Yugi beats Panic at his own game and then wins back Mai's star chips. Now Yugi and our heroes are ready to face their next challenge.

Episode 16 of 224

Kaiba lands in a helicopter on Duelist Kingdom Island where he and Joey duel testing out Kaiba's new system. Joey loses terribly and Kaiba humiliates him before moving on to Pegasus's castle.

Episode 17 of 224

Joey was still sore about Kaiba humiliating him and ended up wandering off only to find himself forced to duel Bonz, who is a minion of Bandit Keith the intercontinental runner up of the American tournament. Joey was winning until Bonz used call of the haunted and brought back the destroyed monsters as zombies.

Episode 18 of 224

Joey ends up beating Bonz by using the Shield and Sword Spell card, but Bandit Keith has his cronies use a giant boulder to block the entrance to the cave, thus trapping our heroes and he steals the star chips from his cronies to boot thus having enough star chips to get into the castle. Bandit Keith is a big cheat.

Episode 19 of 224

Our heroes make their way out of the cave and straight to another eliminator duel where Joey and Yugi must face the Paradox brothers to win their freedom.

Episode 20 of 224

The duel between the Paradox brothers and our heroes continues while Kaiba is getting even closer to finding his brother. Pegasus is planning something, we just don't know what yet.

Episode 21 of 224

Our heroes beat the paradox brothers and they have chosen a door too. Meanwhile Pegasus has locked Mokuba's soul within a card in order to get Kaiba to duel Yugi so that Kaiba can face Pegasus in a duel.

Episode 22 of 224

Our heroes make it out of the labyrinth okay and then they meet up with Kaiba who is blocking their path. Kaiba challenges Yugi and claims to have a reason to believe in the heart of the cards. Yugi accepts the duel.

Episode 23 of 224

The duel continues, and so far, Kaiba is making good on his promise. He has backed Yugi into a corner.

Episode 24 of 224

Having spared Kaiba's life, Yugi loses the duel and swears he will never duel again for fear of what the spirit inside him might do to achieve a victory.

Episode 25 of 224

Tea battles Mai to show Yugi that giving up is not the answer to his problems and so, seeing this Yugi decides that he will duel again and face his problems head on instead of running from them.

Episode 26 of 224

Our heroes enter the castle just in time to watch Seto face off against Pegasus. Pegasus uses his millennium eye to cheat without Kaiba knowing.

Episode 27 of 224

Pegasus beats Seto in their duel and traps his soul within a card. Yugi was fed up with what Pegasus has done and vows to face him and defeat him once and for all.

Episode 28 of 224

After a feast and finding out who will face who in the semi finals, Tea, Tristan and Bakura try to find out how Pegasus was cheating, but was still unaware that it was the millennium eye as the source of his dishonor. Bakura makes it all seem like a dream to the three after they were caught by Pegasus. Meanwhile Yugi was told by the soul of Solomon to harness the power of the millennium puzzle if he is to beat Pegasus.

Episode 29 of 224

Yugi, still afraid of his spirit tries to battle Mai, but Mai can see that he is holding back and is trying to help. The spirit within the puzzle is trying hard to convince Yugi that he is not a bad guy and that he wants to help.
