The Starmie, now propped up by Ryan, would give off a soft and pathetic sounding 'beeping' noise, typical of Starmie but this particular one sounded pained. Its gem core would flash in sequence with the beeps it made, the glow as feeble as its voice. Nothing else seemed off about it other than apparently being very exhausted, unlike Kabutops it didn't appear to have been in any recent battles, instead its exhaustion was the result of something else.
Kabutops on the other than looked a little more rough but thanks to Lykas was back on its feet, however exhausted and unable to stand up straight and thus relied on keeping its self balanced with a scythe braced against the coral floor. "Eimaanie botavi." The ancient Pokemon muttered, but not at Lykas, instead it was looking in Ryan's direction, or rather at Starmie. If Lykas paid close enough attention he might think he understood one of those words, 'botavi' sounding a lot like the Gyaanish word for 'show'. Was Kabutops speaking an even older dialect of Gyaanish? And apparently it wants Starmie to show something?
Starmie would respond to Kabutop's words with a beep louder than the others and its gem would light up bright as it summoned forth what little strength it had left. The Mysterious Pokemon would conjure up a Light Screen in front of it, the pink and rectangular construct floating in the air between it and Ryan. It would follow up the Light Screen by given off a rapidly serious of beeps, and while for a few seconds it was a mystery as to why the Snagems would soon find out as the Light Screen began to ripple. Starmie would begin to 'broadcast' its mysterious radio waves onto the Light Screen and much like how old analog televisions worked the Light Screen would begin to show images. Truly proof of how well trained this Starmie was.
Just like a television the Light Screen would play a scene for both Ryan and Lykas. They would witness on the screen Varuna himself, along with Kabutops, fighting off several Ground type Pokemon such as Sandslash and Gliscor as well as what appeared to be Ground Channelers wielding staffs as they summoned forth streams of sand to attack with. The ground they fought on was sand, clearly, which gave the Channelers the advantage but from what Ryan and Lykas could tell they weren't on the ground, they were fighting on top of some sort of flying vessel. The fight would go on for awhile before Varuna slipped up and was trapped by the sand constructs of three Channelers, A fourth one and its Golurk stomped forth as they seemed to prepare to finish Varuna off, who was clearly on his last legs. Kabutops could be seen Aqua Jetting straight for the Golurk only to get smacked to the side. The Master appeared hopeless until something caught his attention as he quickly looked to the sky which then began to rain. He would smile and turned to face the source of the images in the distance.
The source of the images would move finally as it appeared to get closer to Varuna, the Vaporeon hybrid looking right at the source which made it look like he was staring at Ryan and Lykas. The images had no sound to them so the pair was unable to discern what Varuna had said to the source of the images, only that the entire point of view began to spin around wildly until it arrived at Kabutop's side, the ancient Pokemon standing up and getting behind the source of the images before the point of view began to spin once again, the Snagems. The last thing they would see was the view change to nothing but clouds and sky as the source of the images launched its self off of whatever vessel it was on. The source would plummet for awhile until it splashed into the ocean, causing the Light Screen to shatter its self, thus ending the show.
Both Ryan and Lykas could easily piece together whose point of view they just witnessed; Starmie's. Another thing they could discern was that what they saw took place just moments before Starmie came crashing from the sky. If that were the case then Varuna was still up in the sky, on some sort of flying vessel, fighting for his life. He had heard the call of his students apparently and sent his Pokemon down to them, perhaps as a plea for help. Kabutops was probably still running on adrenaline and thus probably didn't intend to attack them, mistaking them for enemies as well. Either way both Starmie and Kabutops were spent, they were no longer any use to anyone. However their job was done, it was now up to Lykas and Ryan.

Lykas struggled for a moment when Kabutops spoke. He understood one of those words. But how? As far as he knew, he had never actually learned any of the ancient language used by the Kreek or the Gyaan. Maybe it that that thing some people called "genetic memory"? Regardless of how he knew what was being said there, he turned his attention to Starmie.
"I think it has something to show us." He'd tell Ryan only a moment before the starfish began to project it's memories upon the Light Screen.
Once the screen shattered, he'd look upward. "I'm pretty sure Varuna's figured out how to sail on clouds..." He'd announce, confused slightly. "As crazy as it sounds... That's the only thing that makes sense. Starmie fell from the sky and if what it just showed us is anything to go on, Varuna wasn't far from us when we rang the bells." Looking back to the two Pokemon, he'd consider very briefly the possibility of him and Ryan snagging them both to keep them safe and let them rest. But, regardles of Varuna's crimes, his Pokemon weren't guilty of them and they would be far too loyal to put them through the heartache of losing him.
"What are the odds you've got a Flying-type? My best chance is to use my Mantine and his Twister to get into the air." He admitted. "Since Furor can't actually fly, she isn't very useful here."

Ryan had been slightly startled when the Starmie started up its visual effect but settled back down to watch.
Once it was over, Ryan would pat the Starmie on one of its arms. "Rest. You have done enough. Leave Varuna to us." he says to the pokemon.
Ryan then turns to Lykas. "Not on me, unfortunately. We are going to have to make a detour to Pacifidlog Town if we are going to get airborne. I think both of us were more prepared for deepsea combat rather than aerial." Ryan remarks as he walks over to the Hybrid. "So a quick teleport might be in order," he adds.

"Well either of you better think of something fast. I managed to hack into a satellite owned by the Mossdeep Space Center and detected the object which Varuna should be on and it's moving, fast. It's heading out towards the ocean." GRAY spoke up from Ryan and Lykas' SNAGs suddenly.

Lykas would recall Nuregami at this point, giving Ryan a chance to recall his own Pokemon, before releasing Mykel. "I need you to teleport us to a specific point, as accurately as possible." He told the Gardevoir. Willfully sharing his thoughts with the Psychic-Type, he awaited the expected answer.
"But boss, that's really dangerous!"[/i surprised ffoaqix:1/] Mykel yelped, mentally, after analyzing his trainer's mind for a moment.
"I have a plan." He assured the Fairy before giving him a knowing nod. It was something he rarely had to do due to the bond with his partner but it was always reassuring for the Pokemon to see it. Mykel nodded and, after ensuring that Ryan was prepared, he pulled both the trainers through space and time with him, warping them almost straight up into the clouds, as high as he felt safe doing. Before he could do anything else, Lykas was in motion.
The hybrid recalled his Embrace Pokemon and threw out another Ball, releasing his Mantine, Cascade. "Tailwind, then use Twister to push us in that direction!" He told the ray. Cascade nodded as his fins spread out and caught the air beneath them. As he did, he summoned up a mighty wind at their backs, pushing them forward, toward the direction Lykas had dictated. Immediately after, he flipped his ribbon-like tail fin about a few times and sent a draconian whirlwind flying behind him, propelling them all forward just as Lykas wound his ponytails around Ryan to secure him to his own body and grabbed onto the Kite Pokemon.
This series of actions would result in the two trainers essentially sailing through the clouds in a similar manner to Varuna. At least at the speed they were moving, they should be capable of catching up to his ship before they reached terminal velocity. Plus, Cascade could simply change the direction of his Twister to slow theieeded.
"Sorry for the surprise but GRAY made a good point. No time to wait and see." He finally apologized to the Channeler strapped to his back like a toddler in a carrier. "Modern problems, solutions and all that." Hopefully Varuna's ship would come into view soon so they could help.

As Lykas said, it was the quickest solution to their problem. "This stays between us, Lykas. Not a word to the others. Now, let's take care of our business." Ryan would say sternly as he resigned himself to his fate at the moment.

The ship would indeed soon come into view as Lykas' plan went off without a hitch, his master would certainly be proud of the skill he had just shown. With the ship in sight and getting closer by the second they could see exactly how it was 'flying'; as mass of sand gathered beneath it and around the hull, held aloft by some unseen force, clearly the work of powerful Ground Channelers. It wasn't that the ship was moving but the ground beneath it, perhaps snatched up as it sailed across the ocean, the ocean floor taken up with it.
As they came in just yards away from the ship they were spotted by a Gliscor gliding around above the ship as a lookout. Immediately the scorpion-bat would let out a shrieking cry as it alerted the rest of the ship. The pair could see their enemies moving to act however Varuna was alerted as well. Taking note of the two above their Master found in himself a burst of power as he conjured a massive Surf from nowhere, forcing the four Channelers he faced to go on the defense and occupy them for now. That did leave another Ground Channeler free though; the one who owned the Gliscor.
The Fang Scorpion Pokemon would swoop down towards the ship's crows nest, grabbing its Channeling trainer with its tail and using its momentum would sling the assassin at the oncoming Hybrid and Water Channeler. As the unnamed Ground Channeler hurtled towards them he released another Pokemon; a Drilbur which immediately hugged against him. The two would then begin to rotate violently as he summoned forth their Channeling bond, sand from the ship below collecting around them quickly as the two soon took on the form of a large spiraling drill made of sand. As the sand drill closed in on them it would split into two just moments away, the two smaller drills going in different directions before returning towards Lykas and Ryan from different sides as they aimed to skewer them between.

"Use your Water Wall!" Lykas called to Ryan over the rushing wind, upon seeing the Ground Channeler coming toward them. While there wasn't much the two of them could do directly until they reached the ship, they could stop this attack in it's tracks before it could hit them. As soon as Ryan's Water Wall went up, Lykas would use Icy Wind, blowing a frigid gale across the wall of liquid. It wouldn't freeze completely solid, his attack unable to produce wind that cold, but it would turn into an icy sludge that would slow down their attackers for a moment or two. He had a plan to follow up this defense but doing so would require Ryan to not have any thoughts of his own in that regard and a willingness to cooperate with his insanity. ~I really hope he's got a better plan...~ The hybrid thought to himself. His own might kill him of it didn't work, right.

"Lykas, do something that will boost us towards the ship!" Ryan shouts as he produces easily the longest Medusa Whip ever as he latches onto the mast of the ship. It was taxing him heavily, but it was better than the long fall down at this point.

The Drilbur and Channeler paired 'drill' would attempt to grind against the icy sludge of a Lapiz Defense however it bogged them down heavily, causing the two to lose their rotation and begin to fall separate. The Ground Channeler would recall his Pokemon in midair as he began to fall, his Gliscor would dive to save his trainer however the Channeler had other ideas as he dropped another Pokeball, this one releasing a pink Gastrodon. The Gastrodon would fall right onto the Medusa Whip Ryan created and with some sort of Channeling ability the length of the whip began to turn to mud, rapidly spreading towards Ryan. The Channeler would land on his Gastrodon and with the same ability began to ride the slug like a surf board, commanding the mud its self to carry him up towards Ryan and Lykas at a rapid pace. As he made his way towards them he spoke a word in some foreign language, his Gliscor above responding by firing a spray of Poison Sting at them, the needles clearly serving more as a distraction than anything.

Excellent! Ryan did have a better plan than Lykas' own. So the hybrid changed his plan entirely. As their assailants lost power and began to fall away, he spoke. "Keep Ryan safe and keep heading toward the ship, Cascade." He told his Mantine. "And I'm sorry in advance for the violation." He apologized to Ryan as he leaped into the air, liquefying his body via Acid Armor, and dove into the Channeler's Medusa Whip. Ryan would likely feel the foreign energy invading his own for a few moments as Lykas raced along the length of the watery construct until he reached the edge of the mud that was encroaching upon Ryan at it's other end. Jumping out of the Medusa Whip with more velocity than he'd had when he jumped in, hands already glowing bright green as he ripped a series of orbs of energy from the Gastrodon with Giga Drain. "Not today!" He cried out as he flipped in mid air and landed on the Channeler's shoulders, coiling his ponytails around their shoulders as a red glow began to emanate from them. Power Whip was a hell of a thing if left unchecked and he would learn that quickly as the tentacles began to coil ever tighter. "One chance to live." Lykas warned from his perch, crouching on the man's shoulders so he could speak into his ear threateningly.

Ryan was not happy with everyone deciding to use his Medusa Whip as a tightrope!
But once he saw that Lykas had the channeler taken care of he would drop it, and then throw up a Lapis Defense to avoid the incoming poison sting.
Once he was sure he had nullified that, he would sweep the Lapis Defense up into an Aqua Sniper shot, one that was thin but highly concentrated and then fires it at the Gliscor. It may not take it out, but it would sting badly if he took a direct hit.
Ryan then calls out Undine, his Brionne, catching her in his arms.
"Undine! Icy Wind!" Ryan orders. Undine nods and buffets the Gliscor with a chlling wind.

Gastrodon grunted in pain as Lykas ripped some of its life force out of it with Giga Drain, rendering it incapable in that moment to stop the hybrid from pouncing on its trainer. As Lykas wrapped his tentacles around the Channeler the man flailed around attempting to get the jellyfish man off of him but it was no use, the tentacles were too tight. By this time Gastrodon recollected its self but was unsure of what it could do for its trainer without hurting him. Gliscor was in a better position to help and dived down to do just that, however that was Ryan clipped its right wind with an Aqua Sniper shot causing it to flip around a bit in air as it lost control of its glide. Just as it was starting to correct its self Brionne came out and hit it with a Icy Wind, sending it sailing away in the opposite direction and towards the ocean below, it wouldn't be bothering them for awhile. "Geh...I g-give." The Channeler strained to say. "Y-you're...too...too...laaate."

"What do you mean "too late?" That traitorous lair was our responsibility and ours alone as the two students who survived his lethal tactics and as true descendants to the title of Water Grand Master as last representatives of both Kreek and Gyaan. No harm had better have come to Varuna or else you will match his fate." Ryan growls at the enemy channeler.

Lykas smirked as the Gliscor went down and the Channeler admitted defeat. "We'll be the judges of that." He stated simply. "Take us to Varuna. We've got our own agenda with him and you lot aren't stopping us." He ordered, carefully maintaining his perch on the offender's shoulders. If he were forced to do so, he would kick them and their Gastrodon into the sea so far below them without hesitation.
"My friend and I reserve the right to try Varuna for his crimes before anyone else. It's our people who were erased by his actions and it's us who've survived through all his tricks." He added to Ryan's threat.
