"More kids are cooooming," he muttered, "We should just--"
The naga clasped his hand over the goblin's mouth.
"Shut it! We can handle this. Boss will have your hide if you mess this up for us," he hissed lowly.
The ghast pointed at Estel and shouted, "Hey! Git outta our work zone! Don'make me throw ya out!"
There were eight symbols in all on the stone foundation. Each one was circular in form with a different emblem or rune of sort. One was in the center while the other seven were placed equidistant around it. They likely didn't look like anything any of the students might have seen before.
The zombie spotted Alex's tray of goods.
"Ooh! Sweets! Can I ha--"
The ghast spun around and slapped the zombie for being dumb.
As for the witch, she smiled sweetly before making a wave with her hand. An official looking document conjured in the air before her. She only let it linger before waving it off, causing it to vanish again.
"There. Happy? Now let us work."
"And for the record, we did not carve anything!" The naga chipped in, still keeping his hands over the goblin's mouth to keep him from talking. Only a few muffled things came out of that one now.

Shun had already been on his phone when it chimed to let him know a message had come. Thankfully, his phone has text to speech. After finishing up, he listened to what was sent, taking note who it had come from as well. His good eye narrowed, and he quickly set off towards the school. Two sources saying something was going on. He didn't like the sounds of that.
When he arrived, it wasn't exactly hard to find out where around the gym things were going down. Not with the growing group of students and alumni gathered around a hole in the ground. He quietly approached, stepping in behind Edel with his hands in his pockets. The Reaper didn't say anything yet. He just looked between the five suspicious people digging up the place, as well as the exposed foundation. He had missed the little display of magic on the witch's part and he wasn't sure if they were dealing with golems or shady people of an entirely different sort.
Estel was here, among other familiar and less familiar faces.
The two-head boil in arpon smiled tenderly, "Don't worry, they're not poisonous, I can guarantee." As if to prove his word, the Head found a gap to slip its big head through and rolled some of the treats off the tray. "See."
Since the group was dealing with other students at the same time, there were moments they were not looking at him. Quickly slid his phone out, he snapped a picture of the stone foundation and put it back. Then smiled as if nothing had happened.
There were many teachers he knew in this school, and he was quite a hard-working student, right? It won't be a bad idea to learn about mysterious runes or emblems. He then feigned a slightly startled face, "Oh jack, what're those symbols? Does someone put a giant curse on our gym?" He was quite good at - acting stupid even his friend knew he wasn't.
Andrew got a text:

Hi Andrew, those people are suspicious but before we know what they want to do, let's me pry that out.
The text attached with a photo of the stone foundation.

"Tastes good AJ, remind me to come bother you more often." it was getting crowded, Andrew dropped back and stood by AJ. And he stared down at his phone and pulled up the picture.
AJ got a text back. Just two words, two words were all he needed.

Treasure hunt.
He paused a long moment and then sighed and sent another text.

Though they are being rather suspicious... Fine.
Andrew wanted treasure hunt.
Shifting from food to food he took another cookie. He would be patient and wait for now.
Mathias shot Holly a quick look, wanting nothing more than to say "Who cares?" But instead, somehow, managed to refrain. Instead, when she was near enough, he awkwardly gave her a pat on the arm that was probably meant to be comforting.
Or something.
Keeping the ghoul near him once they arrived at the now crowded scene, Mathias paid close attention to each of the more adult creatures as they spoke, attempting to give explanation for what they were doing there and why. When Dirge approached, Mathias merely shrugged his shoulders.
"I do not know. I am trying to vork that out." He replied, before his gaze slid over towards Holly. "You have not seen anything like those symbols before, have you? Or you?" Back to Dirge again.
As more students arrived and more commotion erupted, Mathias scowled.
"So who did carve them, than?" He asked of the naga, who at the present moment at least seemed more likely to let something slip than the witch, or the goblin who was currently being stifled.

Marosa had gone to the gym to practice his fighting skills, but had not anticipated the commotion that was there. Stepping into the gym, the gancanagh slid against the wall and winced, stepping forward just a bit to relieve pressure from his shoulders. His back was still on fire, but he had wanted to get stronger to fight longer.
Unfortunately, that was no longer an option.
Silently, Marosa watched from the wall, feeling like the group was up to no good.

The naga looked back at the symbols, then shrugged.
"Beats me. Probably a wizard did it, or maybe a demon. I don't know. Doesn't matter! We're here to deal with it," he hissed lowly.
"Yes. Yes. Now go away scarelings. Scram!" the Witch restated.

There was quite the rabble going on around this little group, and Danny was never one to avoid rabble. Rabble was what made life interesting.
She listened to the others rabble rabble before offering up her own question. "Why's it gotta be dealt with? What's it doing?" Danny put her hand on her cheeks. "Is it going to explode?"

Lock was out for an evening stroll when he spotted the group. It looked incredibly suspicious and immediately set off alarms in his head that so many people would be standing around runes. He had been around Shun long enough to be paranoid that runes and carvings usually meant hunters. Even if they weren't glowing and didn't look like the normal hunter runes, Lock was too on edge from previous events.
Paranoid and annoyed, Lock approached what appeared to be a handful of troublemakers surrounded by nosey people. He looked the five over and said, "Where are your skull pins? Do you have visitor's passes?" Lock was a tightass for rules and these people were not following them.

The goblin began to squirm when Danny spoke up. The naga was struggling a bit to keep him restrained and shut up.
The witch made an exasperated sigh and made a wave of her hand. Something that could have been a visitor's pass appeared in the air briefly before she waved it away.
"Happy? We are here to work. Not study like you little brats. Leave us be."

Shun narrowed his good eye as he watched all of this. The carvings in the foundation were peculiar, but he wasn't yet sure what to make of them. He really didn't like the way these five strangers were acting. The witch's little magic display suggested they weren't golems, but something was still not right.
"You should go. Now." he warned.

The carvings felt smooth to the touch, but before anything could really happen, the ghast slapped Danny's hand away.
"No touch! Adults are workin' 'ere. Get out! Scram! Go 'way!"

Lock crossed his arms. Any reaper could have easily magic'd themself a piece of paper. Most visitors already had theirs in their pocket or otherwise. He didn't trust it, even more since Shun was taking offense to them. Anyone Shun was pushing, so was Lock.
A miniature version of his mentor, Lock narrowed his eyes at the same time as Shun. "And the rest of you? Your passes?"
---
Danny hissed at the slap and immediately ignited her fist into a flaming arm. "Yeah well I'm an adult and I'm working too!" she argued, sticking out her tongue. It was a dumb logical point, but Danny was always annoyed when people told her she couldn't do something.
She flicked her tail in the ghast's direction, knowing full well that fire worked well against undeads. Then she put a flat palm on one of the runes, pressed into it, scratched at another one- trying to mess with it further.

West was wandering. He had no real reason to be on campus, at least until he saw Danny causing trouble and a bunch of runes and s**t glowing away next to the gym. Obviously he was meant to be here. Cosmically, or something. His first thought was hunters too, but he pushed it away, unwilling to think about all of that unless it was absolutely necessary. Instead, he stuck his hands into the pockets of his jacket and simply observed.
