I miss how Gaia was before. It was easier to make friends. Now a days it just drama. And seems like some Gaians really feed off it. A lot bullying happens, i miss when internet was more for the nerds, instead of guys and gals that would bully you in high school. I think there is too many rules and even then people still get away with breaking the rules. It feels like only the cool kids can.

Oh man let's see... I miss when:

- Games like slots and blackjack had lots of people to talk to while you played

- Prize & Joy rewards felt worth it for playing those above games

- Water balloons, squirt guns, etc in Towns 1

- The Gambino story line existed

- Events were simple and usually just trick or treating in towns/shops

- (as many above me said) TekTek was a thing

- Being cool was wearing buck teeth, fairy wings, grass skirt, cig and baby seal slippers

- Trolls were harder to come by xD


I would have thought my current avi was THE COOLEST back in '04.

...I still put buck teeth on everything.

TekTek was the best. I miss it as well. I liked the quest bars you could make that would track your progress to an expensive item.

I also miss spending time in the Booty Grab forums. That's how I used to make the majority of my gold.

this is extremely big so its going to go into a spoiler, my homies put up a screenshot and well about 1/2 don't work anymore but the old links to games and other stuff but i remember this but i don't exactly remember when i started tbh sad

jason aka tekton was quite rude to many of us mexican people on recolor.me and several of us got a perma ban even after he said that would never happen. bottom line i dont miss tekton or jason or he who shall not be spoken of, depending on what people called him
the site TEKTEK wasnt so bad the problems started when he created his own version of gaia if he would just drop his website and bring back tektek i would be happy, it would eliminate the offsite advertising issue and bring back something valuable

i cant put my finger on exactly what the real diff was but it had a feeling of community and family back in 07 - 11 , today not so much. i did bring in some old screenshots if you wanna remember that feeling
more alive, more community , more heart if you ask me heart dont get me wrong its still a good site just things have changed

i follow the golden rule in life of if you cant say anything nice... but ill just say this once you get to know the rl guy, well....
but this isn't about tekton its about his missing valuable site which i know alot of users still want back. i used to miss the no quest bar but that got fixed with alot of help from users on gaia and well a special post in another guild. still i know that most wanted the site for avi dress up and well gaia did try to help but still i know it falls short of tektons site and features.
maybe lanzer could reach out to him and try to bring it back heart i know alot still miss it regardless of whatever the real reason was

The part about tektek I miss is when they put in the feature to share your invo with others to dress you up.

I have a really large invo. I don't even know what I have. I liked being able to just have other people create my avis for me with my stuff.
