The black lioness took a deep breath and considered what she was being asked. Considering the secrecy and the roundabout fashion in which this conversation had gone in circles, she highly doubted it was something Shangyue would approve of. But, to be honest, Caritas didn't wholly approve of Shangyue.
As a Midwife, she considered it her duty to help parents and children come to terms with birth classes and find the positives, no matter how high or low. And the fact that Shangyue had brought the low class into the spotlight and helped them to have some real self-worth as a group was no bad thing.
But.
But he had murdered four innocent lions, four good, prepared rulers in order to seize a throne that might have been his birthright, but not for years to come. Not just any lions, but Caritas' family. Sure, Shangyue was also kin, but not as closely related. She closed her eyes, considering the depth of the decision she was about to make, the treachery against her King. Her eyes opened once more.
"Yes."

Ota and Kamia watched Caritas consider, waiting patiently for her answer. When her eyes closed, they glanced over to each other and then Ota's eyes went up to the sky. When she looked back down, she met Caritas gaze with a smile.
"Then we better get going," she said.
Kamia looked surprised.
"Now?"
Ota shrugged. They didn't give themselves a lot of time because they would have to take advantage of someone agreeing as quickly as possible.. and they had gone into it knowing their options were extremely limited. If Caritas had said no, the plan would have changed. But they didn't have to worry about that now.
"Yes."
Kamia blinked, then looked at Caritas with a smile.
"Well, there's a mother out there waiting for us," she said, "Let's go!"
