Arwan felt a feeling he never had before, a feeling of sadness, and he wasn't about that. He would not let this little cat make him surrender, not if his Lunatone could do anything about it. Through his emotions, he ordered the Lunatone to use Hypnosis on the cat. "Lune-Lune" it replied, its eyes turning a bright blue, emanating the psychic power, the Lunatone was using the Hypnosis attack to control the Espurr, in hopes to stop the sound. "Luuuunnnneeeeeee" The Lunatone emitted as it was enforcing its will onto the other Pokemon.

"Es...purr..." Moaned the Espurr as it fell under the control of the Hypnosis, the cat ceasing its screech and immediately falling over, fast asleep as the Hypnosis relaxed it all the way into dream land. "Tch! Forget this! I'm calling in back up!" The grunt said as he took out his Holo Caster and prepared to call in reinforcements. Uh oh.

"Not so fast." Arwan quipped, Branwen, Use your psychic attack to retrieve that Holo-caster. The Lunatone turned itself to the grunt, its eyes turning blue again, with a melodic Lune, resonating from its body, the Holo-caster flew into the air and into Arwans hands. "Great job buddy," he said happily. His bond growing deeper with the Pokemon every moment. "What you gunna do now?" he asked waving the device in the air tauntingly.

"Tch! You punk!" The grunt growled as he looked down at his sleeping Espurr and gave it a kick. "This!" After delivering the kick he jumped to the side to make it look like he didn't do it as the cat woke up. "That guy kicked you! Do something about it!" The grunt told his Pokemon as it began to wake up. "Purr..." Hissed the cat as it groggily got up. Never wake up a sleeping cat, especially a psychic powered one. "Espurr!" It shouted as it unleashed a surprisingly powerful Psychic attack against not Lunatone but Arwan himself, attempting to blast him away as it thought he kicked it.

"What?!" He replied, in shock. The espurrs attack was coming for him, but he wasn't fast enough. He braced himself for the hit, but he didn't feel anything. He looked and saw that his Lunatone took the full hit of the attack. "Lune...." It uttered as it took the attack, barely making it. Quickly assessing the situation, Arwan decided that he needed to take action. "Branwen, use cosmic power! protect yourself!" he cried. As he had said this, the Lunatone floated up about 5 ft off the ground, and started to emit a light blue aura, it was absorbing the powers of the cosmos to increase its defenses. "Good, now keep doing that until you're better." He said looking at the grunt with a fire in his eye.

"Meh, missed." Mused the grunt. "We'll get you next time. Espurr, another Disarming Voice!" The man ordered. Once again the cat would begin to screech ceaselessly, that horrible sound spewing from its mouth. If Arwan didn't stop this soon all this screaming was bound to attract more onlookers and maybe police. Right now the ones who were here when he arrived fled, not wanting to get caught up in battle.

"Enough of this," Arwan said "Lunatone, hypnosis again!" he cried; the Lunatone stopped absorbing the cosmic energy, now glowing with an ethereal aura, emitted the hypnotic waves, its eyes glowing a deep, sapphire blue, this hypnosis stronger than the last. "You can do it!" Arwan cheered on, hoping this would end that horrible sound, and maybe end this squabble once and for all.

Emensmansera "Enough of this," Arwan said "Lunatone, hypnosis again!" he cried; the Lunatone stopped absorbing the cosmic energy, now glowing with an ethereal aura, emitted the hypnotic waves, its eyes glowing a deep, sapphire blue, this hypnosis stronger than the last. "You can do it!" Arwan cheered on, hoping this would end that horrible sound, and maybe end this squabble once and for all. Something funny would happen this time. The Espurr just stared back at the Lunatone, the Hypnosis seemingly not having any effect on the small cat. Did it fail? "I'm...sleepy..." The grunt said before falling over onto the ground, fast asleep. It would seem while the Esupurr was unaffected this time the grunt had foolishly got caught in the Lunatone's gaze and fell under its spell, sending it off to dream land this time. The Espurr, not sure what to do, just gave Lunatone and Arwan a look before walking over to its trainer, curling up on his back, and going to sleep its self. Okay then, that works.

"Well... that's not exactly what I had in mind, but it works" Arwan said in a happy voice, "Good job Branwen!!" He exclaimed, patting the Pokemon affectionately. "Now, let us try to finish this mission with no more interruptions." The Lunatone chimed back in agreement. Arwan took the gem out and looked at it. It was glowing, and whenever he would bring it closer to the dial, it would glow brighter. "Better put this away.." he thought, slipping back into his jacket. Now, to the Dial and finish the mission. Arwan and Branwen reached the dial around sunset, and he noticed the dial start to glow. "What in the...." He said quietly as he watched it expand and turn into another shape. "I don't know what is happening here, but we need to finish this assignment." he took the gem out, looked at it, then placed into an empty socket on the Dial. There, it was done. "Now what?" He looked at the Lunatone, and it also seemed a bit confused at the nonclimactic reaction.

"Hey, good job! I'm getting readings from the sundial already, that means you successfully got the transponder on it, and just in time too, what with the sun setting and all." Sub began to speak up through Arwan's SNAG. "We'll be able to examine the Anistar sundial in peace now and figure out what makes it tick. I have a feeling I'll need to explain more later but for now you may want to high tail it to the Pokemon Center. I was able to intercept a Holo Caster transmission and it appears Flare grunts are on their way to your location, something about their guard at that location not responding. Claydol is waiting for you there, hope you don't get caught! See you in jail or back at HQ!" And with that Sub hung up. Better get moving, fast.

"Right," Arwan replied. He then recalled the Lunatone back into the Pokeball, in case they were looking for one, as Lunatone is not native to the region, Arwan took a brisk walking pace until he could blend into the surrounding crowd. He saw the Pokemon center, a few blocks down. Just as he saw it he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw a stranger behind him.

"Going somewhere in a hurry, kid?" The Flare grunt asked as he dug his fingers into Arwan's shoulder. "Why don't you take a walk with me? I hear the sundial is just lovely this time of day."

"I positively do not know what you are talking about." He said trying to get away from the other man. "Get off me!" He added, throwing the man's hand off his shoulder. "I have places to be, and can not bother myself with the likes of you." He turned back to the Pokecenter, walking to it again.

"Nah, I think you can be bothered with me." The grunt said as he jogged up and around so that he could stand in Arwan's way. "A friend of mine said he got attack by a kid that fits your description, back at the sundial. And guess what? You were walking away from that direction, what do you have to say to that?" As he said this he slowly began to reach for a Pokeball.

"Could've been anyone. And besides, lots of people are heading from the direction. So, shove off." He said pushing the grunt back. "I have no time for this." He said, not wanting to cause a scene. He felt that the Grunt would not le up, but he did not want to have to start another battle. He decided that if the situation called for it, then he would.
