SubonicXP Blizzard120 Freth perked up then looked back towards me. I looked back at her, a bit of a knowing glance for a split-second. I knew what she had in mind, a sentiment I had too. "Another way, huh? Sounds pretty nice, and we could go on our way across the city unabated at this rate and still make it to where we're heading to in time." I said. "Oui, mon truck, monsieur." The man said, pointing with his hedge clippers at a white truck in the distance. "There are several staff entries dotted around ze city so that we can tend to ze outer gardens. Security est very, how you say, chill? Tres easy for someone to sneak through so long as they are hidden, comprendre? Usually un ou deux guard there to confirm it is staff coming through." We looked over and saw the truck. "Yea, that should work great, sir. If you don't mind getting us through, that'd be great." I told him. "If you don't mind this at all at any rate."

"Très bien! Right this way then, rapidement." He said, doing a quick walk over to the white pickup truck, a stylized Gogoat logo on the side of it. "As indésirable as it may sound I ask the deux of you to get in ze bed and under ze tarp. Can't have you being seen be ze gardes, non?" He said, pointing to the tarp already covering the bed of the truck, underneath numerous gardening tools and a slumbering Gogoat.

"Got to say, not the way I expected this trip to go." Freth then commented. "Prefer to have a sky fight with whatever they got patrolling the city? For as all you know, there is Skarmory or whatever handful of a bird up there." I said. "Point taken."

Blizzard120 We followed the man back to his truck, taking note to it...and the cute looking Gogoat underneath just relaxing on the bed of the truck. "Eh, not the worst thing we've ever been in." "I just hope your Pokemon doesn't mind the sudden temporary company." Freth then commented. The two of us went on in and positioned ourselves on the bed of the truck. "Got to say, not the way I expected this trip to go." Freth then commented. "Prefer to have a sky fight with whatever they got patrolling the city? For as all you know, there is Skarmory or whatever handful of a bird up there." I said. "Point taken." It wasn't long after the tarp was situated to cover the pair up properly that the gardener got into the cab and fired up the engine, the vehicle taking off relatively smoothly as they drove off. It was but a five minute drive to the gate and that's where the truck would make a stop, though the engine still ran. Immediately the pair's hybrid senses would trigger, they didn't have to see to know there was at least one Flare grunt out there but for now the situation didn't seem dire. The Snagems would overhear some unintelligible talking along with some arguing, their senses informing them of heighten danger as they heard the sound of footsteps approaching. The next thing they heard was a man, clear as day. "Last chance, what's in here!?" The Flare grunt demanded to know but did not wait long before lifting up the tarp. "Gooo!" Moaned the Gogoat inside as it let loose a nasty fart the second the tarp was raised up, the Flare grunt jumping back in disgust. They could then hear the gardener saying something along the lines of 'I told you so'. It didn't take a Pokemon whisperer or something to realize that the Gogoat did that on purpose. Thanks? The grunt would just shoo him away, the gardener wasting no time in throwing the truck in drive and heading through the gate. After about another five minutes the truck would come to a stop again, the engine still running. They would hear the truck door slam and footsteps approach, the footsteps not tripping their senses. "All clear, monsieur and madam." The gardener said as he lifted the tarp up to reveal to Freth and Blizzard that they were now in a secluded alley way.

As we laid there, silent, trying to weather the somewhat uncomfortable ride, it seemed like we were in the clear. Only a brief discomfort compared to a full on assault of any sort. The two of us laid there next to the Gogoat, pretty much admiring the Pokemon. I was somewhat compelled to give it a couple of scratches behind the ears in affection. I mean, geez, with all of this, we were kind of having to share this space with it. The two of us perked up suddenly when the vehicle finally stopped. A minute went by...then another. The arguing was starting to happen. This was starting to go south. A unwelcome guest...a Flare grunt. It had to be. Nothing that Freth and I could quickly silence if it came to it. Perhaps two. Not too sure yet. I know at least one is arguing with the kind gardener that is leading us into this place. It started to get tense. Freth and I took out a Pokeball, getting at the ready and a free hand ready to pop a couple of Ice Beams. We waited for the right second. And only on that second. The look of shock then came over our face when that second arrived...and it was greeted by the most rancid of rips that I couldn't believe come from such a Pokemon. My eyes started to water, Freth ended up covering her whole beak, burying her face right into the floor of the truck, not that it helped us with that smell. That said, it did apparently severely deter the Flare grunt from looking any further as we both noticed. It wasn't long until we felt ourselves moving again. After a minute, Freth looked back at me, whispering. "That reminds me...when are you going to get Zangoose to ease up on the Orre Fried Seviper?""One step at a time..." I told her back. Another couple of minutes and the vehicle came to a stop once more. Another set of footsteps, but this time, it was the gardener. When the tarp was pulled back, we looked up and around. An alley. Freth managed to sit up, as did I, and we eventually got off the truck. "You know, you really got...-cough- got the partner here." she said, giving the Gogoat a couple scratches behind the ears now. "Either way, thanks for getting us in. Better that than deal with those guys. Quite an unsightly bunch, they are. Seriously...why bully anyone is beyond me." I then said.

"So if that way is Vert plaza...then...alright, I know where we're...at...back that way behind is is Verdant Avenue...which means our contact is.......this way. Come on." I said. "Got to say, I didn't expect your little status around her is getting us through some of this mess." "Neither did I. Then again, Sub may be right about something." I said. "I may be causing some sort of my own revolution without intending to. Think about it; before my first mission here, a hybrid was lower class than even a servant of some sort. Now? I gave all sorts, rather they be human or hybrid, some sort of glimmer of hope. I already fought two people of extremely high stature, an elite and the champion, and actually stood toe to toe on roughly equal footing. Sure, in both cases losses were pretty much assured in the end, but just the fact that I managed to even make them likes of them sweat made a good few around here to question their stature and gave them that kind of hope that change can very well happen for the better...instead of whatever Lysandre has in mind." "Just be careful you don't make this personal like Sub did." Freth said, narrowing her eyes. "If there's anything I am taking personal about all of this is how Lysandre showed he played everyone for fools the night the king got exiled. Not going to lie, that was a blow to pride in something I thought I was on top of." I told her. "Apart from that, its all straight and narrow here."

Not going to lie, that was a blow to pride in something I thought I was on top of." I told her. "Apart from that, its all straight and narrow here." As the pair walked into the city of Lumiose things seemed pretty normal. The sidewalks were packed with people paying little attention to each other, bright lights dotted the crowds even in daylight as people used their HoloCaster, and various 'haute' Pokemon could be seen strolling around with their trainers, a lot of them Furfrou. For a city that was essentially a fortress things seemed pretty lax, though both the hybrids would soon see why things moved so routinely, various Flare grunts standing at each of the intersections, keeping an eye on things. A nice red sports car with the Flare logo on the side even went by, a Flare grunt driving it while her radio blared, obviously trying to instill in the populace of what 'they could have' if they joined them. Though there was one elephant in the proverbial room for the pair and that is if some random gardener noticed Blizzard how long would it be before someone else did? And with these grunts around?

"Hold it..." I took notice to the streets, seeing the grunts in the cheap suits out and about. I don't know if its just me but it seems like more of them around nowadays in this region. I can't help but to have an uneasy feeling that they are about to make their grand move sometime soon. Regardless, its not something we need to get caught up in now. "...never a dull moment in the big city of Lumiose."
"I'm noticing." Freth said. "God, all this propagandist crap...and there's people who would very well believe that, too. So...what now?"
"...stick to the alleyways...we may have to take the long way around."
"You do realize those alleys are a proverbial maze, right?" she said.
"Keep the SNAG on hand. We'll find our way around. We're going to be a little late getting to our destination. Come on." I said, walking off with Freth following. If anyone did come and question us, namely those Flare Grunts, they won't be found for hours in these passages.

What the pair would mostly encounter were the odd Dedenne which scurried away as they approached. Outside of that they would happen upon a pair of punks doing Arceus knows what, the pair hiding what they were doing as they huddled up together and scowled at the hybrid as they went by. Cafe Cyclone was located here too, of which a punk girl was just walking out of as Freth and Blizzard approached the side of the door. "Well excusez-moi!" The punk cackled as she almost bumped into the hybrids. "Don't see too many of your kind around here. Looking to party?" She asked them both, eying them up. "...got any blé? Do whatever you want for a mille note."

The punk girl huffed as the pair walked off, shouting out at them as they walked away, something about how they would regret it. Whatever. Eventually the pair would make it to Vert Plaza, the signature green obelisk standing tall at the center of the place. Fortunately there was no one else around to bother them.

"Frankly? I wouldn't put it past anyone at this point. All the more reason to take care of what we need to take care of and get out. Where are we at?" Freth showed me her SNAG with our location on the map. "We're close..." I then took out the HoloCaster once again to call the journalist. Once the signal would finally connect I ended up speaking up. "Hey there, we're almost there to you. I assume your place got a back entrance, right?"

"Come on...we got to go through this way like it or not..." I said, taking a look about once we got to the main street in question. Taking notice to seeing if there were any Flare grunts about. "Hmm...coast seems clear at the moment other than the usual foot traffic." "Good as it gets I guess...come on." I said, making my way off across the street.
