The snake let out a large breath of air at the impact, tipping dangerously and transforming back to a much smaller target as much out of surprise as true desire to. Unfortunately it meant that the wing -thwap- he aimed for the horse-boil's head was significantly less effective, and a bit 'flaily'.

"Y' got the idea," Petro nodded as the other boil shifted back to his human form. "But y' gotta keep moving. 'Cuz'v 'm this close to y'," well, it was probably better to demonstrate. Pachua's attempt at retaliation was met with the monster horse reaching out to squeeze him.

The irony of squeezing a snake was -not- lost on the poor boil. So he decided to return the favor, he returned to his snake form and wrapped thick coils around the other boil in the grip normally more reserved for prey.

Petro grunted at the constriction, "Good shift," he managed to breath and tried to wriggle himself free. In the process his elbow grazed against the snake boil.

He shifted back in surprise, which removed any of the crushing effects he'd had as a snake, changing it to arms wrapped around the larger Boil, which was more or less a hung and a surprised. "Thank you."

Petro gave a snort of laughter at suddenly finding someone hanging from him. Pachua was jacking lucky he was dangling in front of the monster horse, had he been behind Petro... the monster horse didn't like the idea of going berserk on a fellow student. Especially one he barely knew.

"Y' wanna leggo?" he joked.

"Oh…ah…err…" Flustered Pachua.

He let go and dropped to the floor taking a few steps back and brushing a hand over his wings to ensure that his feathers were still smooth and strait.

"Sorry about that." He turned a bright red in the face.

The tikbalang just gave Pachua a grin, "Naw, 's fine. But next time y' got y'r arms 'round y'r opponent's neck, y' don't leggo." Maybe to some students, the sudden onrush of Petro's kicks could be considered a cheap shot but to the horse boil, it was a straight forward attack. Pachua was still facing him and had time enough to smooth down his feathers. It was a hard lesson to learn, never letting your guard down when you were in the middle of a spar, let alone a real fight.

"C'mon, Pachua, get y'r defenses up'r fight back!" the silver-haired boil hollered. "Y' got a FEAR attack, doncha? Use it!"

He looked uncertain for a moment but opted to risk it, he flaired his wings wide displaying the colors and patterns, a faint ‘tremble’ causing them to move in a almost hypnotic pattern.

Unfortunately for him he hadn’t done it quite as well as he might have hoped, while the fear use was successful, it didn’t exactly result in the ‘harder to hit me because look at the pretty feathers’ effect that it would optimally have.
