Bud’s belly was rewarded with a full palm belly rub that really was more of a ‘full body wiggled back and forth’ rub.
“Really? I imagine you at least have an art history paper or an artist’s statement here or there, but…” Given that Cassandra wasn’t an artist, she wasn’t about to claim to know anything about art-school homework.
As for what Wil was smoking, as long as it didn’t smell like cigarettes or burnt popcorn, Cass didn’t really care what it was. Well, there were a lot of other things it could have smelled like that still would have garnered a question, but really as far as she knew there was a limited amount of options so she didn’t mind either way.
When the Instagram was offered up, she flipped through it – taking enough time to look at things, but not trying to zoom in on any pictures or seeming particularly enthralled with anything she’d seen yet. Probably because holding someone else’s phone to look at pictures instilled a certain ‘look quickly, don’t snoop’. “You’re quite the artsy tinkerer,” she said once she finished her browsing through Instagram. “Gonna do gallery work, then?”

"I don't know.. it looks that way.." Wil shrugged. He had just sort of found himself at this point. He already had a degree and he kept going to school longer to get more art degrees because it was easier to say he was in school than to say he didn't want to work a real job like normal people.
"I just like doing art," Painting, illustration, photography, even sculpture and installations. Living Art. He'd done, or would do, it all.
"Most of my heavy reports and homework days are over. Now it's year long projects and series.. updates with my mentors and that kind of stuff.." But he found writing things about art to be much easier. So many art freaks ate up any kind of crap you told them even if the truth was 'I wanted to draw a cat in a sweater'.
Wil did smile, "I maintain a supplemental income anyway." He puffed his smoke, wagged his brows, and winked.
