[HH 1 v 1] The cowering way (Xavier/Noemi)

"I do not know curses!" Noemi faltered in her prayer, "It is prayer for purity against demons. So you can not possess me and hurt my friends. You are the devils creatures!"

She slid Mel against Xavier again, slight cutting at him with the sharper end of the trident.

"My mami told me that if I met a demon, to cross myself 7 times-" Which she was doing now, "And pour salt on while offering the lord prayers. I...I don't have any salt so..." She settled for praying to god to help her rid the world of one demon.

Xavier let out a little whimper, because in spite of his desire to be terrifying and intimidating and impressive, he had never been able to possess someone, and was not even certain that he could or would even want to, because humans were just so very scary.

"I-I-I am not..." he said weakly, but then trailed off rather pathetically.

Xavier tried to disappear into the floor again, but when that didn't work, he merely gave a pathetic sort of whimper and batted at the trident, attempting to push it far far away.

Noemi would worry about this later, because it just made her really sad that the one who brought her gifts for years who her parents told her wasn't real but actually was and had...had feathered demons for friends.

His kick made her swing her trident around in a full circle, ending up with her falling forward and it landing in his shoulder. She stared in horror as it imbeded itself in the student.
