Thorne had been wandering around the temple with his puppy in tow. But now he had found the large gathering place where there were others hanging out. This must have been the place where his father wanted them all to be. He had thought about not coming. Long and hard he did. Why now? What had changed that the old man wanted them all here. And with someone else’s family too. That seemed kinda….odd. He turned black eyes uponn his brother as he approached. Giving a sniff as his expression was one of unimpression. “What happened to you? You look like shot.” He emphasized the lat word. Thorne shrugged. “Beats me. Free food?”

Jorge watched the parade of newcomers trickle in. The one girl had a whole entourage. And...a sheet? Huh...that was new. And...unless Jorge's nose deceived him, a mortal. This family dinner was going to be interesting. He smirked at the kiss from his wife, and moved his head so that he touched the top of her head with his cheek. "Mi Amor, I think we need to have a discussion when we get home." Grell had been invited to a family dinner with his son and daughter-in-law. Actually, the girl was rather insistent that he meet her father. Grell was perplexed as to why, but he took her at her word. As they entered the temple with his grandchildren, he realized something was...off. First, he realized this wasn't a house, but an actual temple. Who in the world was her father?! Swallowing past the lump in his throat, Grell decided it would probably be best if he stayed with their little group. They rounded a corner into an extended, and tastefully decorated, dining room, with a large round table at the end. There was a small group already there, and his daughter-in-law plopped right into a seat as if it had her name on it. Gremlin hovered behind her mother, and Grell decided to take the seat next to his son. For safety. He didn't have his chainsaw anymore, so it would be best to stick as close to him as possible. Seussi Grell is officially at Fangsgiving

Amria smiled as more and more started to filter in. Good, at least there would be some interesting personalities here. She rolled her eyes at the one female who went and plopped herself down near the…well there really was no head of the table as it wa ma round. Specifically choosen, the shape was to make no one feel superior but for all to be equals. She knew her father better than he did sometimes. Turning her head slightly she looked up at Jorge. “About what my love? Are you not enjoying yourself?”

This was...Frenzy didn't know what this was. He didn't know why he was invited. He hadn't thought, until this moment, that his father even knew who he was. But the invitation had said family dinner, and so he guessed the God had known, after all. ....He wasn't sure how that made him feel. Better? Worse? He'd never heard a word from this supposed father his entire unlife. In fact, he had begun to suspect that his mother had been lying about the whole thing. Eyes darted around the dining room when they arrived, and he found two empty chairs, which were probably the closest to the exit he could currently get, in case they needed to make a hasty escape. He pulled out a seat for his mate before settling into one himself and waiting. A glance around the table only showed him a lot of very unfamiliar faces, and...a mortal?? This evening just got stranger and stranger.

"Quite the opposite, Mi Amor", Jorge purred, turning his head to look her in the eye. "I think we need a few of these", he said, gently lifting the baby in his arms for emphasis. With a sigh, he flicked his eyes up to Jackal, sitting on the opposite side of Amria. "I suppose you want this one back, hmm?"

"I don't even know most of these people." Cassius frowned, looking around the table at what appeared to be a lot of very familiar and yet somehow not familiar at all faces. The girl with the red hair and tentacles he could work out as probably being a half-sister, and she had brought what appeared to be her own family with her, one of which, it seemed, was a mortal. "What the actual <********>? He said, before turning and leveling a glare at Thorne. "And yet still somehow I look ten times better than you." He glanced past him at his 'guest'. "Who's the mutt?" As more trickled in Mina noticed a mortal following along, she approached slowly and moved to sit close to those who she believed were in the Grendel family line. She greatly admired his attire and the gumption he had to show up in a den of vampire, she leaned in before speaking and offered her hand. "Hello, I hope I'm not intruding into a family moment but I'd like to extend my greetings to one as well dressed as yourself. I am Mina, and you are?" She watched him carefully while offering a calm smile.

Her red eyes blinked open wide at his words. “You want to have babies?” She felt a swelling in her chest that was unfamiliar but she enjoyed the feeling. Reaching down she gently took the baby out of a Jorge’s arms and handed her off to her father who promptly gave her a once over then settled back into his chair with Sparrow in his arms. Amria laced her fingers with her husband’s. This time leaning over to place a tender kiss on his lips. “I would like that too.”

Jacobite peered through the door, taking a slow, deep breath as he did. "Mother, this is a FAMILY gathering, you will be fine. I am sure Grandfather will be convincing his partner to behave, however that needs to be done." He glanced back at the woman behind him. He knew his mother was usually a vibrant and energetic woman, but right now, she seemed nervous, even mildly afraid and definitely extremely uncomfortable at approaching the home of Ravnos and Grendel. He simply opened the door wider, and stood back, gesturing with one hand for his mother to enter. He glanced behind her at his own children, smirking a little at them, since neither of them seemed entirely sure of themselves either... None of them was sure if any of this was a good idea, which is why Bellia had decided to not bring her mate. He tried not to acknowledge the fact that he, himself, had a grandson walking besides her, too. He did vaguely wonder what his grandfather would think of his descendant's... Interesting choice of clothing. Mary Sue straightened up at the smirk, not processing that it was sent to her grandchildren, and glowered at her son for a long moment, then straightened up further. "Don't play with me, child. You are not as directly affected by the..." She paused, a difficult and complicated expression crossing her face as she tried to figure out how to phrase this. "Let's call it politics of the recent changes." She knew she was almost certainly not her Maybe-Sort-of-Kind-Of-but-also-not-exactly brother's favorite existence, anymore than any of her sort-of-sisters were likely to be. "That said... Fine." She stalked through the door, head held high, and called out a greeting. "Hellooooo. Congratulations on the new home, Ravnos and Grendel. It's always lovely to something so well outfitted." Bellia and Rebellio followed, staying close together... They were closer, by far, to each other than they were to Kartegayna, for... Various reasons... staying behind their grandmother as they entered, though Bellia gave her father a look that spoke volumes of 'If this goes to Hell, I blame you.' Kartegayna, on the other hand, practically wriggled into the room, her eye taking in the details of everything, her... Eye... Ribbon... flapping behind her as she grinned wide. "Oh this IS a lovely place, an absolutely perfect love-nest. I MUST ask Great-Grandpa for tips on home decor!" She said, in utter delight, looking around to see who was here. Demaskus was the last to enter, save for Jacobite (Who followed him the rest of the way in, and shut the door.). He looked around as well, but did not say much. He wondered if his sister would come, and silently hoped so. He was... Always more comfortable with her around.

The young vampire scoffed. “Sure if you think looking like mom makes you look better.” His black gaze fell upon the others beginning to gather. Many he didn’t recognize as well as a….sheet? “What the ******** is that a sheet?” Thorne had said it rather loudly and anyone listening could hear. He turned to his brother. His head snapping around as Cassius called Caelean a mutt. “At least my mutt can walk around on his own without having to cling to me.” Thorne hissed and hated his fangs at his brother. Thems was fighting words.

The temple doors opened slowly as Lilith entered her childe’s home. That shock of fiery red hair, which had obviously passed down throughout her bloodline like wildfire if this room was any evidence, swept up into a simple but elegant style. Held together by golden hair pins and adorned in small, golden, seeds the shape of nine pointed stars. A few loose curls had fallen free, framing her face in a comely way. Gentle gaze, as red as rubies, sweeping the room. She felt frozen in place.
So many faces. Some she hadn’t seen since they were small, some she’d never seen before tonight. For a moment she wondered if she should leave. Part of her, the part that was a mother, ached to be here. The other part, the dark mother, felt like a wild animal in a cage. There would never be a part of her that felt completely at ease in a temple again. Even one so beautiful and warm as this.
Closing her eyes for a moment she collected those broken pieces and tucked them neatly away. This could be her only chance to see her bloodline like this, together under one roof. As those eyes slowly opened again she found her place and made her way over. The soft satin fabric of her dress rippled like water with each step. She chose to stand just outside, away from the intensity of the main table, waiting for her son’s arrival. An empty crystal wine glass stood among many others atop an ornate looking tray, she gently lifted it, admiring the beauty. Finding no reason to speak she simply kept quite. It was far more fulfilling to watch the array of personalities and individuals that filled the temple. Though there was blood here not of her line. Ravnos. Lilith smiled softly; her eyes suddenly brightening with pride. Ah, very good.

It was a weird time to be a young vampire, born in a time when the dust was just beginning to settle after a great upheaval and everyone else around you knew a lot more about The Drama than you but also didn’t really want to talk about it. Which was frustrating for an inquisitive mind who liked to stick her nose into things. Deianira slipped through the temple door just behind Lilith, eyes wide and mouth agape, watching the back of one of the most powerful creatures she’d ever been in the presence of, walking casually across the room. How thrilling! She was just a small-fry in a big ocean and the temple was already jam-packed with vampires that had lived hundreds of years. No doubt Grendel, with his new vampire god mantle, was around somewhere too. She circled the room and scampered over to her brother, attaching herself to Damaskus’s arm, the relief of being next to him slowing her racing heartbeat. “Look at them all! Did you see Lilith? Isn’t she pretty? Do you think she’ll let me talk to her?”

There were dark corners in the temple of Vampires, but no dark corner could withstand Apollo's presence. The shadows seemed to shrink away as he appeared seemingly out of thin air. Among those gathered, the god sensed a familiar entity... and his eyes fell upon Lilith. The wineglass in her hand filled with a deep, ruddy vintage, with no hands to do the filling, and a slight smirk curved the apparent raccoon's lips. To all appearances he was nothing more than an extraordinarily good looking but otherwise ordinary party guest... and certainly not a vampire.
Grendel was not far away now, whether in distance or in time, and so the Sun god found a place at the table to settle. Fortunately for the other guests present, his divinity was under wraps, to the point where his mere existence would not harm Ravnos and Grendel's kin. As luck would have it, the nearest available seat was next to Frenzy, who seemed more confused than anything else by the company in which he found himself. Company which now included another enigma. "Evening," Apollo said smoothly... and waited.

All day the God of Vampires had wondered just what he had gotten himself into. It was equal parts amusing and horrifying to see how much Ravnos had done to get the place ready for the night's big gathering. The planning, the decorating, the cleaning, the redecorating, it was all just...so much. It was actually almost overwhelming. And so, yes, he may have decided to try and distract the Disciple from his task a few times, but it was only because he was really trying to distract himself. And apparantly testing out his new battle scythe on the throw pillows in the lounge wasn't acceptable, so he had needed to find something else to do anyway. As time neared the God became more and more distant. When the time arrived he actually seemed to have disappeared altogether. But it wasn't because he was hiding, he was actually watching everyone as they arrived...Just from high up in one of the temple towers. Eventually, the flow of arrivals seemed to trickle to a stop, and he knew that it was time. A coalescing of shadows suddenly appeared in the room full of guests that mostly sat around a dark, round table. Stepping out from its depths appeared Grendel, the new God of Vampires. He did not bother toning down his appearance, as this was, after all, his home, but he did at least leave the battle scythe stored away. Glancing around the room, his gaze landed upon all, and each was familiar to him because he made sure that they were. When his eyes found his own children, however, he paused, giving each a nod in acknowledgment. Christabella, Cassius, Thorne, and Frenzy. There should have been more, but he had not expected them all to arrive. Seeing his mother, he offered her a polite smile. Spying Apollo, he grinned. He had not been sure the Sun God would make an appearance, though the invitation had been extended anyways. He had always felt more like family than the one Grendel had actually been born with, so it had only felt right to have him here tonight. yayoi my brain is mush so I'll stop here and let ravnos show up before I do anything else
