Falair was kind of hoping she would be nearing the end of this little adventure. She knocked on the next door. "Trick or...treat?!" Yes, that was how it went. The door flew open and a teacher poked their head out. Unfortunately for her it seemed that she was yet again going to have to perform a task for her candy.

The teacher wanted her to roar. Falair was not the type who roared so she was a little under practiced. But sucking in a breath, the mare roared as loud as she could. One of the torches falling off the wall. Well, even that impressed the Horsemen. She didn't know she had that kind of vocal capabilities herself.

Thankfully it garnered her quite a few candies.

Somehow she had managed to find herself wandering into the Weeping Woods. It was actually a nice change of pace, if a bit dark. And quite spookier when it was dark. There was little going on here actually. No critters or creeple roaming about.

It was a nice breath of fresh air.

She came upon a box full of box ties. It was an odd place to keep ties but she shrugged. Grabbing a particularly red and only slightly glittery one and putting it on. A black tie seemed a bit too cliche so the red one would do quite nicely. Even if it did not really match her thrown together costume. But who cared? Her costume was a mish mash of randomness anyway.

A tall and rather slender looking character approached. He wanted her to fetch him some shadow from the forest. Well, that was an interesting request. Perhaps in the process she could collect some herself. It was only fair since she was doing the work for it.

Heading into the forest Falair wandered about. For a moment she felt as if she was going in circles. Over and over again she passed the same signs. Some told her left, others told her right. It was getting rather frustrating and confusing.

Eventually she gave up and head back towards the beginning. Maybe she could get a better grasp on the intricacies of these paths if she payed more attention.

Another attempt at finding what the tall creature wanted. This time she was paying a bit more attention to where she was going. All of a sudden a snarl and warm breath came up behind her. She whipped around to find nothing.

"Haha....funny." But the sound of rapid footsteps approaching gave her a sense of alarm. The mare picked up her pace until she was almost running down the path. Why she felt this way was certainly confusing. Perhaps she was just spooking herself.

Stopping by a tree, she leaned against it. Trying to catch her breath. Falair looked each way on the path but there was nothing there to be seen. Another warm breath and snarl behind her. The mare jumped lightly, twirling around to face whatever was behind her but again nothing.

The foot steps began again, faster and heavier as they got closer. Whatever or whoever it was she could not see. She took off in the opposite direction as quick as her feet could carry her.

Now that it seemed she had lost whatever was following her, Falair found herself walking in circles again. This was great. The signs weren't helping and trying to find anything to help her navigate this dark forest was no where to be found.

Eventually she gave up and found the path back to the entrance. She needed to clear her head of this place for a moment.

This was it. This time Falair would finally find the place where she needed to be. It took a bit more time than she would have liked but eventually the mare had found a set of crossroads.

And there she waited.

After a moment the shadow beast finally approached from its spot hidden in the bushes near the path. Its tail wagging in a friendly manner. Certainly another interesting creature. Falair was quite lucky being exposed to so many this night. It was exciting.

Giving it a few good pats and a belly rub, she quickly scooped a bit of shadow into a container for Mr. X and a bit into a smaller container for her which she quickly slipped into one of her pouches beneath her costume. Success!

She returned to the skinny male, handing him the container before taking her candy and making her way out of the forest.

"Argyle," Selene whispered with a pale face, shaking as Falair left the premises. "Is that true? Does their blood fountain up so?"

The vampire's facade dropped as he hurriedly moved to dismiss the claim. "No, not at all," He assured her. "All these blood related human facts are becoming so mainstream. They're just using the gore factor to get a rise out of you, it's extremely unoriginal." He went on to mumble something about how likely it was that all of the students were being paid off by Blood Cola to subliminal advertise anyway, and Selene's horror was abated for another day.
