Another Nincada could be seem coming from the same place as the first one, but by the time it did, Amaranth and Gale had already walked away. It'd be left alone, along with whatever colony might be there.

Stopping at what looked like a beauty salon, Amaranth stopped at the shutters to peer inside. Unlike some of the other forgotten stores, these ones allowed for a way to look inside. It'd be then that she'd spot some figure playing with the various things still inside. Only after it turned around did she decide that sticking around wasn't a good idea, not after seeing a Cleffa look like it decided that some lipstick was a crayon and its face was the canvas. Were this anywhere else, it might've been cute.
Around here? Who knows the horrors that it might be capable of. The Main Mall was big enough that going to another area of it wasn't too hard, luckily.

Jezebel sees a Sewaddle enjoying it's dinner on some plant life. "We should move on. No reason to disturb it's meal time." Continuing on, they encounter another pokemon.

After walking away from the Sewaddle enjoying it's meal time, Jezebel didnt notice the one that crawled into her shoulder from a nearby leaf. "I- Feel- Something- Crawling- On my- back." She said twisting around. After a few moments of struggling she brings her arm around to be face to face with another Sewaddle. "This place is infested!" Lowering her voice, "Well it is abandoned, and i'm sure these pokemon have made it their home." She looks around to find some greeny, "Here you go, take care." She said walking off.

Walking away from her passenger, she hears a bouncing sound. Almost like a trampoline. "What is that noise?" Upon investigation she finds a spoink. "Oh look at it, it's have a blast bouncing ontop of that pile. Lets leave it alone." She said walking around the pokemon trying not to disturb it.

Running as far away from that area of the Main Mall as possible, Amaranth would finally find herself at the remnants of a food court. Figuring it'd be as good a place as any to stop and relax, she'd sit down on one of the chairs strewn around long enough for it to give way and send her falling to the floor. "Could we maybe look for better places for these!?" She asked no one in particular, warranting a confused look from Gale. "I think I'd have taken my chances at that other abandoned place we went to..."
Slowly standing back up and realizing that the other chairs weren't likely to be much better, she sighed and leaned against a wall. Dirty as it was, it was still better than nothing. It gave a chance for her to relax for a moment and extend an arm for Gale to perch on, wincing at the somewhat sharp talons from her Pidgeotto. "Ahh! Careful," she said, shouting from the pain and trying to keep her arm still despite it. She'd also start looking around a little, trying to take in what few sights a place like this might have.
For the most part, it was all pretty crummy. Apart from the chairs and tables, a lot of it could be summed up with layers upon layers of dust and cobwebs. Bits of food and discarded containers littered the tables and floor, to say nothing about the trashcans nearby and how much they reeked. It wasn't a place anyone would normally want to go to, but yet the Pokemon around were trying to make the best of it. How, she couldn't fathom, but the point remained. As if proving the case in point, a Litten could be seen slinking from around the corner of one of the trashcans, trying to stand against it to get something from within. Being as woefully short as it was, though, it wouldn't be seeing success anytime soon.
Having Gale get off her arm so she could move more easily, Amaranth cautiously walked over and knelt down once she was near the Litten. "Hey there...?" She asked, only to see it immediately come down, look at her, and cough out a fiery hairball. The Ember was enough to make her shout and back off, hearing the low meow to follow. It wasn't too happy with her presence, ready to defend itself if it needed to. Coughing out another Ember, Amaranth quickly stood up and had Gale come to her side.
"Gale, Gust!" She called at once, doubting that talking the Litten out of a fight would happen. Finding the two even more of a threat than they already appeared to be to it, Litten would respond in kind by leaping to scratch at Gale with Fury Swipes, sending both of them down to the floor. It'd keep up with the constant scratches until Gale flung herself back into the air with Quick Attack, flinging the cat away from her.
It'd manage to land on its feet without much trouble, shaking its head before firing a few Embers. Unlike Amaranth, the Pidgeotto would manage to dodge most of them. Still being pelted by a couple of them despite this, she'd manage to shake it off. The burns weren't too bad to be an issue, yet. "Careful... keep your distance, Gale. Air Slash!"
The slicing gale would force Litten to brace itself for a second, finally having enough and trying to rush in. Fire wreathed around its mouth, baring its fangs before trying to leap at Gale. The winds would quickly overwhelm it before it could get far, cutting the attempt short and sending it tumbling along the ground. Whatever these two were, they were proving to be too much of a threat for it to handle. It'd start to try and slink away in an effort to escape, when Amaranth saw a ball on the ground.
Another Nest Ball? Fair enough, she guessed. Picking it up and watching the Litten, she felt bad for it and wanted to make things up to it somehow. Nodding to herself, she threw the ball and decided to take a chance at trying to catch it.

Surprisingly enough, the ball would hit Litten before it could get too far, the cat finding itself inside before it knew it. It'd struggle for a while, making the ball wobble and shake. The struggles would soon wear it out, however, the ball stopping when it did and clicking when the capture went through. Just as before, the ball would vanish, only for the earlier one to reappear elsewhere in the Main Mall and release the Nincada that had been caught before. Motioning for Gale to follow, Amaranth would start making her way on out. Having used up the allotted balls, her time in the contest had come to an end.

Zone: Side Area B - Backroom Storage Pokemon used: Mimikyu
Odd entered the Safari Zone area, immediately noticing that it was an abandoned mall. "Huh...At least it's been re-purposed into a Pokemon habitat instead of being left to collapse..." He said to himself, slowly approaching the only new-looking thing in the complex, that being the registration desk. Which consisted of a foldable table and a registration book. Signing his name in the book and registering Celesta, his Mimikyu, as his Pokemon for this exploration, he noticed the crate of Safari Balls hidden behind the table. He accepted them when the attendant retrieved a few from it and quoted off the rules.
"And now, which part of the mall would you like access to? We have the main lobby, which allows access to most of the complex, the flooded clothing store in the basement, the fountain leaked through the floor when the pipes sprung a leak and it's really gross down there. Zero out of ten, would not recommend." The attendant listed off the areas, making sure to include their own commentary regarding the second area. "And lastly, we have the storage rooms, most of which are connected by the vendor access halls. Also gross but less than the store downstairs."
"I think I'll check the storage rooms. I feel like the Pokemon I'm most likely to be interested in hide in the dark and dank back there." Odd replied.
"Help yourself. Don't blame me if you catch your death from all the mold."
"I'll keep that in mind." Odd replied as the attendant opened a side door for him and allowed him in. Starting to walk the storage halls of the mall slowly, the sound of his own footsteps echoed loudly, reverberating through the halls like some ancient, ominous warning. "That's reassuring..." The Channeler said to himself, feeling his skin crawl, strangely enough, when his voice returned no echo despite his footfalls doing so without fail.
Jezebel comes across a Swirlix, not seeing a face and thinking it was good. She goes to pick it up. "Oh it looks like gotten candy. How has it survived this long and not spoiled?" She wondered picking it up. It starts to squirm. "OH my! It's a Pokemon! " she yelped putting down the Pokemon. "Well I guess I should be more careful in here."

It had been quite some time since Night had attended a safari contest and figured it would be good to give it another shot. You could never have too many pokemon, right? She'd heard there was a new species of Vulpix here and she was interested in seeing it. Besides, it was past time she took her Zorua, Eris, out for a few real battles. She'd had him training with her own pokemon for a while, but he needed to do battle with some pokemon who wouldn't hold back their attacks.
Since this was only meant to be a training exercise, Night didn't bother going too deep into the abandoned mall, preferring to stay in the main area instead.

Seeing that it was nothing more than a Mime Jr, Night chose to move on. Clowns gave her the creeps and she wasn't about to add one to her team.

An Abra? Again, Night wasn't too interested in adding one of those to her team, "Come Eris. Let's see what else we can find in here."
The small Zorua yipped and bounded after the hybrid.
