A satisfying click let her know that the Omanye had been captured, and although she wanted to keep the Phantump, since she really liked the fact that it was a Ghost-type, she knew that the Omanyte was a little more rare, she decided to release the Phantump. Taking the Level Ball that held the Phantump, she pressed the middle button, activating the release mechanism and watching as the Grass/Ghost-type gave her a nod before disappearing into the distance. Satisfied with this, she picked up the Dive Ball containing the Omanyte and kept going, wondering what she'd find next.

Clare and Visage would find themselves walking around the shore of the cold but somehow not frozen lake before they knew it. With Visage tucked into their coat, Clare would spend a bit of time exploring the immediate area but nothing in particular would catch their attention. They had caught something else's attention, though. An Indeedee nearby seemed intrigued by the pair enough to come poking out of the grasses enough to investigate.
Clare, however, would notice the Pokemon and immediately moved closer to check it out the same as it had done to her. "You're a curious little thing aren't you?" They'd ask as the hybrid and Pokemon circled one another. Indeedee nodded and bowed carefully, keeping it's eyes on Clare as it did. After a moment, it would wander off, gleaning from their mind that Clare had no use, at the moment, of a personal servant. At least not the kind it would have preferred to be.
"Hm... Strange fellow but I suppose I shouldn't be upset at not fighting something I'd rather not for the moment." Clare mused to Visage as they turned on their heel and began to walk off in order to find other wildlife to learn a bit about.

"Oh, you're a mean little thing!" Clare exclaimed as a Basculin in the lake splashed water at them, cackling gleefully as they stamped their feet and attempted to shake the water off. Basculin gnashed it's teeth menacingly at them, causing them to recoil slightly before turning and swimming away. That would teach them a lesson about invading someone's personal space, the fish thought, diving beneath the waves.

In spite of Clare's experience with the Basculin, they'd find themself approached by another Indeedee, this one's horns facing the opposite direction from the last one. They'd recognize it as the same Pokemon mostly because of it's coloration and the fact that it seemed insistent on assisting them. It wouldn't have much to offer save for a wad of wool it appeared to have gathered from somewhere. It suggested that Clare use it to dry themself of the water Basculin had splashed on them before they got sick so they did, offering the soaked wool back to Indeedee afterward with a word of thanks.
After a few more minutes of wandering, Clare would stop under a nearby tree and gathered a few branches from underneath, stacking them up and pulling Visage from within their coat. "Think you can use that little sparky trick you did earlier on this wood to get a fire going?" They asked the diminutive dragon spirit. Visage nodded and used Thunder Wave on the pile of sticks as it was asked, causing them to ignite in short order. "Let's sit and warm up for a bit." Clare suggested afterward, grabbing some bits of tall grass from nearby and bunching them up to make a dry-ish seat atop the snow on the ground.

With Clare and Visage sitting by the fire to warm themselves up, they were greeted by their Indeedee friend once again. The pair watched as it wrung the water from the wool it had given Clare to dry off with and then came to sit by the fire with them, comfortable on the cold ground as it laid the wool by the fire on it's own to dry fully. "Well it seems we've made a friend." Clare decided aloud to Visage, smiling softly at the Emotion Pokemon sitting with them. For the moment, however, no one said anything else and no one moved, simply enjoying the peaceful crackling of the fire.

Clare would be snapped back to their sense of reason when a splash of water came out of nowhere to douse the fire they had been enjoying. "Hey! That was mean!" They exclaimed, jumping to their feet. As they approached the source of the water, it would be discovered to be a Dewpider. "You're an odd little alien, aren't you?" They'd end up asking, their annoyance disrupted by the curious creature that had interrupted their calm and, they noticed now, sent Indeedee scurrying off into the wilderness once again. They almost wanted to send this creature on a trip to somewhere it wouldn't come back from but after a moment, they decided it wasn't worth it. Visage wasn't very strong so they wanted to keep it from fighting unless they really wanted to catch whatever they had found and this mean thing certainly wasn't inspiring a desire to have it around for long.

With Visage tucked back into coat to stay warm and Dewpider scurrying back toward the water, Clare wouldn't even notice as a Gossifleur landed on their hat and enjoyed a free ride for a bit before a gust of wind picked it up and carried it away. They would notice it as it flew by the breeze, however, and would be rather pleased to see how pretty it was.

Clare had been exploring a bit near the outer perimeter of the lake when they found a cave leading toward the nearby sea. They wouldn't explore much deeper than the mouth of the cave, however, upon stepping on and immediately regretting stepping on, a Ferroseed. The Thorn Seed Pokemon's spikes were enough to hurt their feet and cause them to jump and stumble backward, hopping on one foot as they clutched at the sole of the injured one. Upon losing their balance, however, they'd find Visage darting out of their coat with Quick Attack to position itself behind them and pushing them back to their feet, also using a weak jolt of Thunder Wave on the injure foot to numb the pain for a little while. "Thank you." They'd pet the little dragon spirit's head affectionately as they walked off, not bothering with the Ferroseed any further. Anything that could hurt them that easily wasn't something they wanted to be bothered with for now.

Spotting another Gossifleur as it drifted by, Clare would reach out to catch this one smelling the Sweet Scent it released in their hand for a moment before releasing it to continue on it's way. This world was certainly full of as many gentle creatures as aggressive ones, they were noticing. As well as the odd inoffensive passive ones. For the now, though, they would continue exploring the lakeshore and it's surrounding areas in search of something that might catch their eye as a new friend Visage could battle with.

Now aware of such threats as Ferroseed, Clare was being mindful of their steps and managed to avoid waking a sleeping one by simply hopping over it and continued on the pay they had chosen to follow for the moment. They'd discovered some rather unusual tracks and was busily following them in search of what had left them.

Clare didn't even spot the almost-invisibly-small insect stowing away on coat. Fortunately, it seemed, Visage had sensed the small amount of energy it was giving off and vanished from within Clare's coat only to reappear with a sudden burst of Ghost energy and a surprising cry right in the Joltik's face, startling it and causing it to fall off the coat. Unfortunately, it also startled Clare slightly, causing them to misstep and land their foot right on top of the momentarily stunned insect. It was knocked out cold in an instant by the hybrid's weight landing on it. "Poor thing... I didn't mean to hurt you..." Clare bemoaned gently, picking the slightly flattened Electric-type from the snow and setting it on a nearby shrub to recover.

"Oh... You're an adorable little thing, aren't you?" Clare pointed out as they approached something small and childlike. It looked like a little girl with a small, pointed hat. Clare's heart filled with a strange sense of joy at the sight of this little creature and they considered sending Visage to battle it, recalling it being the custom of catching Pokemon after battling and weakening them. Unfortunately, the Hatenna sensed the strength of their emotions as quickly as they welled up and it dashed away, searching for a place to hide from them. "Oh... Alright, then..." The joy was shattered as quickly as it formed, sadness taking it's place in the moment.

It didn't take long at all for Clare to find Hatenna again, however and they approached it with care, using their new SNAG to scan it first and discovering it had been their emotional surge that had frightened it away the last time they'd seen one another. "I'm sorry." they apologized to the small Pokemon with a polite curtsy. "I'm new to the world and I got a bit too excited to see such a cutie out here in the wilds. Would you be my friend?" They asked of Hatenna. The small Psychic-type peeked out of the small snow cave it had hidden itself inside of, giving the hybrid a once over and considering the proposition before walking out.
"Tenna..." It stated calmly, it's voice a soft monotone.
"Oh... No... I'm not a girl, exactly." They apologized, offering a hand to the small Pokemon. "My name is Clare. I look like a girl but I guess I'm what people in this world would call 'genderless'?" They tried to explain. "I haven't the words for it, I'm afraid. It's fairly normal where I come from, I think. I don't remember it being unusual, at least." They laughed gently at that, a small pang of sadness following it. Hatenna recoiled slightly, stepping backward and preparing to run once more. "Oh, no. Please don't run. It's just that I don't actually have any solid memories of home. I know it's a different world from this one but I only have fragmented memories and nothing concrete... It makes me a bit sad sometimes, is all, but I'm alive and I'm here and I'm trying my best to make the best of it."
"Hat...tenna?" Hatenna asked, pushing through it's urge to run.
"Yes, I suppose it's hard to feel too strongly about much without any solid memories to make me feel anything in particular." Clare agreed. "Please... I'd quite enjoy the company if you'd walk with Visage and I? Not too much, though." They smiled, being sure not to let the joy swell too much.
Hatenna nodded, offering a somber smile of it's own and approaching closer.

The poor Hatenna would walk with Clare for a while, the two conversing back and forth as they did until, out of nowhere, Hatenna bristled and headed for the hills, running as quickly as possible while warning Clare of the "aggression" it sensed. Clare was confused at first but the answer would come quickly when a small bundle of rage attacked them from behind, knocking them flat on their face in the snow and launching Visage out of their coat. The Tackle wouldn't do much damage to them but it would leave them rather miffed for a moment. "Visage... This one deserves a bit more direct attention than the ones we've seen out here so far..."
The little Dragon spirit nodded in agreement and, before Clare could issue an order, it had used Quick Attack to dash in and knock Tyrunt back and away from Clare. The Royal Heir Pokemon let out a Charming growl as it eyed the Dreepy up and down, though it did appear a bit surprised when Visage had no visible reaction to the attempt and lowering it's offense. "Visage... use...um..." Scanning the Dreepy with their SNAG again to obtain it's data, Clare would have to look at it's moves again before attempting to issue an order once more. "Use Quick Attack!" They would direct after a moment, watching as the Lingering Pokemon raced across the snow, leaving a trail of white energy behind it.
Tyrunt would attempt to Tackle Visage, aiming to interrupt the fast-moving spirit's attack. It would be surprised yet again when it was knocked for a looped by the head-on collision of the pair yet Dreepy was unaffected once more. Without giving the Dreepy a chance to attack again, Tyrunt slammed it's head into the ground, grabbing a mouthful of rocks it broke loose and threw them into the air in an improvised Rock Throw.
Clare wouldn't have the chance to call for an attack at first as Visage used Double Team to evade the rocks. Weak as it was, it knew how to avoid attacks so far. "Good job, Visage! Now use Astonish!" Clare directed their partner, watching the spirit vanish for a moment before it popped back into existince right in Tyrunt's face. With a loud shout and a surge of Ghost energy, Visage caused Tyrunt to momentarily flinch in shock. "Great! Now use Bite!" The small spirit's tiny reptilian beak wasn't really designed for much biting but it tried it's best, opening up and biting down on Tyrunt's tail. The Royal Heir Pokemon Whipped it's Tail about wildly, looking more adorable than it likely though but it ended up freeing it's appendage from Visage in spite of it's lack of effect otherwise. Tyrunt growled low in it's throat once again as it dug deep into itself and summoned forth an ancient, primal power. Infusing the stone around it with a rainbow aura, it lifted small pebbles off the ground and smashed them together into a large chunk of stone infused with Ancient Power sending it careening through the air toward Visage.
"Visage, use Disable!" Clared called out. The Lingering Pokemon nodded and it's eyes glowed a brilliant blue for a moment as it used what little psionic power it's supernatural existence afforded it to suspend the incoming stone in place, halting it's momentum and dropping it harmlessly to the ground. Tyrunt let out a tiny roar of indignation, Biting the halted stone and throwing the chunks it's Strong Jaws removed at Visage in anger. Visage once again used Double Team to evade the attack, succeeding at first until it became apparent than Tyrunt was faster than it had been before, the Thrown Rocks coming faster and harder to dodge until the Dreepy was finally knocked to the ground by a larg-ish one. "Visage! Are you alright?" The little Pokemon nodded and shook it's off as it floated back into the air. "Use Astonish again!" Clare called out, seeing that Tyrunt wasn't down and out yet.
Visage nodded and slipped out of sight right before Tyrunt's eyes again. The tiny T-rex would frantically look around in search of it's quarry. It would take a few moments of looking before it spotted Visage again, though it didn't register at first, doing a double take to confirm only to be jump-scared by the Dreepy's sudden shout and a weak burst of Ghost energy to the face again. The momentary fright caused it to flinch once more. "Thunder Wave!" The weak electrical pulse surging between Visage's small talons wouldn't travel far to hit Tyrunt but the Royal Heir Pokemon's paralysis was the least of it's worries. The electrical energy collected in it's maw and when it opened it's mouth to bite down in retaliation, it ended up with an unexpected Thunder Fang that bit down on Visage full-bodied and sent the electricity surging through it as well.
Now both ancient creatures suffered from the ravages of paralysis but one was prepared. "Visage. Use Facade!" Visage laid on the ground, twitching and harmless, looking like it was officially an easy meal for the hungry T-rex Pokemon. As Tyrunt approached, maw dripping with hunger, it would find this meal to not be as easy as it was expecting. Visage waited until the last possible moment as it gathered the lingering electrical energy in it's body into one tiny claw. When Tyrunt came in to finish the hunt and take a bite for dinner, the Dreepy's claw connected with it's lower jaw and jacked the poor thing clear off the ground, sending it sprawling a few feet away, twitching as the Thunder Wave from earlier truly sunk in.
Clare decided this was the Pokemon they wanted to catch at this point. It was persistent and clearly strong and if they had any hope of getting home, they would need strong partners. Taking out one of the Safari Balls they'd been given, they threw it with careful aim, hoping it would be enough. The Ball would shake twice... three times... and then a soft "ping" and the flash from the button on it's front signaled success..

Much to Sub's disappointment the device would pop back open in a show of shadowy energy and one very angry looking Galarian Zigzagoon appearing from the darkness running straight for Hemlock, the creature ramming into the Weed Pokemon with a Tackle, the Oddish bracing its self and skidding backwards, leaving tracks in the snow as it remained firm.
Not wasting another second, and hoping to get his target back into a ball as quick as possible, Sub issued another command. "Hemlock! Acid!" The Dark One ordered.
Hemlock would respond by delivering a kick to the furball's nose, causing it to stumble backwards in shock and pain. With a little more distance gained between them the Oddish would rustle its blades of grass and from them came a liquid spray of Acid to drench the Zigzagoon. As soon as the Acid hit the Pokemon it let out a pained yelp and began running around in circles for a bit before deciding to roll around in the snow to try and get the Acid off of its fur.
With the Pokemon on its back Sub took the chance to chuck another Dusk Ball at it. The device would bounce off the Zigzagoon's stomch before popping open and converting the Pokemon into energy before sucking it up into its confines and snapping shut. The ball would hit the ground shaking as its occupant struggled to be free.
