Beau stared at Larry before giving a cheeky grin. "I called my powder stuff boom-boom, but here's the real thing." Grabbing two rocks before smacking them together next to one of the fuses, Beau felt happy once he saw a few sparks land near the wick and he began to blow in an effort to get it to ignite. Unable to get it to catch on the rope, the Scatterbug hybrid began to scratch at his little fuzzy muffler, eventually getting some of it free and placing it on the sparks and watching it ignite. It would quickly spread to the fuse before it also lit on fire and began to go towards the pointer on the end of the stick. "Duck!" Beau cried, leaping away from the firework as the fuse began to go into the casing.

"Wait, what is it going to- oh Arceus!" Larry shouted as he followed after Beau, almost landing on top of him as he hit the ground.

As the pair crashed into the floor, the firework would ignite and send the small rocket flying into the air above the forest. As the two watched the device, it would explode in midair into a brilliant display of lights and color that fell onto the leafy forest above them. Not content with the single burst of starlight, Beau would already be setting up multiple fireworks and tying their fuses together.

As the two watched the device, it would explode in midair into a brilliant display of lights and color that fell onto the leafy forest above them. Not content with the single burst of starlight, Beau would already be setting up multiple fireworks and tying their fuses together. "Wow, that was neat!" Larry said with a cheer. "Uh...is that safe? Putting them together like that?" He asked.

Beau would confidently light the rope of fuses, casually glancing over to Larry with a cunning look in his eye. "I've seen my daddy do it like this lots of times and I helped a lot. This is perfectly safe." Continuing to watch the moving bit of fire, the knot of fuses would soon go up in a puff of smoke and the mass of fuses all separated while still being lit. What this allowed Beau to do was count how many he had actually tied together and finally reach the realization that he made a mistake. "Wait a minute. That's a lot more than I remember tying together. Quick, run away! I dunno whats gonna happen!" Crowing as a small puff of powder inadvertently released itself behind him, the Scatterbug hybrid would lepa and tackle Larry towards the treeline as he heard the fireworks begin to fire themselves around erratically.

"I don't know! This looked like the normal amount for a multishot!" Beau cried back, quietly rolling over to watch the fireworks go off in bright explosions in the sky, trees, and all over the place. Well, this was gonna end bad for him. Might as well prepare for whatever happens next.

And it was good that they decided to move, as the area they had been occupying began to set itself alight from the sparks of the fireworks. The tree tops above would also begin to slowly ignite, but it seemed hard pressed to start a fire for the moment. Perhaps the fact that the trees were actually alive and had water in them was keeping it under control for the moment. Well, either way, Beau could see the lone firewoman flying over the treetops to check out his latest incident. Hopefully this wouldn't end with him and his dad being dragged in front of the authority crew again. Either way, time to keep running.

"I thought it was a good idea! But it looked awesome, you have to admit." Beau screamed back, the pair now sprinting deeper into the woods and escaping any possible suspicion for the fire. At least, that's how Beau saw it. He had no real idea, but he sincerely hoped that this was going to end well for everyone involved. Wordlessly behind them, the Masquerain hybrid would be quietly putting out the fire and grabbing the firework casings from the area for evidence of what caused the fire. Not like it took a genius since the fireworks alert had gotten them there in the first place.

3 years later.
The school was on fire and it wasn't Beau's fault.
Nah, the school wasn't on fire. Beau might have wished it was at the moment because it might make things more exciting but it wasn't. It had been forever since he had met Larry and he hadn't grow taller at all since then. Hell, he barely even looked like he had grown older unless you were looking directly at his face. And he was stuck in his own personal hell. Flower arranging and gardening. Well, at least until they were finally released the tiny Scatterbug hybrid stumbled out into the world. He had been told all this time he would be a Spewpa hybrid by the time he was nine and it hadn't even happened. Hell, it had been six months and there was no feeling of anything. Well, at least larry might show up soon.

Shouted a familiar voice, the source was a medium sized brown dot in the distance, too far away to make out the face but Beau would certainly know who it was. By the time the figure came into normal speaking distance he was out of breath and had some sort of wooden sword in his hand. "I finally caught you, Beau. School been keeping you busy as well?" He asked his fellow hybrid. Larry was starting to shoot up already. Seemed to have happened all the sudden too, just a few months ago he was about Beau's height (finally) and now he was slowly (but surely) passing him up. Wasn't noticeable to the average person but someone like Beau might notice it.

Beau gave a small sigh before giving a small nod in response to Larry. "Sure. Flower arrangement and caretaking of the things is really keeping me busy. I still maintain that the things are well disguised ways to fire out the annoyance powder I have. Otherwise, I might think I've been stuffed with a job that is going to be absolutely tedious and boring for me." Beau shot back, eyes slightly narrowed as he bit down on his tongue and let the end of it show out of his mouth. Making a grab for the sword that Larry was currently holding, the Scatterbug hybrid would keep talking to his friend. "So how goes your training there, mister knight? Can you teach me some of it? I wanna be able to do something with myself besides sit around and do flower stuff." Hoping the request wouldn't be looked too deeply in to, Beauregard would continue his grabbing for the sword in an effort to get himself a chance to at least try and use it.

"Here." Larry said with a chuckle as he handed Beau his wooden sword. "Don't have to be so sneaky next time. Training has been fun though. We've been practicing stances, swinging, how to disarm your enemy without harming them. A lot of the lessons are on fighting without hurting the opponent. I guess I could teach you some things, that is if you're not afraid of being hurt." The Pinsir hybrid complimented that slight jab with his signature toothy grin, pondering how Beau would react.
