Bartimaeus
Realizing he had pushed a little far he readily backed off with his head more than a little fuzzy. Normally he only had a single drink during festivals but this time had a bit more knowing he was more relaxed around people when he was inebriated. Bowing low he carefully backed off and let them eat in peace while he hung around the performers. He actually knew several of them from his local festival so he had no issues fitting into their performances before bidding them a good evening when they moved on. Sitting down he asked the waitress for a small bone for the dragon before sitting and trying to get his eye to stop throbbing. Subconsciously he rubbed it before, embarrassed, he dropped his hand. Watching Cerunnos gnaw on the bone, he began to hum his mother's lullaby before he realized it. While it may not have been warmly recieved he was rather proud that he'd worked up the guts to ask the girl to dance. as it was he was already aware of how many girls were pointing and whispering with frowns from the moment he'd arrived at the festival. At least now they had a reason to laugh at him. From the next table over though there arose a comment, soft enough to not raise attention everywhere but just loud enough to be heard at the table, that made him turn red with frustration and sadness. "Poor freak must not have realized he didn't have a chance with her." he immediately put his hood up and tried to hide his flushed face.
