As Van came tumbling into him, or more so pounced, he fell back on escaped breath. "Offt!" Clutching the other on instinct as he hit the ground. It was true Tavi was small in natural form, and really wasn't much larger in his student form, he was tiny all around despite his huge ego.
The howling only gained laughter from the kitsune under him, Tavi found it hilarious to be the winner on bottom. But, Van was a sort of friend and the dramatic display was in the way of them having fun, so he did what he does best and pestered. First flexing fingers before they dug into Van's sides for ticklish spots if the other held any, "oh shuddup! Sore crybab'ah loser~" Snickering he stole a playful nuzzle to Van's cheek, trying to make him stop blubbering. But not letting him forget, "sides' lets go go go, you still have a fountain to jump in hehehe"

Van wasn't much bigger than Tavi in his student form, but that would likely change. His hound form was much larger, certainly. And he didn't want to bury his face in Tavi's tails, no. Not a lot. Maybe.
Van did, in fact, have a lot of ticklish spots, which set him to howling in something that was either laughter or pain but it wasn't entirely clear which it was. The nuzzle did, in fact, make him forget he had previously been sobbing, but he was far more preoccupied with trying to grab Tavi's wrists and pin him so that the tickling would stop. Van's chest was heaving. He stuck his purple tongue out at Tavi. "Fountains are not for me! You can jump in, I'll watch and take photos," Van said, regardless of whether or not he was successful in pinning the kitsune. |

Van let him go, his tails lashing. He was beaming pretty contentedly, and scratched his chin, as if he was thinking. "I don't remember agreeing to those rules," Van said.
Actually, it was true. He had very carefully, or more likely accidentally, avoided agreeing to Tavi's terms. It was up in the air as to whether or not they were binding, now, wasn't it? One demon to another demon. An unfulfilled contract. "Should be more careful to get an accord out of it, huh?" Van grinned, looking thoroughly pleased with himself. The kind of expression you'd want to drown him just to get it off his face.
"What's what?!" Van exclaimed, pulling his tongue out of his mouth with a pinched thumb and forefinger. "I don't see anything wrong?!?!" Van said, though it was kind of hard to make out actual words through van holding his tongue. His tongue changed colour as they were speaking, going from its natural purple to an alarmed orange.
Nope, it was working just fine! What was wrong with Tavi?? |

Unfortunately for Tavi, Van could literally care less about taunting. In fact, Van would have said that the fine print should be the Demon's best friend, had it occurred to him, but instead he was blissfully oblivious with a sound not unalike humming in his head. "Your ears are huge, but you're so deaf! That's not what I said at all!" Van replied, yelling, his tail lashing back and forth. He wrinkled his nose at Tavi, since the stuck-out-tongue wasn't having much of an effect.
Van relinquished his tongue, making smacking sounds as he rolled it around the inside of his mouth, getting used to it being inside again. "Yeahhh, it always does that-- it's not weird if it's ALWAYS LIKE THAT!!!!" Van protested. He barelled past Tavi and into the doors.
Literally into them.
