Short Summary of their plotline: Ithillún and Retrieve met as foals. Both raised by overprotective parents, they spent a lot of time together, always under one family's or the other's supervision. As they got older, they fell in love, and they could just never imagine being with anyone else.

What are their parents' personalities?
Mother: In short, Ithillún is very perceptive and has strong opinions about the difference between "good" and "evil," or at least her ideas of the two. Generally either silent or very quiet, she usually only speaks or allows her playful nature to come out when around family or friends, and she does not talk to strangers. Touch her flowers and she'll hiss at you. Or something equally menacing. She adores flowers, and while she once hated the bugs that ate them, there are a few species that she will not shoo away, as Retrieve has taught her their benefits. She is working on building a garden with the help of her family and herd, the purpose of which is to minimize the need to pick wild flowers.
Father: Okay, the family is known well enough and lets admit it, their not your usual bunch. Retrieve in that sense is no different, he's an odd ball, a freakish joke of nature though he personally is blissfully ignorant of the fact. He has an obsessive nature, much like a child when you tell them to stop doing something, Retrieve will stop, focus on what you've asked him to focus upon but his mind will simply wonder back to that thing he wasn't meant to be doing and gradually he'll revert back to his mischief. As a foal he drove his gentle natured mother mad, and as an adult he still worries her, he simply will not, never, grow up.

His obsession's are generally to do with the smaller things in life, he loves insects of any description, frogs, fish, snakes; the creatures most Soquili usually find a little distasteful or scary. He has a habit of following them about, simply seeing what they get up to and every so often he might just take pleasure in aggravating them. His nose is scarred with tiny bite marks and scratches, and has in the past be severely ill from licking a frog, he went blind for a couple of days after pestering a beetle who simply had enough and turned to spray a chemical mist in Retrieve's face. So you see his interest in all things great, and especially, small has in the past gotten him into a lot of trouble. Because of his obsession though he generally never strays far from his family home, the swamp and surrounding woodland is abundant in all the things which keep him happy, including mushrooms.

All children love sweets, and in Retrieve's case, he has a weakness for mushrooms. He'll do anything for you if you have one upon you... so if you want him to pay attention and to put his mischief on hold, just dangle one in front of his nose and he's all yours.

Mother: A member of the Vanaras. Presently creating a garden for the herd's use. She is an apprentice to her mother as the Mistress of Ceremonies, and it is thought that she will one day take over the position.

What are their family dynamics? They will be raising the foals together, probably with the help of their own parents.

Traditions:
Herd/Family Culture: Ithillún is a member of the Vanaras. While the herd doesn't have many traditions aside from coming of age and lifemating ceremonies, they are a very close knit group. Combat training is mandatory, as the herd has been attacked by skinwalkers twice. There are several lifemated pairs within the herd, and while flings are less common, they are not looked down upon. Children are generally raised with exposure to every aspect of herd life, usually through babysitters, but couples may choose to raise their offspring solely by themselves.
Religious Beliefs: Ithillún believes that her family is descended directly from the trees: her father comes from the old Cerynei Lands, where the common belief was that the Cerynei were formed from the bodies of the trees themselves. Her mother, on the other hand, comes from a place where her species, the dryads and grove keepers, were believed to have been made by the forests to serve as their caretakers, simply appearing as needed as serving as their caretakers until their deaths. Ithillún believes that, somewhere along the line, the blood of the Cerynei became diluted enough to lose touch with nature - while her mothers and sisters hear "the voice of the forest" (an extension of their hearing that is processed by their brains as voices), she does not. Even so, she believes the trees know all, and that they are connected all over the world by a giant network. She regularly asks them for knowledge and guidance, though she gets no answer.
