Devika paused in her search long enough to listen to the queen speak, she noted the look the other female gave her but it didn't bother her, except to maybe irritate her. That should be HER role, not trudging about looking for some stupid cubs... She whuffed out a short sharp distasteful breath. Whether the pride needed new blood or not, Devika wasn't pleased with how 'friendly' the Queen was being, why delude them.... except to perhaps use them as slaves. Now THAT was a tempting idea, she'd had slaves back at her old home, ensured they were protected from the other pride members but they were definitely not safe with HER.

Disgusted with the queen she turned her back on the adorned female and returned to the search... she wanted it over with already.

I'm happy to meet you, Mura," Galius offered, though he knew she wasn't speaking to him directly, "I don't really know what's going on, but it's nice not being the only stranger to this place." He chuckled lightly to himself, peering around some of the scenery to see if there was a cub hiding nearby.

Where would they hide? He couldn't even remember being a cub- it was unlikely he would be able to get into their heads and figure out their perfect hiding spots.

Bah.

"I hope you don't mind me using you for a bit of comfort," he added thoughtfully. Maybe that had been a bit rude before. He didn't want her to think he was trying to pull her down to his level or anything weird.

The striped black cub squeaked whenever Mura put her head into the bush. The cub jumped out of the bush, with a growl.

"Hey that's no fun! I wasn't done playing yet!" He snapped. "I bet my brother's will be harder to find."

Holy crap! There were cubs!

Galius watched as Mura found one of the little lions, surprised to see that he was happy and healthy, if not a little surprised at being found. Maybe that meant this wasn't some weird dinner party after all. A shame, but he had to think that he wouldn't REALLY be able to eat a child anyway. He'd only ever had adult lion meat, anyway. And male at that. Usually some punk who tried to pick a fight with him.

He always thought it was a shame to waste good meat, no matter where it came from. But it was the blood he enjoyed the most. When the lioness said the pride had some bite to it, he was pleased.

A boring, ordinary pride was not the place for him.

Sabia`Deimos looked on proudly at Mura, a new individual, and she was already making her mark, perhaps a new recruit? With how much the little rascals made her excited, perhaps a Nanny type of individual. Sabia held herself back about the ranks, the rogue could simply want to be a rogue.

"Congratulations Mura." She proclaimed, watching the little offspring with pride. Her eyes moved from the little black cub to watch Devika growl and go off on her own. The Queens eyes did not remain in that direction long before looking back to Mura and beckoning the cub to stare nearby and in plain sight. His turn was up.

"Well done, you have a knack with cubs."

“It's nice to meet you too!” Mura said with a grin. So far she was glad she investigated this area. Everyone seemed welcoming. She had half expected to be shewed off the land. She listened to Galius. “It's alright to take comfort in me. Sometimes us outsiders have to stick together in new places.” She also felt at ease knowing she wasn't the only person who wasn't familiar to this area.

Her attention went to the lioness. Atra Pestis, so that's where she was. She would have to remember that. The pride bites, she thought. She assumed that meant that not all the pride members were nice, she would be sure to keep her eyes and ears out to avoid anyone who seemed mean.

To her surprise she spotted a cub who jumped out of the bush she was looking in. She let out a giggle when he growled at her. “I'm sure there will be more opportunities for you to play hide n seek.”

She looked at the lioness. "Thank you!" she said happily.

She looked as hard as she could but she was failing so far in finding any cubs. She was starting to get hungry now and she was always more irritable when she was hungry "I swear little brats if you don't come out and show yourselves to me soon... i'm going to chew your ears off" she muttered loudly.
