ran towards his den, which of course, was located farther away from most of the others. Yes, the main affect was this curse was extreme sensitivty to water. Most of his family couldn't handle the pain of it crawling across their skin, even though most of their flesh was protected by fur. It was simple too much to handle, and as a result, most of his family died. Some fled, hopeful to find a place with a considerable amount of less rainfall. Those that fled included Jua's parents...
Finally reaching his little burrow of a den, the brightly coloured lion pretty much flew inside, laying on the ground, panting and gasping for air. When he got stick of air drying himself, he stood, shaking himself free of that liquid that covered his body. If the splatter of rainfall seeped into his den, Jua hissed at it before reversing back more into his shelter. He begun to think if he too, should leave this drenched area. It was sure to take his life eventually, his den was not always going to be in running distance after all...
He shook his head. The people here might have disliked him, hated him even. The rain might weaken his body everytime he stepped into it, but he would stay. Had to stay. Prove that he wasn't weak like the rest of his family.
And so Jua waited paitently in his den. For the rain to let up for a short amount of time when he could go out and find something to eat. After all, he couldn't do that if he was wet!

We're here too! Which sibling are you trying for? Name: Perak Salji Name Meaning: "Silver Snow" in Malay Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: She is sweet, giving, happy-go-lucky, and caring. She finds that each and every lion and lioness, if its a cub, adolescent, juvenile or adult, she treats them like her siblings. She doesn't like anyone to be sad and cry or be mad and yell. She doesn't like to interrupt anything because she isn't a rule-breaker. Plot Ideas: That she would have a vision of a baby familiar running towards her crying and after a few days, it came to reality while she was spending the day walking, a baby familiar ran up to her crying that looked just like her.
Prompt Response: As she sat down under a tree, she looked at the light through the leaves seep through and heard birds chirp. It rained last night and drops of water fell lightly on her nose. She knew she was probably a seer but she didn't know how to conjure a vision.
Her eyes started to get heavy, like she wanted to sleep and all the sounds were starting to drain away as she starred at the light coming through the trees. She laid on her left side and looked at the light as everything went dark as she closed her eyes. Once a light came through, her eyes weren't open though and nobody was around. What was this.... Wait, this is a vision!
She stood there in her vision, starring forward. Suddenly, she saw a black figure running towards her and when it jumped in front of her and roared, she gasp and screamed until her eyes snapped open and she stood on her paws shaking. Taking slow steps out of the shade, she looked at the sky, wondering what it meant.

We're here too!
Which sibling are you trying for? Blue Girl Name: Neha Name Meaning: Dual meaning of 'rain' and ''love'. (Hindi) Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: Neha is a rather shy lioness, apt to retire rather than deal with talking too much to creatures she doesn't know, and hesitant to add her voice to spirited discussions, even among friends and family. When she does speak, it is with a soft-spoken voice that can best be heard in one-on-one conversations. Despite her retiring nature, Neha is very caring, and offers a shoulder to lean on for anyone who is truly upset. As a cub, she was something of a 'little mother' to her siblings, being the first to run to the side of anyone who fell and encourage him or her with a soft word and a nuzzle of comfort.
This gentle nature becomes most evident in her favorite duty as an Aqualyte - gardening. Neha is happiest when she is tending to the plants around the spring, who she can nurture and care for. After all, they will listen to her quiet concerns and do nothing to frighten her. It helps that she's rather good at tending them, resulting in plants that are clearly well-cared for, that are both beautiful and soothing.
It might be wondered why Neha is so frightened of interaction, and the answer lies in the nature of her visions. Beginning just prior to her adolescence, Neha sees visions at times when she looks into another's eyes. These visions are brief, and appear as though she is seeing them through water, slightly removed from the situation and somewhat distorted in visual nature. The type of visions she has vary, from simply seeing what that lion's next meal will be, to Seeing them caught in an accident of some sort. The greater visions are far rarer, however, and because of the nature of her Sight, Neha will avoid eye contact and retreat from others in order to avoid being overwhelmed by them.
Plot Ideas: You mean I have to talk? To people? - For some reason, Neha is the Aqualyte chosen to deliver a message from the Waterspeaker rather than one more suited to the task. Naturally, this prospect terrifies she. Perhaps it could be the first step in trying to get the shy female to open up a little more, or just ill luck. Regardless, she is likely to worry herself sick over the prospect and beg her sister to be left to the plants... but it really would be better for her to learn how to deliver such messages, as it is a part of her duties, and thus I foresee this incident leading into a series of events wherein she tries to overcome her shyness and timidity in order to do her job.
Can't anyone make it stop? - Seeing is a gift to those that are descended of the gods, but for those that are hit particularly hard with this gift, it can seem more like a curse. At times, Neha wishes that she could stop having visions, or at least tone them down a little. As time passes, the frequency of her visions increases to the point where she has one literally every time her gaze locks with another's, often leaving her disoriented afterward. Learning how to live with and cope with this somewhat debilitating type of Seeing is a long-term plot for Neha, perhaps learning methods to cope with interaction such as keeping her eyes shut, or tying something over them. It would leave her functionally blind, but able to operate without fear of a vision overtaking her. Whatever she ends up doing, the journey will be a difficult one, only made easier by the support of her family and friends.
Prompt Response: 2
Uru. They had chosen Uru to be the next waterspeaker, not her. Neha relaxed on the soft grass, allowing her mind to wander toward the recent events that had changed the dynamics between the littermates forever. The lioness supposed that she should have felt disappointment, or jealousy that she hadn't been chosen for a position of such prestige and responsibility... but in truth, all that she felt was relief. She wasn't going to be the one that the pride looked to, who had all of the responsibility of a leader. Shivering all over, in one great wave that shook her from head to tailtip, Neha shook her head and sighed.
That had been a near miss, indeed! The blue lioness was much happier in the background, looking after and caring for her family without having to stand in the spotlight, or bear the weight of the entire pride on her shoulders. Maybe she would get to tend the plants for her sister? That would be wonderful! Thinking of her pretty, pale sister brought a smile to Neha's face. Uru would make a good Waterspeaker, she was sure. With her wisdom, the pride would prosper - far more than it would have had she been so unfortunate as to be chosen!
Which... really brought home the fact that she and her siblings had only been born so that there would be a Waterspeaker. A Waterspeaker and a few spares. That didn't really sit right with Neha, and it never had. What if none of them had been suited for the role? To be sure, they were all Seers, but what good had Sight done her? It certainly hadn't imbued her with any wisdom or ability to guide. If none of her siblings had been suitable, would their parents have had more until they could find the perfect cub?
It all seemed so - so artificial to Neha. Wasn't it supposed to be about love, and fondness, and.... ahem.... attraction of a more visceral nature? Well. She supposed that it didn't matter too much in the end. She loved her siblings, regardless of who was and who wasn't the Waterspeaker, and if she ever took a mate (and she wasn't sure if she would, right now; it seemed so much easier to just not bother with the terrifying prospect of trying to converse with someone often enough to become that close), she would be sure to do so for love, not any kind of an arrangement.
Satisfied with the result of her musings, Neha got to her feet and stretched, shaking herself to clear away any clinging bits of dirt or grass. Perhaps one of her siblings could use her help with something. With that thought in mind, she trotted off, leaving her negative thoughts behind. There were far more important things to do than to lose herself to her darker feelings, after all!

We're here too! Which sibling are you trying for? White Girl Name: Chungu'ajali Name Meaning: Chungu(Bitter) Ajali(Destiny) Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: Bitter, Two-faced, untruthful, misunderstood, power-complex Plot Ideas: -Questions unanswered Ajali goes to seek out answers as to why she wasn't chosen to become the Waterspeaker, why she isn't loved enough. She seeks out her father, God of Patience, or Goddess of Rain. If God of Patience, she'll probably have a breakdown. If Goddess of Rain, she'll have a slight animosity though hold the Goddess with great respect and inquire why she wasn't chosen. -"It should of been me!" Conformation from Ajali towards Uru.
Prompt Response: Prompt 2
It simply isn't fair. She glowered at the reflection glaring back at her, paw itching to smack the water, to distort her image. But she wouldn't... she didn't dare to offend Uhamisho. So, instead, she straightened up briskly and began the short walk back to the pride.
The announcement had been made, just hours before. Uru, soft and sweet Uru, was to be made the Waterspeaker, to lead Mvauiko to prosperity, while she, Ajali, had to choose between becoming her servant or hunting. To be a servant, or Aqualyte they called it, was a great honor, apparently. And so, power starved as she was, she accepted the honorable position of Aqualyte.
Ajali didn't hate her sister; she loved her like any sister would. However, she had always been jealous of her, wanting to do better than her. And the recent announcement had only deepened the resentment for the attention towards her sister.
She wandered back to the celebration, each step bringing a bit of her mouth curling up. When she spotted her sister, she grinned widely. "Congratulations, Uru. You'll be a great Waterspeaker!" She let out a giggle and dashed forward, nudging her head against the side of Uru's. "I'll be there for you every step of the way!"
Inside, envy burned ferociously.

We're here too! Which sibling are you trying for? Grey Boy Name: Faraji Name Meaning: Comfort Rank: Hunter
Personality: Faraji is normally very cold. Brother of the Waterspeaker, he is well respected among the other hunters and huntresses. However, his personality is stoic and merciless.
When around his family, his disposition is kinder, softer, and supportive. He's also playful and teasing with his siblings and only laughs around them. Plot Ideas: Afternoon Stroll Faraji is the one who usually escorts Uru on her strolls outdoors. Being the leader of the pride, nothing is ever safe. However, during one particular stroll, they encounter a dangerous predator. Somehow throughout this encounter, they ended up stuck somewhere or lost. Differentiating those to trust Faraji doesn't trust any of the Aqualyte besides his siblings and so, doesn't dare to pass on any messages to them. Maybe, however, one of the Aqualyte finally worms their way past his cold exterior? This could be a very close, life-long friend roleplay or mate roleplay? "Misty Visions" Faraji, not being too strong in seeing visions and always seeing them surrounded in a thick, dense, wet mist, finally sees one that and is rather clear and is puzzled by it. He decides to ask Uru's advice on it, feeling slightly embarrassed and nervous about it.
Prompt Response: Prompt 2
His grin overcame his cold disposition, surprising many of those who have grown to know them. Uru was announced as Waterseeker. However, after the roars of congratulations died down just slightly, a worrisome look quickly overtook the expression of pride. This, again, surprised those who have grown to know them. Ears twitching with worried, he took a hesitant step forward, paused and looked around, before padding closer to his sister.
Jealousy was furthest from his mind; he wasn't a strong seer like his sibling. He couldn't see anything clear, whenever he did get them. And so, it was completely understandable he wouldn't be chosen to lead the pride.
He was stopped, however, when the Goddess of Rain approached him. Quickly, the worried look melted into a blank stare, the life in his eye blinking out. He respected the Goddess. But he didn't trust her like family.
"Will you choose to be around her constantly, to be her help when she is in need of it, to choose to assist her in whatever way you can? Or do you choose to be a hunter, to provide for her and her people, but keep her at a distance?" The question presented to him confused him. Of course he would want to be near her constantly. However, he paused. To be a hunter would be to learn to survive, to learn to fight. His gaze grew a bit of life; a kindled fire.
"I choose to protect her from danger and assure her pride succeeds from the shadows. I choose to be a hunter."

I'm new here... Name: Haji'kitwana Name Meaning: Pilgrim(Haji) Pledge to live(Kitwana) Rank: Aqaulyte
History: A nameless wandered into the pride with a bewildered and lost expression on his face, nearly starved and torn up from a previous fight. He had no idea who he was and where he had came from. In fact, all he recalls is the absolute need and a small voice in the back of his head urging him to come this way.
When he stumbled upon the pride, only three days after Uru's ascendant to Waterspeaker, the nameless lion was immediately brought to the healers(maybe Uru?) and though all the external wounds were healed, his memory wasn't returned. And so, he was given the names Haji and Kitwana and soon after, it was combined to Haji'kitwana.
(I left lack of history so that more plot could be revealed when it progresses. I might custom the lion that nearly killed him so that more plot could happen way later on.) Personality: Although he remembers nothing of the past, he's really easy going with a playful, teasing smile. He's not afraid to inform someone what his gut feelings say and he's quick to accept others as friends. However, once his memory comes back, he may become just slightly irritable with the skeletons in his closet.
Plot Ideas: "I never got to thank you..." Where he meets up with Uru for accepting him in the pride. Finding faith Due to his lack of past, he doesn't know who the Aeons are of the pride. This would probably be multi-roleplayed plot where he ask different individuals their belief, opinions, and experience with the Aeons. Seeking the Seer He goes to a seer in hopes to find out about his past. How will you help? After full recovery, he chooses between Aqualyte and Hunter.

It should have been me. Name: Penda Name Meaning: Wish Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: Penda is superstitious, that is what hinges the very core of her being together. A believer in karma, she would never do unto another that which she would not wish on herself. She has had a pleasant enough life, but her lack of progression and motive has left her feeling a little unsecure, and she often fantasizes and wishes for more, whilst being grateful for the life she already has. This leads sometimes to the assumption that she lives out dreams she cannot achieve through others, through guiding them and befriending them, but this is not a selfish act. Incredibly eager, she seeks to help others in order to make her life feel more fulfilled. She may have been disappointed by not being chosen as the new waterspeaker, but she is not resentful. Penda is a very mothering lioness, having been childless, and sometimes feels a little restless. Everything has a purpose to her, a distinct design, and she doesn’t think she’s found hers yet. A high worshipper of the gods, she hopes and believes that life has something in store for her, more extraordinary than the mundane, eventually.
Prompt Response: Pendas pale blue eyes had widened when Uru had told her of her vision. It was the first encounter she’d had personally with the new waterspeaker, and she was intriuged. A small part of her felt a pang of jealously, of failure, but she pushed it aside. The gods would deal with her fate, she knew it. As of now, what was important was to guide the younger generation, and to ensure the safety of the pride.
A young male, roaming the borders, was what Uru had recalled. This made Penda worry, her brow furrowed. What was he sent for? What was his purpose? Did he mean to cause harm? She supposed he could simply be lost, or maybe even injured. The slender lioness had sighed to herself, she would wish such a fate on no-one. She had been lucky to avoid injury and disease in her time.
Uru was, she had found, a pleasant lioness, obviously gifted, and held the pride as a priority. That was what they needed. She was young, and she was able. It was up to Penda to keep her from harm, and to assist her. Then she could be a part of it, in a way. She had offered herself up for guidance, even if just to listen to her worries. An urge filled her paws to protect and to mother most of those she met. Penda saw it as a gift, as a way of paying the pride and the gods back for their kindness of her health. To some, she supposed it could become unbearable.
A thought floated into her mind, and snagged itself there for a moment. If she did ever bear children, tiny fragile lives, would she be able to let them go? Could she give them enough freedom? It was a question that would find the answer if it happened, there was no predictability, and what would happen, would happen. She had retreated into the den gracefully, still thinking of the young females concerned face, and excitement pooling in the bottom of her stomach.

Hey look, I'm a blank slate! Name: Themisula Oleandra Name Meaning: Derived from Greek meaning solid yet peaceful in the pursuit of justice. Rank: Aqualyte
History: Themisula was the newly appointed adviser to an elderly queen who fell sick as a result of the annual winter solstice festivities (while she had gotten pregnant), with no heir appointed the pride fell into dismay and chaos There were three choices: slave, murder or deserter. With cubs on the way the brown lioness panicked, the guards that had been assigned to protect her were the first to turn on her. Luckily her mate, Koroku, was among them and subsequently gave his life so they could escape with a statement of true love. In the rogue lands while her cubs were just newborn, she was attacked by ravenous hyenas and her cubs were stolen from her before she could even name them. Why had the gods cast a blind eye towards her?
A serious depression whirled about in her heart for quite some time, taking sanctuary in random prides while she recovered physically and emotionally. Raised studious, Themisula found a healing aid in sharing her knowledge from her past life and absorbing different pride's cultures and rituals. Slowly, she began to smile again the more she was surrounded by others. During her travels, she had a serious problem, she was horrid at hunting and even worse at fishing so she more relied on vegetation and tended to stay within earshot of water sources. But she was getting tired...
Personality: Themis' soul has been rapidly aged and her morals tested more times than she would care to admit, but she has risen above it all with a tough pelt, an always open heart and open eyes (even though they may have heavy bags beneath them). But she's also cold towards the unjust, and has no room in her heart for tertiary towards her or in her presence. She never looses her class, and always maintains calm in the face of chaos, for it is the only way to survive it. (Almost never, around cubs she's a big ball of kitten goo.) Every creature has its' ying and yang, Themis tries to remain unbias, so she may see every angle of a situation before she makes her judgements (but she does make them). No matter the situation, Themisula Olivandra will try to learn a lesson so that she may either pass it on or utilize it herself in the future. If you do not look for the gods' wisdom, you will never find it.
Prompt: Why did you join the pride? What motivation was there? Prompt response: Themisula has reached a point in her travels where she believes she can switch from traveling and absorbing, to settling in and passing on information. Finally, her traveling can come to an end. Helping and being of service in an intellectual fashion has become her purpose in life, because by helping others in becoming better than they imagined elated her heart. The stream that lead to the pride's sacred spring is what drew her to the location, once her eyes settled upon the garden she knew she was home. Sharing information with the Waterspeaker would bring her much honor and humility, for it is a combination of the destiny she was born for and the purpose she has grown into in a small way. To join would bring her great peace and joy, finally laying new ground over the scars of her past.

We're here too! Which sibling are you trying for? White Girl Name: Fryst'Atta Name Meaning: Frozen Flower Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: The God of Patience as her father has a large print in her seer powers, Fryst sees any lion that she touches in a moment of great composure. On the surface this doesn't seem so bad, but the visions are accompanied by the inner monologue of what the subject would rather be saying (which isn't always so pretty). She didn't like sharing her visions, she felt they were very personal moments in time she had just invaded on, but she would do anything for family. Sometimes the vision comes into fruition while other times it could have been when they were a cub or some other random moment of stressed patience. Fortunately, she quickly found the water acted as a buffer (a grace from her forefathers), as long as she was in the water she could play and not be afraid of a random short snapshot of shame to ruin her first impression. To others, the withdrawal from typical societally accepted contact accompanied with a look of fear made her seem ice-cold, not shy and scared. Instead of getting upset or frustrated, the crushed lioness retreats to the garden, unintended mystery lingering behind her. The garden offered peace and serenity, free from unnecessary explanations of her embarrassment, and where there's no need to touch any others. It was also the closest she could get to the water at all times. Atta was much more than that, and when it rained she bloomed. With a strong immunity system she could play in the rain for hours, she could say hello to family properly and allow her jovial wondrous inner cub come out. But she didn't push the limits of her shyness in the presence of strangers. Love never really entered her realm of possibility, she had all the love she needed for and from her own family. But not for a lack of love to give... More importantly than her fear of dry physical contact, tending to the garden was important for the pride with the laws on hunting and fishing. Atta was doing a service to herself by helping the pride, she felt proud and in the circle of life while utilizing her natural talents.
Plot Ideas: + Trickery?: Uru can bring a male to Atta which she suspects mischievousness from and asks her to steal a vision of the lion, hoping it reveals a secret for her to base a decision off of (reaffirm a suspicion or dismiss it). . + Playing in the rain: Once there's a little of cubs born to the pride and they're old enough to annoy their parents, Atta takes them out for the most epic rain playdate. But it stops raining and the little ones continue to play! Atta panics. Does she get stuck with a vision? Does she come up with something clever? Does it start raining again? Does nothing happen? Tune in to find out.. + Unusual emotions (Down for either gender, just using he most likely possibility) The most extreme emotions Atta had ever experienced has came from her visions up until this point. A rogue wonders onto the pride lands and finds the white lioness tending to a particularly favorite water lily patch of hers in the water and gets her all riled up. He gets her goat and makes her feel a splurge of both negative and positive emotions, causing her to get flustered and actually lash out verbally at one point. Then she breaks out crying out of what seemed like no where to her at the time and takes off. What was wrong with her?! + You..: Finds out the rouge has been made a member of the pride ... "Do NOT call me Lilly Pad! Dx " + Plot with God of Memories? When they touch, she instead receives visions of her own happiness?
Prompt Response: Fryst'Atta always felt more comfortable on rainy days than she did on the sunny ones necessary to grow her crops. Even though she'd never had a vision before, while other lions would debate on wether or not to leave their den, Atta wakes up early just to go outside like a kid on Christmas. But this day was the opposite, Fryst had to relieve older aqualyte that tended to the last Waterspeaker from the grove, Jipei had kept the grove for as many seasons as could be asked of her. The older lioness wasn't the most kind, but she was wise enough to know not to spout her venomous slurs to Uru's frosty, misunderstood sister on the subject.
On the subject of tending to the grove properly however, she had free reign. It couldn't be very easy to hand over the life you love to a younger version of themselves. If Atta was anything at all, she was empathetic to the core and the intentions of making this as smooth of a transition as she could. At this point she had lost faith that being a seer was guaranteed hereditary.
Once she arrived at the grove and found the older lioness and offered her a complimentary smile which was not returned. Instead she got the formal acknowledgement greeting of a bow followed by forehead to forehead tap. As soon as the two touched, her vision began to draw back into a narrow tunnel and her pupils enlarged like a shark that just smelled blood.
The replacement realm was loud and came at her with a speed that jolted her heart rate higher than it had ever been, so fast that it felt like it was overlapping to a point where she had some faucet of cognitive ability. Was she getting yelled at? She heard another lioness screaming but muffled before she saw the one she had just touched, the same but younger. Jipei was getting a tongue lashing from the previous Waterspeaker about the grove and obviously thought it was undeserving. Although she was holding her tongue, which was commendable, she thought the most awful things about the lioness she served and lived under for the majority of her life? As suddenly as the vision came, it had left and Fryst nodded back into true reality and found herself in a different spot listening to Jipei carry on about tending to things she knew, confused as ever. It was as if her body had been on auto-poilet, with very large eyes to take it all in.
Now petrified, she didn't want to offend the older lioness by asking about the incident. Standing frozen, she had stopped paying attention to Atta long enough for her to turn around and bump into the younger lioness, causing her blue eyes to enlarge once again. This time, Atta saw Jipei and obviously watching someone approach with a blank expression and Fryst was welcomed by a wave of colorful language she hadn't heard before. The nice way to phrase the synopsis was Jipei was relieved she didn't have to work for the new inexperienced Waterspeaker, had no hope for the pride and would rather be talking up the new hotstuff rogues than talking to her.
"Can you hear me at all?" Jipei barked. Fryst nodded as her pupils came back down to size.
"Yes ma'am." Fryst replied short, but not curt. This was her power? Hopefully it would have some sort of compelling bonus or restrictions she would discover. She needed to discover. This couldn't be it, could it? Loud noises, and commendable
Fryst began to panic under a cool, calm expression. "I think we're done. I have this all under control. Thank you for all you've done, feel free to visit any time. Thanks, I gotta go, bye."
Could this be it?

Hey look, I'm a blank slate! Name: Myriel Name Meaning: Variation of of Gaelic name meaning "Bright as the sea" Rank: Aqualyte
History: There is little known to others about the lioness' history. She feels little need in talking of it to others, but if one were to know, Myriel was born the second youngest of four daughters to a high-ranking general in a now disbanded pride. Myriel and her sisters were encouraged to be ambitious for themselves, a quality as anyone who has met Myriel would know, she simply does not possess. Myriel sought to make herself useful to the lesser-ranked members of the pride, as charity was considered a valued quality, and suited Myriel's temperament well. A rebellion of the lower ranks against the monarch-ruled pride, combined with a bad drought season, brought the long-standing pride to an end. Some stayed to try and rebuild, but Myriel sought constancy and a quiet life where she could be of real use to those who need it. Personality: Myriel is a lioness of few words, but possessive of a quiet intelligence and a gentle nature. Patient, diligent, and meek, she could easily be forgotten in a crowd. She seems to have no ambition and takes delight in leading a quiet, constant life in service to another. She is loyal to a fault, when that loyalty is earned and lives by a code of morals and duty above all else.
Prompt: Why did you join the pride? What motivation was there? Prompt response: Myriel had wandered, waiting and hoping for an answer. She had left disorder and disunion, all that had remained of her former life. All she sought was order and a place where she could do. Yet she was not accustomed to life on her own, life in the wilderness. The drought that had ravaged her own pride had also affected the surrounding area. Everywhere there was a lack of vegetation, a lack of life. Water brought life. She had become certain of it. She began to pray for guidance. She prayed to be led somewhere where there was water, there was life.
She stumbled across the Mvauiko before too long. Was it chance? Or was it divine guidance? Nothing could sway Myriel from believing the latter. Here they revered she who brought water, the goddess of rain. Here she could do good. So here she would try.

We're here too!
Which sibling are you trying for? White Girl Name: Majuli - "Juli" Name Meaning: "Still water" Rank: Huntress
Personality: Juli was a sweet cub, always gifting others with pebbles and half-crushed flowers (and eventually, equally half-smushed mice). She was raised to be grateful for what she had, especially in light of their pride's history. And she is - she loves the land, and her friends, and the bounty they hunt from every day. She knows that not all pridelands are so lucky.
But she cannot always hide her bitterness - she wasn't chosen as Waterspeaker, like her sister Uru. She doesn't blame the others - the pride is wise, and her sister was the best choice. But she does feel like there is something inherently wrong with her. She has a hard time accepting compliments, unable to convince herself that they are sincere. Juli tries hard at everything she does, attempting to convince herself that she has worth. But every failure just confirms her inadequacies in her own mind, and her successes can't seem to overcome those negative thoughts.
She has visions, being the child of a god, but she cannot control when or where (and in fact, nothing really seems to trigger them at all). Most of the time they are singularly unhelpful, but occasionally they do help her with hunting. The often come like an echo before the actual event, so they aren't great for forewarning.
Plot Ideas: I'd like her to suffer through continued failures (wow that sounds mean..). They don't have to be big, but things like hunting, or having a cub she's watching run off/get lost/etc., or making someone angry. Then I'd like her to have a really dark moment (a "the pride is better off without me" kind of moment) that is stopped by the presence of another, who will eventually become very important to her (or who perhaps already is). Afterwards, she could have a time where she learns to rebuild her confidence in herself, and discovers something that she can really shine at. In essence have her discover, accept, and love her part in the pride.
I'd also be happy with a plot along the lines of her "developing" her seer abilities in conjunction with her hunting (as a sub-part of the Building Confidence plot). She'll become a better huntress, sought out to help.
As a side note, while she's still in the suffering-through-failures plot, she would be available for any sort of plot that might cause harm to the pride itself. Such as accidentally aiding some malignant force/lion, etc.
Prompt Response:
The smile felt forced, and it stretched her jaws into soreness.
Her sister was the Waterspeaker. Majuli's stomach was sloshing somewhere near her feet. Her sister. Not her. Not Majuli. The pale lioness felt lightheaded, but the smile stayed plastered like some slap dash tattoo across her confused face.
And the worst part? 'Juli knew, she knew that was the right choice. Uru was wise, and sweet, and wonderful. Uru would lead this pride with all of those virtues, and more. And none of Juli's vices (there were so many!). But it was hard to accept that something you'd been raised to, something you'd strained to reach your whole childhood was suddenly gone. Juli watched as Uru, sweet Uru, accepted the title with a smile that was somehow both modest and strong. It was the right choice, to pick Uru. She told herself, knowing it was true. But truth didn't make it any easier to bear.
Now... now what?
She was a branch, once part of some great solid tree, now ripped free and tossed in a violent storm. Her soul spun in the tempest, but couldn't find a purchase.
What will I be? Other pride members were around them now, congratulating Uru, celebrating a new pridal stability. Juli could only nod and grin. I've hunted, and lost the prey more often than not. I cannot tend the garden - my paws are clumsy at best. Her heart joined her stomach in a growing pile of innards at her feet. She knew that her brother and sisters were part of a pact - they were the result of need, not of love. And now that need was fulfilled, by only one of them.
She looked at her siblings, their faces composed, graciously congratulating their sister on her new life. And here she was, overcome with disappointment, her world crumbling beneath her feet. Why couldn't she be more like them? More like Uru?
Get a grip. Juli thought, disgusted. Do what you must, if nothing else.
And right now, what she must do was support her sister. She must show Uru that she loved her, that she believed in her. Juli would find a place in the pride. She would lead a good life, a useful life, even knowing that something was wrong with her. Maybe... maybe she could get better. Become a better lioness. She wouldn't disappoint her sister, or her pride.
Taking a deep breath, 'Juli padded up to Uru and rubbed her sister affectionately. "Congratulations, Uru! I knew the pride would make the best choice!"
The smile was still forced, but her soul had settled behind it.

It should have been me.
Name: Majimke Name Meaning: loosely translates as 'wife of the water' (swahili) Rank: Aqualyte
Personality: An experienced and stable lioness, this old girl has seen and done much in her life. Nothing truly surprises her any more and she has long ago lost the impertinence of youth. Once she had been a wild you thing, believing nothing and no one could bring her down, but time and experience corrected that flawed view and though it took a while, she finally did manage to age gracefully. This does not mean that she is passive though, and will stand up for herself or her pride when the need arises, usually with the younger generation when they get ideas of grandeur into their cloud-filled heads. Not really a natural born teacher, she has nevertheless learned how to handle most lions and most situations through trial and error, and is quite comfortable in her semi-retirement now. Wise as her years dictate, she enjoys imparting information and knowledge to those that seek her out, but will not go out of her way to instruct those that do not wish to listen.
Once she was passed over as the next waterspeaker, Majimke took the rank of Aqualyte in order to put her long years of service to the pride and her extensive knowledge of the lands and of visions to good use. having been close to the previous Waterskeaker, she has a great deal of experience with visions, even if she has never experienced her own.
Prompt Response: Majimke smiled as she spotted Uru walking towards her. She had been laying in her favorite patch of thick green sweetgrass that grew under the shade of a tree even older than her offering shelter when ever the rains fell too heavily. It was a place that had heard all kinds of secrets over the seasons and Majimke was certain it would learn many more before she passed from this world. However such musing was for another day and so she pulled herself up to sit and wait for her visitor to arrive. No longer as agile or graceful as she had once been, she was still just as respectful and bowed her head as Uru stepped under the shade of the old tree. After exchanging pleasantries the elder lioness didn't beat around the proverbial bush, but asked, politely, what had upset the younger lioness, for Uru had indeed looked distressed when she had arrived. After learning of the cause she started to inquirer about the vision, gently leading Uru through each stage, never once did she suggest a meaning, but she guided the younger female as she slowly puzzled her way through hat she had seen. It was not her place to interpret what Uru saw during her dreamings, but to help Uru see the trees among the forest, those important images, sighs or sounds that would help unravel the vision's mystery.
Once Uru had left, her mind more settled and her steps onc more assured, Majimke settled back down in her patch of grass. Maybe this roaming rogue would become her mate? The idea amused her and she chuckled softly to herself. Though she had always desired a family of her own, she had never considered herself any kind of prize for a male and rather doubted she would find someone suitable at this stage of her life cycle, but that didn't stop her from secretly wishing for a silver knight to come sweep her off her paws.
"Oh Majimke.. I think you are finally loosing what little mind you have left." Chuckling softly at her own foolishness, she settled down for a late afternoon doze. Growing old always amused her, for she seemed to require far less sleep than younger lions but needed it a lot more often. .. Well, that was the prize of growing old... Smiling, she slipped of to sleep, her dreams filed with the rogue her Waterspeaker had envisioned for her.
