	His eyes narrowed. "Oh." She wasn't a bear. She was a doll. That looked like a bear. It made sense suddenly.... well, all but the part where she couldn't grasp the fact that he wasn't a deer. "I see." He stood there for a moment, contemplating things. "Do you eat?"

	She wasn't sure why she told him. Perhaps it was out of pity. After all, not everyone could be smart like her, and the poor boil just seemed so confused. His dull response only made her pout at him, as if he had been expecting something grander. "What, a possessed doll not good enough for you? I'm sorry I'm not a mutant deer, Mr. Mutant deer." She seemed even more offended at the fact that he thought she didn't eat, and puffed her cheeks up, punching him in the stomach. It probably didn't hurt much. "Of course I eat! How dumb can you get?"

	He was in the middle of shrugging when she punched him. It didn't hurt, but it did surprise him a little. He might have laughed. A tiny bit. The tiniest bit. "I don't know anything about possessed dolls. I can't judge you one way or the other if I don't know anything about you." He shrugged again, clawed hands coming up in an exaggerated show of not knowing. "Not too dumb. I was just checking."

	Maddie wasn't convinced, and she folded her arms, still giving him an irritable look. "What do YOU eat?"

	He returned her look. "Food. Tasty food." It was very general, but it was true. And he did eat almost anything. "What do you eat?"

	A smile grew on his face. It turned into a toothy grin. He'd been looking for the cafeteria. He knew there had to be one, or some such shop that sold food things. But this..... "You go hunting?"

	"Uh, yes?" What was with that look? Such a creeper. "I am a bear after all." It was probably easy to see why he didn't quite understand her, considering she seemed to contradict herself.

	He blinked again. "Are you? I thought you were a doll. Do dolls hunt?" The question led to others. All very important. "Where do you hunt? What do you hunt?"

	"I am a SPECIAL doll. I prey on the souls of the weak and stupid." She gave Chase a very deliberate look at this statement. "Does it matter where I hunt? Why? Are you going to invade my hunting spot? That's not beary nice. Bully."

	"Oh," he said again. "I see." He really didn't, but that wasn't important. Some kind of special hunting doll. Who preyed on souls. He let out a sad little sigh. "No, I have no intention of stealing from you. But I would have been curious to know the good hunting spots. For meat, not souls." He tilted his head a little. She seemed annoyed with him. Or something, he wasn't sure. He didn't have a lot of dealings with tiny hunting bear dolls, and so far they just seemed nosy and grumpy. "But I suppose if you don't hunt for meat then you have nothing to worry about from me." He scratched his chin. "And if you don't know anything about where to find food then I am sorry I bothered you." He was trying to be polite.
