Helmut was getting pretty good at navigating the Crumbling Ruins of Xavier. He started to topple and she adjusted herself on him as he went slowly, to prevent getting laid on or tumbling off. By the time he made it to the floor, Helmut was sprawled on his side, her feet hooked on his hip and her knees dangling on either side of him so they didn't touch the ground, and her hands gripping the sleeve of his jacket, which also doubled as a pillow. All in all, it looked like she was laying on her belly on a tree branch, except this branch was (mostly) alive and (somewhat) breathing.
"I dunno like…octopus colour change or sommat?" She mused, rubbing her face on his bicep and then trying to shake her little antlers free of his fluffy . When what he was saying once more registered with her, her efforts to free her antlers were greatly reduced. "Umm…y-yeah…that'd be…nice…" She stammered out, clutching his sleeve by her face so she could hide. "…cause last time…" Hel ruined everything. Everything, and it was awful and terrible and not nice…

"Y-yeah!" She agreed with a nod. A nod that, thankfully, freed her antlers from his collar. "E-even if she did go, she wouldn't bother us twice, right?" Helmut decided, giving her friend way too much of the benefit of doubt. At that moment she slid off of Xavier, joining him on the floor on her side as well, looking at him with strangely wide droopy eyes.
"A-are you sure you wanna…um…go to the dance…with me?" She asked, quietly because they were half in the hallway, but also because she really didn't want him to hear her very nervous question.

He liked it this way better, because he could see Helmut's face.
"Yes," said Xavier, with more confidence than he actually felt. "Y-yes, she wouldn't bother us t-twice, that's just ridiculous."
There was a pause in which he stared back at Helmut, her voice very small, almost as small as Xavier's got when he was nervous or terrified. A red flush suffused his cheeks, and he squirmed a little, his hair falling over his face as he gave a vigorous, definite nod of his head.
"Y-yes," he said, and looped an arm around her thin shoulders. "Yes. I d-do, I definitely d-do."

Helmut, who was a rather big fan of being as physically close to people as possible - especially when said person was warm. Xavier was worm, and sometimes he held her tightly and that just made it warmer, which was awesome. Plus, it was Xavier, which held a special place above, well, most of her friends. So when he just continued to cuddle with her, she let it slide. It was okay, because it was Xavier.
But a few seconds ticked by, and then she started squirming. It was light at first, just a little wiggle, but a few seconds after that she was weaselling her hands out from between them both, stretching them above her head. Little black claws wiggled menacingly in the air - probably unseen, laying as they were - as she repeated her whine:
"FooooOooood~?"
kuuropii she has a one track mind and i am sorry
