Personality: Relatively laid-back and easygoing, Pyra is a difficult lioness to upset. She is generally levelheaded, taking a middle of the road approach when possible. This is not to say she's a pushover; she isn't easily impressed, and is tenacious when it comes to her own personal desires and goals. She just tends to do her best to let things wash over her. When one finally does invoke her anger, however, they may find she's a fierce opponent - her calm exterior hides a terrible determination. She is protective of her loved ones and sees no shame in using every advantage to get the upper hand.

There was never a dull moment; being in a whopping litter of seven. Pyra and her brothers and sisters were constantly surrounded by family; a warm, bright setting for a young cub to grow up in. They had had their set of tragedies, sure, and sometimes the sheer number of relatives coming and going could be overwhelming - but there was a rightness to it that the little cub couldn't comprehend but nonetheless appreciated. She often encountered others in the pride whose mothers and fathers couldn't be around; raised by cub-sitters with no other adults to mind them. She did not envy their freedom. For while all the attention their big family awarded could sometimes be smothering, there was just something about the playful nuzzling and chats and visits that conveyed what no amount of independence could replace.

Future Plot ideas: I think she could really get herself into trouble by investigating 'sensitive' issues, maybe involving the Safi split or the Nergui/Hongshan conflict - she is nosy and would probably blunder her way into something potentially dangerous sort of belligerently.

Personality: Lyse is confident in her own abilities, and has a strict moral code. This often gets her in trouble, as she thinks her own sense of right and wrong should apply to everyone. She's headstrong and opinionated, trying to get into everyone else's business, often jumping the gun and playing the 'lone ranger'. She means well however, and tries to be fair and just in her dealings with others. The tales of deaths at the hands of the Nergui scared her, and she's afraid that without guiding principles, their own pride could become as seemingly lawless and violent. Later, she will view her role as a warden as a license to police other members, often being gruff and perhaps overbearing. Sort of like a Cold-War America mentality; except instead of communists of course she is searching for Nergui insurgents. She strongly believes in the new Firekin ways and her own family.

Personality: This girl is good at keeping secrets and loves to collect them; eavesdropping and word-of-mouth are her most common ways of gathering information. She questions everything she hears to ensure it's the truth. Brasa will do what she needs to get what she wants. If that means conning it out of someone, she's not above doing just that. (Discretely, mind you, and within reason. She won't do anything crazy like betrayals to her allies.) She'll hang on dad's every word during training, believing that using her smarts and charms to her advantage are an excellent strategy. The more information you know, the stronger you can be.

Future Plot ideas:
- Conflict: I’d want to find someone who just knows how to push her buttons. Tarsa’s more of a keep-it-to-herself kind of girl, and she keeps everything under wraps because when things get serious, she doesn’t want the world to know what she’s got or just how capable she is. But I want somebody who will just keep provoking her until it finally pushes her over the edge and she gets into a huge fight. This will probably be the first time she realizes how much fire she has lurking under the surface.
- A little “buddy” who takes it upon him/herself to follow Tarsa around. She probably wouldn’t realize how much she cares until she doesn’t have it anymore, so it’d be fun to do something where she either permanently or temporarily loses said little buddy

Personality: She’s a Firekin at heart, though she doesn’t make it evident at first glance. Usually reserved in large crowds, Tarsa saves her words for when they really matter, rewarding patience with the occasional curt but poignant comment. She is in the business of rationality, often puzzling through entire trains of thought before ever bothering to verbalize any of them, and is often several steps ahead of the group’s discussion by the time she deigns the situation worthy of her contribution.
Everything Tarsa does, she does for herself. From proving a point to proving her fitness, she competes with herself and nobody else, finding motivation in personal records and self-recognition of her own abilities. She finds external competition more pointless than useful and operates under the assumption that nobody else could fight for victory against her better than herself and that nobody would have the competence to keep up with her. She compensates for these assumptions by doing the little things with her own two hands, being more thorough than most and taking the reins where others might have let them fall slack, working constantly to meet the standards she has set for herself.
Her actions reflect an inherent distance from other creatures that has affected her since birth. More of a loner type than anything else, she can both survive in the company of others and live without it, rarely feeling lost or unwanted if excluded from a group. She loves, and she does so ardently, but can have difficulty expressing it in words. It takes someone who knows her exceptionally well to recognize her subtle displays of affection, which often manifest themselves in her actions, but she will not hesitate to defend someone dear to her heart.
Beneath all this smolders a quiet fury that one might notice upon careful observation. The way Tarsa carries herself and flinches almost unnoticeably whenever someone touches her without invitation, the way she seems to judge the world, the way her fiery eyes burn when she is incited all point to the Firekin rage that drives her to be all she can be in service of her pride. She is slow to anger but quick with her claws and merciless in the way she fights, attacks, kills, and when she has a target in sight, she does not let up.

Personality: Loud. Always making loud noises and sounds and whining when it isn't how she wants it to be (as a cub that is). As she gets older she becomes known for being very intimidating when it comes to her voice. She has no problem with vocalizing anything and everything and will gladly give you a GOOD YELLING AT. Otherwise, quick to anger and quick to offend.

Future Plot ideas: Chama is like a poised, unattainable princess so I’d like to have friends and family pull her out of her comfort zone. Because she tends to wander, I’d like her to get lost once at juve or adolescent stage and experience being truly desperately thirsty which would make her decide her future role in the pride (either her parents or her familiar would be the ones find her). I want to find her an avian familiar to help her with her task who will become her closest and most important friend.
Daddy, or Mama's girl? Neither. Chama’s way of coping with not being able to spend that much alone time with her parents is to become less dependent of them and others in general. While she won’t shy away from social events or contact with other lions, she will be more comfortable and happy on her own or with her family. She will be deeply grateful for her mother’s support in her pursuit of her desired role and she will enjoy her father’s lessons and the his stories of all the things he’s seen in the outside world.
Personality: Chama is like a pretty statue. She is often very still and thoughtful, quietly watching the world around her and the interactions between members of the pride. She is curious, a frequent silent spectator of the training grounds and can often be found sitting very straight in a high rock formation, watching the dunes. Chama likes to spend time alone but she’ll be friendly and polite to those who approach her especially if they’re sensitive about her needing her space. She can handle and deal with quiet and stern personalities a lot better than lions who are aggressive or overly friendly. She is often more open and friendly to rogues than a deeply conservative Firekin would be, not just because her father was once a rogue but because she will ask them to tell her all about the sights they’ve seen during their landscapes.

Future Plot ideas: I Spy…. – General spy stuff. I’d love for her to even go on a mission or two outside of the pride, whether it’s spying on a huria or checking out another pride. Stuff of epic proportions, cause I love long-term plottage.
Mr. and Mrs. Spy – I would adore her “falling” for another spy. She wouldn’t be capable of ever truly loving him, but she would still care about him nonetheless. I don’t know how they would find out that they were both spies aside from being sent on a spying mission together. Regardless, they’d be awesome and totally work together on crap.
Rumour Has It – A case where she has to investigate one of her close allies or (more likely) a family member. Luan, despite her ingrained suspicion of everyone around her, does care and look out for her family. It would be interesting for me to work out how she would react towards having to treat someone she likes as a possible criminal. Regardless of whether they were or not, Luan would have to make choices between her loyalty to her pride and loyalty to her family.
Junior Agent – Eventually, I think it would be nice to have Luan be one of the lions giving the new Watchers their “special training sessions for stealth and lethality.”
Daddy, or Mama's girl? Most definitely a daddy’s girl. While she cares for her mother, it was her father who gave her the knowledge and training to do her job successfully. For that, she deeply respects him.
Personality: Luan is somewhat of a mystery. She has a reputation for flirting with/seducing both her patients and other members of the pride. She’s rather quiet, and often lets her patients do the talking while she responds with coy smiles and sweet looks. When she does talk, Luan speaks with a soft and breathy voice, one that make you lean in to fully understand her. Though she is often seen out and about with other pride members, it doesn’t seem like she has too many close friends. Luan doesn’t share much about herself beyond her name, but she always wants to hear more about your life.
The mask she puts on in public is well crafted. Underneath the smiles, the batting eyelashes, the smoldering leers, and soft voice is a cold, trained killer. Luan keeps her emotions in check and doesn’t let anyone see sides of her she doesn’t want shown. She does her job with fierce efficiency that she prides herself on, and will do anything to get the information she needs for a mission. Having been trained as a Medic in addition to her training as a Watcher, Luan not only knows how kill with claws and teeth, but also with herbs and concoctions. She’s well versed in anatomy and knows the weak spots of the body. Luan was well-trained by both her father and her other mentors in the art of seduction. She's attractive, she knows it, and she knows how to use that in order to get what she wants.
Having been groomed as a Watcher from a young age, Luan lacks the ability to grow attached to others. Her whole life has been based around suspicion and paranoia, preventing her from viewing others as more than potential threats. Aside from her father, whom she sees as her first teacher and mentor, Luan rarely makes attachments beyond potential allies or useful contacts. Though she doesn’t see much of an issue with this philosophy, having put the well-being of the pride above her own personal happiness, Luan has been known to have brief moments of weakness where she wishes for something a little more fulfilling than her current role.

Meaning: Chinese: Dancing Flame

Personality: Wu Yan has the drive and determination of the firekin mixed in with a fierce sense of curiosity. Fueled by stories of her father’s past life, Wu Yan has almost been interested about the lands outside of the firekin borders. She wants to know everything about the world and is passionate about using this knowledge to help the pride. While she loves learning about other prides and groups, sometimes other lifestyles can confuse her. Prides not centered around the values of strength and skill often come to her as wrong. She is easily offended by males who think females are the lesser gender.
Her temper can get the best of her sometimes. Wu Yan can become easily frustrated when she doesn’t get the information she wants, and will usually turn to violence and nasty words. Despite what her father tried to teach her sisters, Wu Yan found the idea of using her femininity to get what she wanted disgusting and not like the firekin way. Very much a tomboy, she doesn’t like being around girls who bat their eyelashes at every handsome male walking their way. In fact, she really doesn’t like most girls in general. Considering herself “one of the guys,” Wu Yan hangs mostly around boys and is notorious for leaving her male companions in the friend zone.

Response Wu Yan cocked her head to the side, golden eyes unblinking with wonderment. There were other places besides the firekin? Other prides? Her flame-coloured mouth hung open slightly as she listened to her father speak.
It was rare these days to ever see both of her parents together. Mom was gone a lot. Sometimes neither Mom or Papa were there, leaving her and the rest of the litter under the care of their older siblings. It was lonely sometimes. The rest of her family were all well and good, but they couldn’t replace Mom or Papa. And even when her parents did find the time to take care of the litter, Wu Yan had so many siblings that sometimes she felt left out. Wu Yan remembered when Adena had asked why they were always gone. Jyoti, pure white in stark contrast with most of the family and babysitter for that day, had thrown around the word “war.”
It was a word Wu Yan had heard a lot these days. The adult lions were always throwing it around, talking about how it was coming soon. She sometimes heard the word “Nergui” mixed in with “war.” It had seemed as if the two words were related, and so Wu Yan, her interest piqued, had decided to ask her father just what these two words really meant.
The answer was shocking. The cub, wide-eyed and slack-jawed, listened intently as her father began talking about the world outside of the firekin. It was mind blowing to think that there were places other than the hot desert. It was boggling to try and comprehend the idea of other prides. But her father had to be telling them the truth. After all, her parents would never lie. And if that was the case, if her father really had been born outside the firekin in the “rogue lands,” then that meant there was an entire world out there that Wu Yan hadn’t explored yet.
In the back of her mind, Wu Yan distantly realized that her father was talking about the “war” word now, and her ears caught things like “bad,” “violence,” and “hurt.” But she wasn’t paying attention to that now. Her thoughts were fixated on the idea that there were other places out there. Wu Yan wanted to go out and find them. She wanted to run across the smooth, sandy dunes and explore each and every pride that was out there. Maybe one day, she would the greatest explorer the firekin had ever known! She would find the prides that lived in these “plains” and “forests,” maybe even ones that no one had ever seen before! Wu Yan imagined prides living up in the clouds, running through the sky, and lions hunting underneath the ground. She would bet that there were even prides that lived under the water. She would find them all, conquer them all, and then her parents, proud of what their daughter had done, wouldn’t go away anymore, and stay with forever.

Favorite Color: Green (it's a good sign- it usually vegetation which means water and/or food attracted to the green that grows near the water)
Future Plot ideas: I'd love if she became an apprentice of a soldier with the intent to join the army, but during some kind of conflict (I assume it'll be with the Nergui) something happens that hurts her badly enough that she would no longer be fit for duty (be it something that maims a leg and leaves her with a limp, blinds her in one eye, what have you. nothing grotesque but definitely disabling). This will lead her to the spies of the pride. Since she won't be completely useless, she'll do her job of protecting and enforcing the pride and its rules on the home front. Once she feels well-settled into her position she will probably want a family to raise so as to keep the pride young and strong, as well as raise them to be soldiers and live through them.

Personality: Tunu earned her name early on. It's like her mother's fiery nature from her youth incarnate. She's not caught on to Dad's lessons about using her femininity and likely never will. She just doesn't quite understand it and prefers less subtle tactics.
With such a large family, she struggles to stick out and make an impact, and guarantee herself some of her parents' attention (it's a private worry, she doesn't go around telling people her concerns). At least her other siblings are older or darker (save for Jyoti) she thinks her white coat makes her more noticeable. Or dead. She doesn't really blend in, easily, though. She challenges others, whether it is to a competition like a race, or if it is to better themselves (she expects this of herself, too). She's loud, too. Not one to ever keep her opinion to herself. Speaking in front of the council will come easily to her.
She wants to join the army to impress her parents, but more importantly to serve her pride. Also, she just doesn't find herself cut out for something like cub-sitting or water-seeking. She's a spitfire, after all.

Meaning: Bright White Fire

Favorite Color: "Oh man, You're gonna make me Choose?" The little lioness chews her lip, eyes ever lit with a smile. "I know, Yellow, like the sun! No-no-no, Blue, Like the Sky--Or Green like the grass!" The cub breaks into a fit of giggles, before resting a paw on her nose as if to quiet herself. "Well I don't know!" She takes another moment to think, tapping her nose with her paw. White was just to bright, and black was just too dark. She loved firey colors, but so did everyone! They were firekin after all! Pink was just girly, and purple.. Well purple was nice, but not her favorite. The little cub gave a shrug. Who cared if everyone else liked it, it really was her favorite. "Orange! Orange is my favorite color!"
Future Plot ideas: I would love for her to eventually get invovled in the entire meta between the Firekin and the Nergui. Most will likely be suprised to find out that her easy going, happy nature does not mean soft. Once she finds out that they've spilled firekin blood, her family's blood at that, she will likely decide then and there exactly how she will treat them. As an adult, she would not proactively seek out fights with the Nergui, but if she catches scent or sound of one, even if she is at the edge of the pride's borders, she will hunt it down, and remove the threat to her family. I'd really like to see how the war plays on her fun loving attitude, likely turning her much more solemn and serious. If it did escalate to all out war, and she were involved, it would likely take her a long time to get back to herself. She'd rationalize any killing she had done as protecting her lands and her family, but it would still work on her. She would know that she had no other choice, and try to keep her mind off of it, but it would still get to her a bit.

Personality: She may not be as large as her siblings, but this girl makes up for it with her speed and a keen, clever wit. She is no where near as serious as her other siblings and family, rather being a fun-loving type of girl. Much of the time, it might well seem like she simply doesn't grasp the seriousness of some situations, when in all reality she does. She may be as bright and warm as the sunshine, but her Daddy taught her well, and she's anything but stupid. She knows that she is smaller than most firekin, and female at that, so setting others up to underestimate her is a common card she plays. When that fails, this girlie knows how to charm a boy or two into a false sense of security. This attitude can have it's drawbacks, however. She tends to avoid confrontation more than most firekin, and at times it can be rather hard to rile her out of her fun-loving and into a temper, and in fact, most things don't bother the girl, but there are a few select subjects you simply do not make light of (do NOT make fun of her size), and do not make fun of (just don't do it man), or you'll learn the hard way exactly how much you've underestimated this little lioness. She may not be large, but she is a swift and accurate little whirlwind, and will do anything to make her family proud. She cares deeply for all of her family, often breaking out into fits of giggles when she embarasses her brother with hugs and affection. She is respectfully reserved around her Mother and Father, sitting up straight, and being the best daughter she can be, likely the spoiled baby of the lot. At her core, she is logical and observant, only getting into a tangle when nesscicary or her temper has been pushed too hard, however, if she sees you as a threat to her family, she will not hesitate. This girl might be fun loving, but when she decides to act, she does so whole heartedly and without mercy.

Future Plot ideas:
Training - Second-best is not good enough. Whether she rises in rank or remains a Soldier, she will ensure she reaches, and remains at, the top of her game. This will be a growing theme through her early life, but remain a main thread of her story after that.
Revenge - Make the Nergui pay for the brother she never got to know. This will come into play after she reaches Soldier rank.
All Work, No Play - A mate would have to find his way around that intense focus on her current goals. No time frame on this, as finding the right lion could take a long time.

Personality:
Su's fire is not that sort that constantly blazes, scorching indiscriminately. Her fire is one that smolders, lurking under the surface, shining out through those golden eyes that seem to pierce beneath the surface with a searing touch. Her voice is quiet, and rarely raised, her words chosen and placed with meticulous care. She is intensely focused, and fiercely competitive...while she will not rage and curse at a loss, she will quietly fume and train twice as hard for days (this is usually difficult to distinguish from normal training, however). A threat to family is one of the few things that can crack this composure--but more often than not, the angrier she gets...the quieter. A deadly calm is something to be feared, with Su.
In 'play'--which usually has to be related to or framed as some kind of training or competition to catch her interest--and in battle she focuses on speed and precision, darting in and dancing out like a flickering flame. She would be of average size for a Firekin (see: still a bit bigger than the average rogue), but lean of build.
