It took a while (and a lot of staring from a distance) before Kane went back around to the haystack game. It was starting to get a little irritating listening to the two bicker and be forced to find something precious (?!) in the haystack, but if he could get a coin out of it then why not...he figured. He'd always been rather skilled at ignoring those around him anyway, so he did go up to the game soon enough and made a face at the two that were still arguing at the same thing. A precious ring or something, still. He did feel bad for the one who seemed to have been the owner of that ring, so he didn't wait to get glared at again before reaching into the haystack and groping around for stuff. Unfortunately he only came back to them with another stick, which was swatted out of his hand for the third time that night.

Once it was handed to him he went to town (or did his best to go to town) on the walkers that popped out at him. There was a chance that he was really enjoying himself this time around given that he was smiling the entire time, and even more so when the gnome handed yet another gold coin for successfully hitting enough of the walkers. He wandered away with the slightest of jingles coming from his pocket; he was amassing quite a number of coins that night, and he was pretty pleased with himself about it.

The gnome must have said something to him (probably instructions) but he wasn't really listening; he took the bow and arrows and took his time for this round. His last game had pretty good results but he did concentrate quite a bit for his last and best shot, so maybe slower was better in this instance. His first shot still hit the outside, much to his annoyance, but the last two both hit the inner circle so he felt he redeemed himself somewhat. It wasn't as good as last time, but it also felt like it was a little less luck this time and more because he was actually getting better at the whole aiming thing. That's how he felt at least, particularly when he pocketed yet another gold coin that the gnome handed to him once he returned the bow.

The birds didn't seem to lessen in number; it kind of just seemed like whenever they scared one off, another one just came to takes its place. Still, it seemed like an easy enough coin to earn so he jumped and spooked another one into flying off (after yet another glare shot at him). He hurried off of the dance floor after being given his coin, though. He had a bad feeling that they'd be using him for target practice with unpleasantness from their kind. Hopefully not.

The first year (and not getting any younger despite still being in his first year) hurried off to the haystack and, ignoring the two bickering creeple again, just shoved his hand into the haystack and looked around for a minute or so. He didn't pull a wooden stick out this time, so he didn't apologize (because he was worried what they would swat at because he didn't even have a stick to show for his effort) and simply walked away.

By now Kane was happy to just grab the hammer from either one of the gnomes and get to playing the game, but the enthusiastic gnome between the two gave him a glare when he reached over without waiting for the instructions so he dropped his hands and half-listened to what the rules were. He already knew what they were--like the other gnome said, whack the stuff, win a prize. When the drawl was over he took the hammer and stood where he usually stood, weapon at the ready. This round only produced three hits, but he'd gotten that before and won a prize so he didn't really care. He handed the hammer over and waited a moment--the booth had gotten a bit lively while he was playing--and when one of the gnomes got back around to him they tossed him a coin and went back to manning their station. Kane, in the meantime, pocketed the coin and went on about his night. Maybe he should bring Maple down to play a game...
