[ARTIFACT QUEST] It's Time for ADVENTURE - PG. 10!

Taima gasped as she was suddenly thrown into and against everyone else, and then she just lost her s**t at the proximity and the stress of everyone in the tight quarters.

Once she was finally outside--and it was so good to be out of there, she felt so much better now, even if she was still going to kill Danny slowly for this--she stood well away from the others, still occasionally throwing off sparks as she straightened ruffled feathers. She winced as some broken ones were pulled free, forming a sad little pile around her. "I hope that's where we're going," Taima muttered. "Sure as Jack not going on another train."

The food didn't quiet do it, the sudden stop threw him across into someone's lap, he wasn't entirely sure who's. While the world was spinning and he was very disoriented he thought he would be fine.

And then a pulse crackled through the air and nope that was it, he was done. His stomach would handle no more. Andrew put a hand to his mouth and excuse him he would just be over here, behind the car.

At least they weren't moving anymore.

Just as he was savoring the last bite of his impromptu snack, the train began to rumble, flinging West from his seat before he could brace himself. He wasn't really sure what happened between his surprise flight and waking up to the sounds of Andrew puking nearby, but it wasn't like it really mattered. They had crashed and now he was outside and all of this was really familiar somehow.

"Jingleberry?" he muttered, rubbing his eyes. When the peppermint ninja didn't immediately appear, West looked around for his companions instead.

Rikki grunted as he was rammed into by the other half of the cart and cried out when suddenly Taima was shocking the hell out of them. He stumbled off the train on uneasy legs and squinted at their surroundings. He noticed the staff pushing at an invisible wall before he paid attention to anything else. "What the jack, augh."

He turned to Danny as he heard the man shouting their destination. "Uh, yeah actually." Rikki raised his hand to the old man. "That's us! We're going to Kingshill!"

"Oy! See!" The first man said to his incredulous friend, who stared at the group blankly.

"But why would ya wanna go up to that cur-"

"NEVERMIND HIM. The boat's right this way, right this way." The man walked towards his little dingy, which was large enough for all of them. It had a tiny lantern on the end and a singular engine for paddling. He gave a wary glance to those with wings. "Are ye ... all takin' the boat?"

Danny's color seemed to drain at the idea of taking such a flimsy boat across a pit of DEATH. She gave a hesitant look to Taima. "Do you um ... do you have room for one more??" Danny would take potential electric shock over a giant body of water any day. She looked at Andrew, who was hopefully thinking the same thing she was. "Maybe two?"

Regardless of if they flew or took the boat, you are now outside of the castle. It is large, eerie and overall SPOOKY. The walls are made of old stone, and moss has been growing over some of the cracked pieces. The large wooden door is easily moved aside, and there is nowhere to go but inside.

Once inside, a large staircase opens up before you, stealing the spotlight from the rest of the room. Candles on the walls are simultaneously lit and explode into fiery light fixtures (Danny gives a lot of whooping and hollering at that point). There are paintings decorating the walls, and although they are still, some seem to move out of the corner of your eye.

Most oddly set are the doors. Each one is wooden and ancient, just as the door they used to enter the castle, but they are all colored and have symbols on them. Two door sit at the top of the stairs, while the other ten are located in a circle around the first floor.

Danny was still feeling pretty nauseous from having to stare down at the water, so she just sort of leaned against a wall. "Y-You guys uh ... urp- you guys go ahead."

Shun took the boat. It was flimsy as hell and if it sank, he'd be screwed, but he didn't give a damn. Taima's back was more crowded really. Eventually, when they arrived at their destination, he looked over the castle with a tilt of his head. The thing that caught his attention the most were the various symbols on the wooden doors all around.

The reaper wandered over towards the door with the taurus symbol, tilting his head slightly.

Once recovered he did catch up with the group. Taima received a glare. While the pit of death did not appeal any more to Andrew than it did Danny, nor did the shaky boat he had one advantage. "I can fly, I'm not going on that dingy death trap." he had flown over the lake back at amity more than once.

It wasn't even being close to the water that bothered him, it was the idea of getting on another moving thing so soon again.

Well that was a nice effect. Really he had seen better fireworks at home though. He didn't know why Danny was that excited... then again she was excited by animals. But was she sick? They were long off the train Danny.

What caught his interest was the symbols. He counted them. What were they? He thought he recognized them, like from a game or something. Did they have anything to do with treasure?

Andrew wandered up the stairs to stare at the two up there. He tried the one on the left. Curiosity was a bit stronger than fear at this point.

As Shun approached the door, the symbol begins to glow a deep red color. A whispering hangs on the edge of his mind, though what words he's trying to reach never come to him. Almost like he's forgotten something, but can't remember what.

However, the door very clearly means no harm. It is a strange, tickling feeling, but no more than that.

Upon entering the gemini door, Andrew finds an enormous banquet hall. There are four tables, which stretch as far as the eye can see, made out of an ancient wood. There are tattered banners hanging from the rafters, but their symbols and colors have long faded to a dreary, dusty brown color.

The moment the door clicks into place, the tables erupt into food. Any type of food imaginable- even some food that wasn't found in Halloween. Color seems to return to the hall as more of the torches light themselves.

The room seems to call Andrew in, begging him to stay for awhile. It feels like home.

But where did it come from?

"Where did...food." the nausea from the horrible train ride had long worn off. and he was hungry considering he was pretty much completely unable to eat anything the whole trip. Andrew looked around for people. Where did all this delicious food come from? He wasn't sure.

It beckoned to him, where they looking for something? Did it even matter? He had an all you can eat buffet right here. Andrew took a seat and decided he would just stay a while perhaps. Taking something that was defiantly on fire still, he began dinner.

Shun slowed his approach as he began to feel a little weird. He turned to the side, seeing Andrew go into another. Then, shaking his head to himself, he went on into the Taurus room.

Rikki squinted at the other man, but followed their apparent guide into the boat. He cast a wary glance to Danny, but climbed into the boat behind Shun. He, at least, could swim, and had no qualms about being on a shitty plank of wood in the middle of nowhere.

He stuck close to Danny for a moment after entering the castle, but after he realized she'd be okay if she just hung back for a minute he squeezed her shoulder. "I'm going to go look around. Stay right here."

He took the door with the aries symbol because it was closest.

Andrew would find that no matter how much he ate, the food would always replenish itself. It tasted delicious and perfect, though oddly dry. Is the ... food actually moving towards you? It certainly wasn't unusual for food to creep and crawl, but this food seemed to gravitate towards Andrew, as though magnetized.

If anyone looked into the room, they would find that Andrew was eating multiple balls of old socks.

Upon opening the Taurus door, Shun would find nothing of interest. A few open windows, lightly letting in the afternoon breeze, and a large pedestal in the center.

The pedestal was no more than a few feet higher, but had a curved surface on the top, like a bowl or a dish. Along the edges reads a strange language you can't understand.

When Rikki opened the aries door, he would find it to be a sort of stable. Multiple carriages lined the walls, all attached to strange creatures, while the rafters were filled with baby gryphons and their mothers, who sleepily peaked their heads at Rikki and then went back to sleep. Other than that, the room is remarkably plain and empty.

Given how there was just a pedestal in the room, Shun approached that, though cautiously. Once he reached it, he looked down into its dip, taking note of the strange symbols around the edges. With a tilt of his head, he lightly touched one of them, then looked around. He wasn't sure what to make of this just yet.

Maybe he needed to spit into the bowl or something.

Rikki was never leaving this room. He made a delighted noise as the gryphons lightly nipped at him, ruffling his hair, and spun to look at all the tiny babies. He backed right into a more terrifying creature, but even that made him grin widely. This was a goldmine.

He reached up and patted the leathery creature on the nose. "You pull these big carriages all by yourself, buddy?" The creature snorted wetly at him and he laughed.
