Looks like Nazli would have needed to warm up a little bit more... Just keep dancing, but note that this roll will be different for those that failed to roll more than 5.
The moon had started to rise over the dancers, replacing some of the light lost when the sun disappeared. It wasn't quite a full moon, but it still looked big and bright. The performers took turns making the music, and they seemed to sweat just as much as the dancers. Some drummed out the beat on the logs while others used their voices to create a tune.
The dance area was taking a real beating under the many paws dancing on it, and since the ground was so dry a fair amount of dust and dirt was kicked up. It was getting harder to dance now, not only because of the billowing cloud of dust. They have all danced for a while now and it's natural to start feeling a bit tired. That water is looking very tempting right now...
exclaim Don't inhale the dust! Roll 1-100. If you failed your last roll: roll 10-90. To pass this roll without a penalty you'll need to beat the number 25.
1-25 Ack! You choke on the dust. 25-50: It tickles a bit in your throat, but you manage to keep going without stopping 50-90: No problems! 91-100: Wow, you're really good at this emotion_kirakira

Hila watched with glee as more and more creatures joined them. It was fun to dance in a group, he decided, and let loose just a bit more. Where the others were dancing kind of wild and crazy, his moves were more sly, slick, and fluid. He slid around the dance floor, eyeing the new dancers on the floor. He spotted a pretty cheetah, though, who was off to the side, and chuckled quietly. He was getting a bit winded so perhaps sliding over to chat with her while moving and grooving would be a good idea.
He wormed his way through the crowded floor, panting softly as he continued to dance while doing so. This sneaking stuff was hard work! On top of that, there seemed to be some dust clouds that were stamped up by the more vigorous dancers. He dodged those as well, though, finding no problems in avoiding the. His years in the rouge lands dodging paws and teeth had prepped him for a situation like this. Soon, though, he made it to where the cheetah stood, and he flashed her a charming smile as he continued to dance. "Good evening, my dear. It's a shame you're not out here with us...I'd enjoy sharing this dance with you."
Turning in a neat circle, he watched her from under his cowl, golden eyes shining in the moonlight enticingly. Hey, he couldn't help it! Flirting was in his blood and she was gorgeous.

Nia hardly noticed the male as he fluidly snuck up behind herself and the cheetah she was conversing with. Which gave her a bit of a shock when she heard his voice. She smiled warily at him, unsure of who he was talking to. But when she realized just where his eyes were looking, she laughed it off and continued to dance. Keeping an eye on the cheetah, in case she did decide to join them on the dance floor.
As she danced she could feel the onset of a parched throat, but she kept on dancing. If she had to stop for water soon, she would. But for now, this dancing thing was a little too much fun to miss out on. Jiggling her bottom to the beat, she began to tap her feet in rhythm to the sounds around her. By the time her throat began to tickle, she'd pretty much zoned out everyone around her.

Kifu smiles at the friendly voice and just nodded, a little too caught up in his dance moves to fully form a response. But that was okay, because Kifu knew he was totally rocking it. The air shifted quickly, and his new acquaintance was gone, leaving the dog back to his own devices. It suited him just fine.
He swished his tail, using the momentum to help him leaping twirl. Probably too complicated for such a small area, but he was letting the music carry him away. His landing was not exactly graceful, but he didn’t stumble either; mostly it just served to kick up more dirt. Kifu could smell it filling the air. He did not stop his dancing, but brought it down a notch, defaulting back to his basic step, step, rock, and step. It gave him a little room to catch his breath too. The night was still young, and there was quite a bit of dancing to still be had.

Heimdall moved slowly around the dance area, watching the dancers with a smile on his face. He noted the various dance moves, but he knew that this little game was not just about fancy moves, even if they gave bonus points. Endurance was very important, and those that knew to preserve their energy would do better in the later rounds. And speaking of that...
"Ester," he whispered, "You wouldn't happen to have some spare water for me?"
He could go to the stream real quick, but he didn't want to take his eyes off the dance. With all the dust flying around he needed to stay hydrated if he wanted to have any voice left at the end of the night. Hopefully the dancers would remember to drink too!

Nazli found herself nearly head over paws as she made her first appearance to the group, but was fortunate enough to catch herself and quietly begin to mingle and avoid talk about her clumsy ways. She was a natural clutz in somethings and it appeared this would be one of those things. She muttered a grumpy remark to herself, but couldn't be grumpy for long. In fact it was mere seconds until she was a wide grinned lioness again, footing working a little better this time for her.
Her smile beamed happily. She didn't know anyone, and didn't care. What more joy could one have than dancing and being surrounded by those who were doing no more than simply enjoying themselves, and perhaps competing, she felt a competitive air loom over the crowd. It was then that she looked to the sky and fully took in the beauty of the moon. It was getting late, she had barely noticed this, what she did begin to notice was the dust, it had begun to pick up rapidly. She sneered at it slightly, but was determined not to let it ruin her evening and so she kept on boogieing.
[Nazli is destined to be the worst Dancer to ever set paw in Sikukuu.. she should be chased from the prides lands lol]

Ester watched with laughing eyes as more and more joined in the dancing. This was wonderful! She chuckled as several dancers leapt or twirled in extravagant moves, clapping her paws in delight. But as she watched, she also stayed watchful for any indications of twisted ankles, injured paws, or the normal scrapes and bruises that such a large crowd of madly moving people were likely to generate. Thus far all seemed well, though she was keeping a close watch on one dark lioness who seemed to be having a challenging time of it. She might call that one aside in a few minutes, if she continued to have trouble. A nice rest might do her some good.
When Heim sidled up to her, she met him with a smile and a loving head-butt. His whispering as if he wasn't entitled to water like everyone else amused her. "Of c-c-c-course, my l-love," she replied, tugging a blue gourd forward. It was dyed nearly the same shade of blue as his coat, and had suns and moons carved on it, dyed a bright yellow. "This one is j-j-just f-f-or you!"
With that as a reminder, she stood and took a deep breath. "C-c-come g-get water w-when you c-can!" she shouted for everyone to hear over the music. "St-t-tay hyd-d-drated!" Once more, it was obvious that she was used to her own stutter and thought nothing of it. It was certainly easy enough to tell what she was saying, so it didn't hinder her job whatsoever.

Auri was having quite a good time. He always loved that such enthusiastic and fun dancing could make someone lose all sense of everything else except the dance that was happening at that moment. He wished a little he had brought someone from home, so they could see him in this element. While he always felt like sunlight shone his beauty the best, he was content to be glorified under the light of the moon here as well. So many had joined since he first started. He wondered if they were all there to watch him. Surely something on going like this shouldn't be much of a challenge for him. Nchi' members were known to have quiet long dance ceremonies every now and again. At least if he did mess up at all here, it wouldn't be nearly as shameful as it would have been at home.

Off to a rough start, Noe decided she wouldn't let that hold her back. The lioness took a moment to situate her paws before picking up new beats in the music. No point in doing what everyone was!
With a happy laugh, the lioness changed up her steps a bit, rocking every now and then, sliding her paws along the ground only to -ack- kick up more dust! Noelani quickly stopped but the damage was done. She certainly wasn't helping any of the other dancers with that nonsense.
Sheepishly, she continued to dance, but decided she wouldn't drag her paws anymore lest she give anyone else a coughing fit.

Dust, the one enemy that could end it all for anyone in this world. Keeping up with the dancing, his fur started matching the grass nearby that was shed with the moon's light, which made him shudder a bit. He didn't like hiding in the moonlight all that well, though he was a hunter, until the dust got on his fur. Without inhaling it at all, he kept moving with as much grace as he could give it, sweating slightly but he was used to it for he could go for hours without collapsing from exhaustion.

Yagoda had heard the rich beating of music, something that he had never heard of throughout his wandering. Could it be that he was near a pack or pride? Without much intention to enter the commotion, the wild dog casually walked past, that was, until he had noticed some having fun, but dust?
Taking some careful steps forth being pulled in by the dust, the wild dog soon found himself in the group of creatures, finding a hard time finding the right beat to the music. He was not much of a dancer after all...

Dauer sat and watched as the area of movement became a whirling mass of color. It was almost mesmerizing to watch, but it was the music that had most of her attention. The puppies were snuggled down between her forepaws, nearly asleep despite all the noise and the constant dancing of those competing. The blind wild dog cocked one ear towards the drums and voices. There were a few noise-makers in there too, shushing or rattling to the beat. She began to shift her weight back and forth just slightly, rocking her shoulders just enough to move them but not enough to disturb the sleeping babies.
Yes, that was a very nice beat indeed! Her tail began to wag behind her, while one ear began to twitch in time to the music. Dance she might not be able to do, but perhaps... perhaps she could add to the festivities in a different way? She swallowed, then tipped her head back towards the rising moon. Very softly at first, she added her voice to the music. It was a mellow alto, vibrating warmly on the lower notes while still able to soar sweetly to the higher notes. To her pleasure, her voice seemed to work well with the dance music. With more enthusiasm she joined in the music, eyes slitted in concentration as her tail waved behind her seated figure.
This... this was fun! It had been so very long since she'd enjoyed herself without any reservations. Something in her loosened that had remained wound tight since leaving her decimated pack. She relaxed and put her heart and soul into the singing, her puppies safe between her paws, a crowd of strangers surrounding her. Perhaps it was time to stop wandering, and stay in a place where she could safely be herself, a place she could raise her pups. The thought flickered through her head, but she set it aside for the time being. For now, just holding her pups close and singing with the others was enough. Later would be soon enough to examine the future.

Vappu laughed and waved to the lioness. She was content to watch, but it was really nice of her! When another of the dancers came her way she was getting flustered from all the attention, especially when she noticed that it was the handsome cheetah she secretly cheered on that had danced up to her. Oh, my!
"I... um..." she said, and smiled bashfully, "I didn't do that great last year. I forgot to drink, got dizzy and ended up with a sprained paw."
She giggled and then danced a little on the spot. Was it getting warmer again? It should really cool down now when the sun was down...
"Good luck!" she said, "Now you've danced a little with me."
She hoped he'd talk to her more later, after the dance... Oh, that dog over there was singing. How wonderful! Vappu had never seen her before, but she fit in perfectly with the music. Oh, how she loved the way these parties brought all kinds of creatures together to create new and wonderful harmonies. Especially handsome creatures like the cowled cheetah male...Paean wasn't particularly good with music or dancing. He enjoyed it, but he wasn't very good at it. Helping with the music was out of the question, since his clan had plenty of performers who were better at it. However, he had helped drag the hollow logs in place, and at the moment he'd been drafted to keep the gourds filled. He was returning from the stream with a freshly filled gourd.
"Here you go sis," he said after he had set it down next to the others, "any more empties?"
He was sweaty, but probably not as sweaty as the dancers...

Oh no! Nazli seems to have a coughing fit. Poor girl!
Clouds are starting to partially obscure the moon, but judging by what is still visible we're about half way between dusk and dawn. Those with keen ears might be able to hear a single thunder roll in the distance. It might be raining somewhere but it's still dry and dusty here. The wind has picked up a bit and it's sort of helping with the dust, but no one wants to stand downwind.
exclaim Stay hydrated! This time around you're making a choice. Do you dance over to the water for a drink or will you take your chances and keep dancing without even a tiny break? You need to roll more than 30 to pass this round. If you failed the last roll you don't get a choice, you'll need to visit Ester and take a drink. arrow Go for a drink. Roll 25-75 arrow Dance! Dance! Dance! Roll 1-100 1-30: It doesn't seem healthy to pant like that. You need to take a short break. emotion_sweatdrop 30-50: You're starting to feel tired. Come on, you can do it! 51-90: You're hopped up on adrenaline and music, no problems yet! 91-100: You shouldn't be able to make moves like that without breaking something. Wow! emotion_jawdrop

Nazli felt the dust rise and take her body by force, she heaved in a deep breath only to erupt into a fit of unfortunately unattractive coughing. She moved as gracefully as her pained body could to the side and snagged some water all before settling into a slump. She was wasting her night away with terrible uncontrollable things, but at least the music was still playing and she could be kept lively by the happiness radiating from the individuals doing clearly much better than she was. Her fate was not to be a dancer, she had learned that rather quickly.
Laughing at her own thoughts she simply gazed about and took a moment to relax.
