The wild dog’s ears snapped up at the sound of the little genet talking. Even from this distance, which actually was not much, he could make out what she was saying. Don’t eat…? Was she actually thinking this was a hunt for food? Kifu shook his head, that was silly, but he had never been in a situation where he was missing the bulk of his children. Poor thing was probably terrified. While the wild dog knew everyone here was friendly, the genet did not. Perhaps if they could simply find one of the babies, and return it safely to her, then she would understand that they meant no harm. Trying to calm her down would only serve to flash her more teeth and claws. It was going to be a long day at this rate, but they had to keep trying.

Hearing the distant voice of the mother genet, she continued moving on to find out if she can find yet another chance to get one and take it to its mother. She kept padding on the ground, pushing herself to go faster and help. Spotting another, she jumped at the chance to get a hold of it and calm it down, yet she missed once more and sighed. Getting on her paws, she had to help, she just had to, and continued to search the area.

The winds shifted a bit, as was expected with rain storms, and it brought something new to Kifu’s nose. His ears were useless in finding something small with this weather, but this new scent was promising. He knew better than to plant his nose in the mud again and kept it level with where he would normally have it. Genets were known for the climbing, so perhaps this would be to his advantage? He followed the scent to a tree; again, not a very large leap in logic was needed for that. It definitely smelled strongly of genets, but were they the right ones? Were they even still there? The wild dog never allowed himself to lament his lack of eyesight. He was born blind, but he had a pretty good feeling that now was probably a time where it would have been incredibly useful. It was a fleeting thought. His nose had served him well thus far in life. He tried to shut out the rain and hear if anything was moving around in the tree.

Continuing with her footing, she wasn't going to let go of her work so easily. Marching on, she continued to move with her greenish-brown nose sniffing the area the best she could trying to pick up the scent of at least one child. Close enough she was until one zipped right under her and made her fall on her back. With a cough, she huffed as she sat up and saw it was gone already and sighed. This was leading her nowhere but she wasn't going to give up so easily on trying to find a child, she just wished it wasn't so hard.

Noelani had pulled outof the dancer early, the dust was too much for her to handle and with so many people around, her head began to spin with visions she could not control. She stepped away, only to see everyone was on their way out. She had been so far in her head that she had been oblivious to the storm. That was when she heard the frantic cries for help. First the Schnee lose cubs in an avalanche, now this in her own home? Without hesitation, the lioness began to search. She would want help if they were her own.

As she slowed down, she could hear a very close creaking sound that was like wood about to fall until she looked up and saw a part of a tree on fire about to fall, and before she could do anything about it, it can down towards her. Not able to get away in time, it got closer and closer until she jumped up for it. Coming in contact with it as she got closer, she was able to shove it away in the air with her back paws and landed on the ground, it crashing and breaking apart and she sighed. Groaning as one of the babies scurried on her, she tried to grab it but didn't get up in time, so she huffed as it was gone after she finally got up and continued searching for them.

Noelani watched wide eyed as a tree cracked, crashing down near a green lioness. Her golden eyes flashed a hint of panic before she bolted towards the lioness in time to see one of the babies scurry away, lost yet again. The grey lioness sighed before looking over the green lioness for any serious injury.
"Are you alright?" she questioned, a bit out of breath. From a glance the lioness seemed to be okay and so Noelani's eyes began to scan the area around them, looking for any signs of the lost babies or any more branches that wanted to cause danger.
Her mind was swirling with activity and it was becoming difficult to tell reality from the visions in her mind. It was in frantic times like this she despised her gift.
((Edit: That was unexpected. 25 is a baby! <3 I would love to keep him.))
Before she could get an answer, the grey lioness felt a bump at her feet, only to see a scared little baby huddled over, eyes wide with fear. It seemed unable to move and a wave of relief washed over her.
"I'll be back to check on you, I just need to get this boy back first," she stated to the green lioness.
Gently, very gently, she picked up the boy by his scruff and began the trek back to his mother, or at least, where she had last seen her.
When she found the angry little genet, Noelani set the baby down with great care in front of his mother before taking a few steps back to show she was not trying to harm them. She was hesitant to speak lest she upset the mother any more and she waited for a reaction.

Continuing with her footing, the grey lioness was so fast she couldn't do anything and sighed as she kept moving. Every now and then, she could see a little child scurry right past her as she couldn't catch it, making her think her hunting skills have been getting rusty, or this freak storm has been messing her up. All in all, she kept moving about as she searched for at least one she can get her paws on.

Kallysto Congrats! Uncerts will be provided after the game is done. Ester was hugely relieved as someone came up, carrying one of the lost genet cubs. "Oh thank g-g-goodness!" she breathed. It was terribly difficult to convince the agitated mother that they were trying to help. She cupped one paw around the dark brown baby and scooted him towards his mama. "S-see? N-n-no eating, j-just helping," she tried to comfort the mother. "We'll f-find the rest, I p-promise!"
Of course, what the golden-coated lion had said to her to begin with was entirely true. She had to calm herself, or the mother and babies would never be calm either. She took a firm hold of herself, took several deep breaths, and thanks the gods for the sensible Auri. He'd been an excellent dancer, and it seemed he was good at helping everyone keep a cool head too. Feeling better, she decided to let the others search while she tried to soothe the mother and keep the rescued babies from running off again. "S-s-stay s-safe everyone!" she called to the searchers. She sure didn't like the look of this storm!

Hearing faintly that a child has been found, that meant only four left to track down and rescue. She continued her wide-ranged search, the scents becoming more clear as she tried to follow one or two of them, wishing to help the children find their way back to their mother. Finally finding one, it was no luck since it quickly slipped away from her and she sighed, trying to find another scent, though it was going to take a while.
((Awesome job, Kallysto!))

Hoku had been shooed back to the den with the rest of her sisters after the dance had concluded and the rain started. She resisted at first, but her mother was not to be toyed with when she demanded others listen to her. Grabbing her by the scruff, Hoku had no choice but be allowed to be carried away. Once in the den, she even allowed herself to be pulled into the sleeping pile. But sleep she could not. Not with the growing storm outside distracting her. Once the rest were asleep, she crawled out into the pouring rain. Hoku didn't mind getting wet. Enjoyed it, rather. It was a nice feeling after a very hot day. The lightning did nothing to frighten her. The madness, however, was another story.
As chaos erupted around her, Hoku darted further from the den into the rain, chasing after a pale figure in the distance.

The wild dog smiled at the sound of one rescued baby. Maybe that would help calm the mother down, maybe even get the number of children missing from her. His nose had picked up on many different scents when he sniffed near her, predominantly her and her one remaining baby. He could not sort out how many little ones there had been to start. And then another little cry was added to the rescue bunch. Kifu felt a bit like he was useless.
The dog turned back to the tree he was inspecting. He wasn't going to fidn anything just standing at the bottom. Kifu pulled his torso up, resting his front two paws on the tree truck. It definitely smelled like something was in the tree, he just was not certain if it was the genets he was looking for. Perhaps if he pushed up on his tippy toes he could get a better whiff? It was worth a try at least. He pushed up a little bit, but the ground was soft and slick, and the wild dog came crashing down. He was always going to remember this festival as the time he spent covered i mud at this rate.

Continuing on with her movement, she looked up to see yet the same predicament come above her and huffed as she jumped up and head-butted it away then landed on her paws and continued moving forward, a scent finally in her nostrils as she followed it. Inches from what she was tracking, she tried to catch it but failed yet again and started following her instincts as she padded forward nonchalantly.

Halia woke when Hoku left, getting up and following her quickly. She wasn't nearly as quiet as her sister, but she was fast. The lightning made the young cub jump slightly but she kept going, calling after her sister. "Hokuuu! Wait for me!"

This was becoming borderline embarrassing for the wild dog. He had just been named Dance Master. Dance Master's don't slip in the mud while searching for baby genets. They gracefully splash through it and find baby genets. Kifu pulled himself up onto his feet again. His front paws were definitely worse for the wear. The bark on the tree had scraped them while he was coming down, at least popping one of the healing blisters.
Kifu took a moment to pause, collect himself again. He was not normally the type to have a short fuse. Something about this was getting to him, or the minor amounts of sleep. He held is paw up to one of the water flows coming off the leaves from the rain, hoping to at least clean some of the mud out of his paws before taking to the search again, still leaving his ears open for any lost whines.
