Blissey let out a slight shriek as the slithery snake thing resisted its charms and actually attacked it! The creature was too quick and it was too close to avoid the tail so all the Happiness Pokemon could do was brace its self for the worse, and it was indeed bad.
"Blissey! You okay?" Kimberly the Ace Trainer asked as she watched her pink Pokemon get thrown across the field, hitting the ground with a thud. The now wet Normal type was hurt pretty bad but it managed to survive. "That poison should be pretty nasty by now, let's see if we can stall a little longer. Softboiled, Blissey." The woman commanded.
Her Blissey would be all too happy to obey the command as she quickly snatched her egg out of its pouch and began to vapidly consume it. With the egg devour she then took a bite of the half eaten apple around her neck and the aquatic rings around her began to sooth her bruises. Blissey recovered a good bit of health but it may not survive another one of those Aqua Tails, Blissey aren't known to be physically sturdy.

Requiem of Whyspers rolled 1 6-sided dice:
4
Total: 4 (1-6)

Nuregami was indeed feeling the poison, though it's confusion made it less noticeable. Not by much, though. Lykas could see he was suffering by now but if he could get one more good hit in, he could call the battle and heal his partner. "Nuregami, try and get another Aqua Tail off on it." He called. If this failed, he would have little choice but to recall the Milotic before he completely succumbed to the poison. Nuregami heard the call but whether or not he made sense of it was unclear to Lykas just yet.
((Same as before for the roll))

That was it, there was no delaying the inevitable any longer. Kimberly and had both hoped that the confusion would had set in and bought them the one extra turn they needed to cement their survival and soon victory. Unfortunately the bond between Nuregami and Lykas was so great that not even the most enchanting of kisses could deter them from their goal.
The Aqua Tail bore down on Blissey and took her off her feet, sending her tumbling to the ground in a puddle of water formed from the Aqua Tail's aftermath and the now defunct Aqua Ring. Blissey and Kimberly were defeated.
"It would seem fortune has favored you this time." Kimberly said with a smile. "I wouldn't use your Milotic any more than you absolutely have to while in this tower, the poison running through it is probably pretty nasty by now. Regardless, you may proceed with your journey up the tower. Let me warn you, I am merely a warm up compared to the others." She assured Lykas.

Lykas nodded. "I have no intention of using him again until that poison has been dealt with." Lykas assured the woman, recalling his severely weakened Milotic at the same time. "Sorry to put you through that, Nuregami. Thanks for toughing it out." He told the Pokeball in his hand.
"You might have been a warm up but you were a good opportunity to really see what I'm up against. I can only assume how difficult the coming challenges are." The hybrid told her before turning and beginning the trek up the stairs to what he assumed would be another battle platform.

The hybrid told her before turning and beginning the trek up the stairs to what he assumed would be another battle platform. The climb this time was little longer, maybe five minutes more than the last set. By the time Lykas made it to the next platform he was probably just slightly more winded than before. This platform was also carved with its own design, this time a red color scheme with a stylized Blaziken mural. Lykas didn't have much time to admire the field when the next master spoke up. "Attack Master Jason is prepared and honoured to meet you in battle!" An Ace Trainer declared as he almost marched up to Lykas and shook his hand. "How about that climb? Excellent exercise, isn't it? Good practice for long marches." He said was he began to 'march' back to his end of the field. "Prepared for battle?" He asked as he tossed out a Fast Ball, the ball popping open to reveal a Darmanitan.

"As matter...of fact...I am." Lykas huffed. ~Am I really this out of shape?~ He thought as he reached toward his belt. He had decided the moment he saw that Darmanitan who he was going to battle with. He was familiar with that Pokemon; Moreso than he would like to admit after the events in Unova way back when and while he felt that a bruiser would be a good choice to match a bruiser, he released Chinami the Dewott into the field. She was agile and evasive as well as having the stamina to keep going for a while as long as she didn't get hit too many times.
"I made...a bad decision...in the last battle. So if you don't mind...I'll start this one." He said, rubbing his shaken hand now that his Pokemon was out. It still hurt slightly. This guy had one hell of a grip. "Chinami, begin by showing off your Swords Dance." He instruction, his breath finally returning to him enough that he wasn't gasping when he spoke any more.
The Discipline Pokemon nodded and drew her scalchops from her fur obi, a thin blade of water energy emerging from the center of each before spreading out as she opened her fans. She danced. Vigor and determination rose deep within her. She felt as if she could take on the world now. She was ready.

"Darmanitan, Rock Smash." The Ace Trainer commanded, not so much as blinking as the Dewott began to do its little dancing routine, the Attack Master appearing to not be concerned by the power up.
The ape let out a fierce howl as it jumped up high into the air, the purple orb around its neck giving off a faint glow causing the ape to winch but its overall chi surging incredibly in two bursts. The fire monkey would bring both of its mighty fists down upon Dewott, either slamming them into him or the ground. Whatever they came in contact with was about to be in a world of hurt.

That flash. Lykas recognized it but couldn't place what had caused it. He could swear he'd seen it somewhere before but what was it?! "Chinami, dodge!"He ordered, quickly. The Dewott did as instructed, jumping back to avoid the attack but when Darmanitan hit the floor, chunks of polished stone flew up from the impact, some of them large enough to actually hurt. Okay, that wasn't as bad as it could have been but there could be no taking chances here. Even one hit from this beast would likely end Chinami's run in the battle.
"Razor Shell. Hit from as far away as you can. You absolutely must maintain distance in his battle." The hybrid instructed. Chinami nodded and lashed out, slashing at the Fire-type from just close enough to hit it.

"Now, Darmanitan!" The Ace Trainer cried out as the aquatic otter moved into slashing range. The ape took the attack head on, the water blade cutting deep and causing considerable pain for the Blazing Pokemon. However while Chinami and Lykas thought they were hanging back it was still too close as the Fire type wildly lashed out, attempting to grab the Dewott with one hand, smash it into the ground, and pummel it with its free hand by utilizing another Rock Smash. This creature was as fiercely powerful as it was fast.

Chinami was unable to evade Darmanitan's wild strike, snatched up and slammed around, thoroughly pummeled before Lykas could think through a reaction. And he'd been right. She was done. Barely capable of standing after the beating she'd just taken, Chinami struggled to continue fighting even as Lykas recalled her. "That's a powerful Pokemon you've got.." He noted, mentally surveying his list of current party Pokemon.
"Okeanos, you're up!" He called, releasing his Clawitzer from it's ball. "Use Water Pulse." Forging a buzzing sphere of water and sound within it's larger claw, the Howitzer Pokemon fired it with a bang of compressed water, slinging the thing like a liquid bullet at Darmanitan.

The Water Pulse slammed into the monkey, causing it to kneel over in considerably pain. Amazingly the ape was still hanging in there! Barely, but it still stood. "Thank you. Either way this is the end for us, all we can do is hope to make your next challenge more difficult." The Attack Master said with a smile. "Superpower."
The ape obeyed the command with an explosive surge of energy, the sheer amount of chi being harnessed causing the orb hanging from its neck to go dull momentarily. With its new found pulsating aura of Fighting chi the Darmanitan lunged towards the Clawitzer, threatening to pummel it until it couldn't pummel any more.

"Aqua Jet!" Lykas called out. Okeanos responded with a whistle from his larger law, compressing water within before firing it from the rear it. Racing forward with the force of it's jettisoned water, the Clawitzer blazed out of range of the Darmanitan's attack, coming in hot from the ape's other side. Kicking into a sawblade-like spin as he drew within striking distance, the lobster creating a spinning blade of water with it's own body as the center of the impact.

The ape attempt to turn and swing in retaliation, which it did however its swing was rather aimless as it was swept away by the speeding aquatic saw-like shrimp. "Darm!" Cried the monkey as it hit the ground, knocked out cold. "Well that's it for us! Good job, you just might make it to the top." The Attack Master said with a smile as he recalled his Pokemon. "Next up is defense...I hope you got some serious muscle on you." He said as he recalled his Darmanitan.

Lykas nodded calmly. "Thanks for the compliment." He said after recalling Okeanos. "And I have an idea how to deal with defense."He noted before heading up the stairs. He had Tallulah with him today. Not the most powerful attacker, normally, but her ability made her a danger to many targets. The Seadra was one hell of a Sniper, after all. For now, though, the objective was to climb these accursed steps.

"I had gotten ready for you the moment you entered the tower. Unfortunately I overestimated how quick you would make it to me." He said with a sigh as he tossed the book onto the floor and rose up from his seated position. "Shall we? It's the last book in a seven volume series and I'm dying to read the end." He said, tossing a Lure Ball onto the field, the device popping open to reveal a Slowbro, the derpy Pokemon just staring at Lykas from the moment it appeared.
