Senga chuckled, landing lightly on one of the branches and allowing his weapon to dissipate from his hands. "I don't believe in disadvantages." He remarked dryly, ruffling his wings slightly and tossing the pelt off of his shoulders and to the wooden structure below. It was warm and it kept the brunt of some damage from catching him, but he was faster without it.

Grunting at the chain sickle around his leg, Senga pumped his wings in retaliation, catching and yanking the chain for a moment before leaping further into the branches once he was released. He'd heard of Famine clansmen using chains, but this was the first time he'd dealt with them. Senga smiled, ruffling his wings a second time.

How fun.

Senga did have a point. Kiwi released his weapon and dove after the horseman, fists pommeling into the branches where Senga stood before he latched onto a nearby bough, pulling himself upright once more.

There. They were even again. He smiled with battle-thrill, awaiting the executioner's move.

Senga laughed at Kiwi's reaction, leaping away from the other even though he suffered a few blows. It was fun, not to worry about the voices in his head or the thought of blood on his hands. Landing on another branch, he raised a brow at Kiwi, his lips curling into an almost playful smile.

Perhaps with this horseman, he could just have a bit of fun.

Without much care, he tipped backwards and fell off the branch he had been perching on, landing on one below and hurling his dagger at Kiwi. It was quite a distance, but he hadn't had any target practice in awhile, after all.

Kiwi made to dodge the blade, wincing as it caught him across the shoulder. "Nice shot," he remarked, dropping down to give Senga a friendly punch back.

But the wavering bough only sent him careening out, latching onto it to steady himself from falling ... so very very far below.

Senga laughed Kiwi's display of actions, perching lightly on the branch he was in. "What prowess." He teased in amusement, wings ruffling as they stretched and curled in between the light that filtered down between the openings in the canopy.

Leaping down onto the same branch as Kiwi, Senga stepped around him, balancing on the balls of his feet.

"Not as easy as it looks to navigate up here, huh?"

Kiwi wavered on the limb as it slowly balanced itself out. "No it isn't," he remarked, with a sudden smile. "But-" He pressed down on the limb once, just enough that it sank down before vaulting off of it-

And straight onto Senga, grappling him from the tree limb, a a grin wide on his face as he blocked punches and knocked elbows with the colt.

Senga was about to respond when Kiwi literally barreled into him. Surprised, the horseman let out a squawk and felt the wind knocked out of him. Grunting painfully, Senga ricocheted back and tipped over, falling backwards off of the branch to one of the lower ones without a care in the world.

Until the pain caught up with him.

Owowow.

Grunting, the boy let his body relax before he launched back up towards Kiwi, vaulting onto the branch and lunging at him with renewed vigor. This battle wasn't over yet!

Kiwi hit the treetop terrace hard, breath forced from his lungs, and for a long moment simply lay there. His body burned when he finally shifted, breathing in fresh air as he propped himself back up on hands and knees.

"N-nice move ..." he gasped shakily, taking the moment to catch his breath.

Senga smiled, landing above Kiwi and glancing down at the boy. "You're not bad yourself." His wings fluttered before folding, and he rubbed the nape of his neck, letting his weight slide for a moment to one hip.

He held out a hand to Kiwi, offering help. "I'm impressed."

Kiwi smiled as he accepted his hand, pulled slowly back to his feet. "I could say the same of you." And giving him a playful nudge Kiwi snuck a quick roundhouse to Senga's legs, aiming to knock him from his feet.

Senga grunted, leaping out of the way of the boy's roundhouse kick, even though he wasn't quite quick enough to avoid the entirety of the blow. "I'm out of practice." He responded musingly, his expression flickering in irritation for a moment before it faded and he shrugged. "But practice makes perfect, I suppose."

Kiwi smiled. "Isn't that the point??" And with that he sent Senga a loving punch to the torso.

Senga rolled his eyes and laughed, even though it was cut short by the punch. "It's what my elders always told me, at least." He smiled slightly at Kiwi, a crooked sort of expression. He was getting tired, but he had always been good about forgetting to show those sort of emotions off. "When they had me sitting still, that is to say."

Rebounding, the boy leapt and landed with his hands on the branch they perched on, twisting his body to light kick at Kiwi before vaulting below to a new perch.

"Sounds as though your elders were wise indeed," he remarked, grasping the limb just firmly enough to send a foot dancing below onto the horseman's head.

"Wise and boring." Senga remarked dryly, letting out a wolfish growl when the foot came close to his head. He tipped backwards to avoid it and fluffed his wings, catching his balance quickly and regaining his footing.

"Ouch." He muttered, shaking himself out.

With a hum, he leapt forward and grabbed Kiwi, and without preamble, pushed them both off of the branch, so that they were airborn and falling back towards the War balconies below.
