If Vespara noticed his eyes on her, she didn't say anything--but her stomach did give a small flutter. Usually she was so engrossed in her studies, or with family when she did go out, that she didn't think twice about any cute faces she might pass. But Regulus was turning out to be fun company, and she was glad she'd stopped him in the shop.
An auspicious turn of events, to be sure.
She kept her arm looped in his, letting her claws periodically brush against it innocently. He made good company, for all that he loomed over her. What girl didn't want a cute boy on her arm, anyway... she'd certainly never had one that wasn't an eventual meal.
"I don't mind trying to lure him," she confirmed. "I'll see about getting him into one of these alleys or towards you-- but if it doesn't work, and he spooks, feel free to jump in. I can be flexible," she laughed, giving his arm a final pat with her claws before releasing him.
The beast within was eager and ready. Not every hunt was entirely successful, especially as she was spoiled and fed primarily on what Nonna provided. If seduction and manipulation didn't work, she'd just scare the s**t out of the other to spook him into a run.
Hopefully this would be simple.
Yayoi If you want to carry on the hunt so it's not just your buy going -thumbs up- and poofing into the shadows, haha, feel free to get it going. Or if this is Trouble, that's fine too. I imagine Vespara's gonna jog up to the other, try to catch his attention, and ask for some sort of help/aid/assistance.... try to get the guy to follow her, lure him away from the main streets.

It was, to be honest, rare that Regulus would even approach a stranger on the street or in a shop and strike up a conversation or go out hunting with them. If Vespara hadn’t asked for his help he probably would have walked right past her. But she had drawn his attention, not only with the request of help getting the necklaces, but she had a lovely face that he had a hard time not staring arms. How did he get so lucky today? He enjoyed the feel of her arm looped through his and the subtle p***k of her claws against his spotted fur. But he knew it would not last as they had to unlink arms eventually so they could hunt. But part of him really wanted to stay like this. When she mentioned luring the mortal Regulus nodded his head. “If you can get him to that alley over there I can grab him. He won’t go anywhere.” He grinned wide, fangs glistening in the moonlight. When she unlinked the airs he felt a sense of longing but quickly shook it away as he moved through the shadows, knocking over trash cans and boxes in the alley way as he went to get the mortal a little uneasy. If they were too far on edge Vespara would have a hard time convincing them to follow her. So he only made enough noise to make them jump twice before he slipped into the shadow of the alley he had indicated l. Green eyes full of excitement as he found a dark corner to slip into. Now it was up to Vespara to lure him so Retulus could catch him. His pupils constricting in a predatory fashion as the beast in his belly paces frantically. Ready to just tear the mortal’s throat out.

Vespara let her dual-toned eyes watch as the stranger slipped into the shadows. If she let her eyes admire him a few moments to long, could she be blamed? But, the Beast was ready to hunt, and her own pupils constricted with a new need, a new want -- hunger.
She quickened her pace, pleased by the ambiance her new acquaintance added to the night. It didn't take long for her gain on the stranger, who certainly seemed a little jumpy. "Scusami?" She slipped into her usual tongue, playing well into her strength of looking like a lady in need.
The stranger stopped and turned, which played right into her favor. "Scusa, scusa -- Please help." That usually did the trick. If the fellow wasn't a knightly sort, than he might well be someone equally ready to take advantage of someone in need. Some brushed her off, certainly, in which case other tactics were needed... but she seemed to know how to be persuasive, or at least manipulative. Her pretty features certainly worked to her advantage on most average citizens--boy and girl alike.
Thankfully, this stranger seemed more than ready to take the bait. "What happened? This isn't a great neighborhood, you know..."
Vespara gave a shake of her head, reaching out to tug on the others arm. "It's silly, really...cosi stupido," she gave a small laugh, though there was little humor in it. Any warmth that Regulus had heard up until now was gone -- for she was not laughing at her plight, no. She was laughing at the fool who played right into her hands.
As she brought him closer to the alley, the stranger seemed to slow, to hesitate. Perhaps he sensed something amiss, but he still followed. "Just over here," she spoke encouragingly, pleadingly, pressing a little close to the stranger. See? Just a silly, defenseless, helpless mortal. While she hated playing into the stereotype of damsel in distress, it worked more often than not in the city. "Do you see it?" She gestured to the shadowed alley.
"See what? I don't know what you need, lady," the fae questioned, glancing at the alley. Unfortunately, when he turned back to Vespara, she was no longer the pretty little thing he'd thought.
Fangs bared and gleaming, eyes flashing with need, she was ready to play with her food--even for just a moment. "Run!" She hissed the command, lunging forward to snap at him -- if only to get him going. He only had one place to go, after all, to get away from her... and that was the alley.
"What-- What are you--" The mortal choked, stumbling backwards, right into the little trap they set. He didn't wait for an answer, turning to book it. Surely, he could outrun the small Vespara.

The alley way wWe easy enough to get to without being spotted. Regulus’ pelt blended in with the shadows making him nearly impossible to see unless in direct light. Sometimes he felt at home in the shadows other times it felt strange and alien to him. He wonders what that meant. Ears perked as he heard Vespara’s voice speaking to the mortal. The fool was walking right into their trap. Mortals we’re so trusting and naive. Their instinct to run was all messed up. Even when it tells them to run they fight against it and usually it ends up pretty bad for them. Green eyes flowed as Vespara finally guided the mortal to the alley way. But Regulus stayed poised, ready to point the second he bolted. Which obviously didn’t take very long. Vespara’a beaitiful face had changed but he didn’t find ot repulsive, it was more fascinating. He almost missed the jump on the mortal while trying to study it. As the apple sauce drew closer on a panic he stepped out from the shadows t block their path #%{ mortal slamming right into them but not realizing what they had run into. Clasping a large hand over the man’s mouth. Regulus soon appeared while he grabbed the man’s wrists with his free hand. Turning his head so that she could access the man’s neck. “Here you can drink first.” The human struggled against Regulus, they tried to scream around his hand but he had sunk his claws into the flesh of their face to give him a better grip so he soon subdued the mortal again so that she could drink.

The mortal didn't stand a chance, especially with Regulus there to catch him. Perhaps it wasn't the most thrilling hunt or chase--but they were in the city, and even though it was quiet, it didn't take much to risk mortals meddling in business that didn't concern them. Besides, as pleasurable as the hunt could be... it really was the end-result that was worth it.
Vespara quickly slid up to where Regulus stood, and while she had expected the other to spring into a bit, he surprised her by offering his neck to her first. Such a gentleman... "I don't even think I need my gag," she mused, words a bit breathy with excitement. "He's not going to like this," she warned, even as her fanged smile grew. And oh, how she wanted to revel in the others fear, her purple and golden eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure.
She reached out and walked her clawed fingers up the struggling mans chest, giving his cheek an almost affectionate caress. "Farà male," she promised, before leaning in to bit the struggling victims neck.
Where most vampire bites were pleasurable, as a Giovanni, hers was anything but. The man shrieked around Regulus' hand, body involuntarily convulsing from the pain of her bite. The longer she drank, the more he fought and thrashed against Regulus' grip, doing everything in his power to get away. Vespara relished it all.
Unfortunately, she knew the mortal was at great risk to simply succumb -- and she didn't want to leave her new companion sucking on a dead body. So she ate light, and willed herself to remove her teeth early--difficult as it was. The man's eyes had slid back into his head, but she paid him no mind. Licking her lips sensuously, she looked up at her companion. "Divertiti," she purred, encouraging Regulus to finish.

As the man struggled, Regulus’ grip grew tighter, not willing to allow him to escape his clutches. Blood began to run down his face as the male’s claws dug into his flesh. The hand around his wrists pushing them further against the man’s back, putting pressure on his shoulders. The man kicked and tried to scream for help around his hand but Regulus was stronger and able to keep him under relative control. She seemed surprised when he offered for her to drink first. It was always ladies first, Regulus did have manners after all even if he was just a Clanless vampire. He watched her feed, it was a lovely sight and he felt a small sense of satisfaction that he had helped her obtain this feed tonight. It definitely wasn’t the most exciting hunt, however it was mostly quiet and would draw less attention. Maybe one day they could go out to the woods and hunt there together. Though Vespara didn’t quite look suited for the wilderness. Which was fine, he had only been out there a handful of times. It was different hunting out there than in the city. When she was done he couldn’t help admiring how lovely the blood on her lips looked. Nodding at her words he pulled the mortal up and sunk his fangs into the other side of his neck, drinking deeply. The blood flooding his mouth and the beast drinking it all in with revelry. He hadn’t noticed how hungry he had been. Once he was finished he slipped his fangs out, licking his lips as he glanced around. Looking for a place to dump the body. Finally deciding that a nearby dumpster was perfect. Regulus dragged the body to it and after lifting the lid he tosses the mortal into the dumpster and closed the lid. He turned to Vespara with a smile on his lips. “Well that was refreshing. What would you like to do next?” Regulus would let her have the choice of what they did. He didn’t want her feeling like he would bulldoze her wants if there was something she really wanted to do while they were out and about.

Vespara watched the other drink, even as she slowly cleaned the blood off her lips and chin. She had seen her family feast before, but getting to hunt with the stranger, getting to share a meal, and watching him finish and dispose of the remains...well... it was simply different. There was no denying the other vampire was fierce and capable.
... well.
She'd tuck the memory away to think over later.
When Regulus returned, she gave a small twitch of her bushy tail. "Here," she encouraged, reaching up for the other, attempting to tug him down closer. "You missed a spot," she mused, and if he did indeed lean down, would let her fingers wipe at a small spot of blood near the edge of his mouth. She wiped it up with a clawed finger, making sure he looked presentable. "Perfetto," she purred, before licking the excess off her finger, eyes still locked on his own.
Waste not want not, after all.
At his query, the girl pondered a moment before smiling brightly. "I know a place," she mused. "And the night wouldn't be complete without it." She wasn't going to tell him where she was taking him, lest he decide he wasn't into dancing and hurry off. No, Vespara wasn't going to give him a choice...though she'd make sure the little place offered drinks if he really wasn't into it. Besides, she wanted to get to know him a bit, and though the venue wasn't far, it would take them to a more populated part of town.
"Shall we?" She asked, looping her arm in his once more, as if it was hers to claim. Well... as far as Vespara was concerned, it was, at least for tonight.

It was rare that Regulus shared a meal with anyone. Normally he steered clear of other vampires, especially Clanned who typically turned their noses down at him because he was Clanless. But with Vespara it was different and he couldn’t place why. The male felt comfortable around her, like he could say or do whatever and not feel embarrassed because of the company he was in. Of course, he would never fly free with that much abandon. Regulus quirked a brow as she tried to pull him in closer. Bending enough to reach his face he blinked as she wiped the bit of blood he had missed and then licked it off her finger. Now his other eyebrow raised as he smirked. There wasn’t much time to ponder that little scene before Vespara had made up her mind about where they would go next. The warmth in his belly returned as she looped her arm with his again. Using his free hand to cover her hand on his arm for a moment. “Yea let’s go.” He wasn’t sure where she was taking him but that was fine, wherever she wanted to go he would follow. As they walked along he tried to think of things to talk about. Talking was great sure but it always felt a little awkward at first. “So tell me more about you, Vespara.” Or at least as much as she wanted to tell.

Vespara didn't mind a bit of conversation-- the night was still nice, the shadows inviting, and there was a peaceful quiet in the dark and run down neighborhood. Her belly was full, and though the beast within her wanted more, always wanted more, it was sated enough.
"More about me... Hmmm," she mused, thinking of what she should reveal. She certainly wasn't going to talk about her Clan or connections, at least not yet. She was smart enough to know that only those who needed to know needed to know. She was proud of her family, of course, but not everybody felt the same -- and there were some unpleasant rumors attached to the name.
No, she'd not reveal that quite yet. "What do you want to know?" She asked, giving her tail a small twitch of mirth. "I come from a pretty large extended and close family, though I'm an only child for now. Do you have any family, any siblings?" She asked, genuinely curious. If she was going to share, she'd try to get him to do the same. Being a vampire meant one always had to be cautious... but right now, she couldn't help but feel like there was little harm in letting Regulus know a bit more. He was fun, certainly... but she also felt quite at ease.
It certainly wasn't just because he was good looking...
"I'm actually usually at home or in local libraries, surprise, surprise," she smiled, "My family has pretty high expectations, and I need to be well learned if I want to impress them," she added carefully. He didn't need to know details--particularly her desire to follow in her father's footsteps or her keen interest in the occult, necromancy, and her desire to master those arts. There were some family secrets that just weren't talked about in public, much less with strangers... even cute ones.
"When I'm not studying, or even while I'm studying, I love music of all sorts, but my favorites right now are the Graverobbers, Faerie Dust, and Promise Me Murder.. their latest album was great. And you? Anything I should know? Hobbies? Interests? .... seeing anyone?" She asked casually, with an arched brow, purple and gold eyes sparkling.

Regulus tilted his head just slightly as he listened to her talk about her family. Extensive and close? That must have been nice to have that. But then she asked him about his own family. What was he to say? Both his parents were mortals and yet somehow he and his brother came out as vampires. Of course, somehow his parents were never privy to it. Whether by them just ignoring it or by magical means he could not say. “We’ll, my family isn’t quite as extensive and close as your’s probably is. But I have parents and a brother.” His voice rumbled as he spoke. Part of him would just love to forget his mortal parents, that information could get him into a lot of trouble with someone out there. And Regulus tried to avoid that kind of conflict if he could. Huh, he figured she was probably part of some fancy family. The way she dressed and carried herself spoke volumes. There was refinement there, intelligence. Of course she would be well read. And then all of a sudden he felt awkward. But he kept his composure as she spoke, smiling all the same. He wasn’t from a fancy family or even very well read. Her questions brought him out of his head. “The Graverobbers are pretty awesome. They’ve got that new club the Sin Bin right?” It was always the same no matter who asked. What were his hobbies again? Interests? “Going to clubs honestly. I guess you could say fashion, wearing it not making it. Long walks down abandoned streets in the middle of the night with a lovely lady on my arm.” Ok ok, that last one was super cheesy. But her last question caught him only a little off guard. “No, I’m not seeing anyone.”

Vespara listened as they walked together down the quiet street. She had them turn down a few alleys and cut across a few streets, but she was in no rush. It was nice to get a chance to listen to him, and get to know him without any interruption. If her plush tail periodically knocked into his own, well, sometimes that happened when fae's were walking side-by-side.
It didn't really occur to her that he could be clanless. Being raised a Giovanni, she had the base-assumption that the majority of vampires fell into various clans, but not all. Everything she'd heard about the clanless didn't really fit in line with the Regulus... but she also hadn't considered that everything she HAD heard might have been quite biased.
Perhaps a cute Tremere? Or maybe a Brujah? He seemed too put together to be a Malkavian, and he absolutely was not a Giovanni. Toreador perhaps? He was handsome enough to be one.... Well, she supposed it didn't matter knowing yet. She wasn't giving up her clan, so she didn't expect him to, either. And what was one night out?
"A sibling sounds nice. I wish my parents would have some more -- it would give them someone else to focus on." Not that she didn't love that they were protective, but Claudius in particular was a bit tricky getting around. The fact Vinny had let her go out alone tonight was a shock... and she was certain she'd hear about it later. Maybe that's why she was so keen on enjoying her newfound company. She wouldn't likely get another opportunity again for some time.
"The Graverobbers are amazing. I'd love to see them in concert sometime... I've heard they haunt that place, but I've never been. Have you?" She asked, genuinely curious. "Honestly, I've never been clubbing," she admitted with a slightly self-conscious laugh. "Hope that's not a deal-breaker," she followed with a grin. On the other hand, maybe he could take her sometime? Her father never wanted her to go clubbing, but maybe he'd be more open to it if she had some experienced company? As for his taste in fashion, well... She appreciated that, and could certainly tell. That was something they had in common at least, though she didn't say as much out loud.
At his cheesy confession about long walks down abandoned streets, she laughed a bit and couldn't help but tease him a little. "Oh, you've ladies on your arm often enough it's a hobby is it? Well then... I'd best make sure it's a walk you remember." Certainly, Vespara knew that wasn't what he meant... but her teasing was gentle, not at all malicious, and she tightened her grip on his arm. sidling just a little closer.
"A single man then... quanto conveniente," she purred, mostly to herself. She didn't follow that line of conversation quite yet, especially as they were nearing their destination. Not far from the heart of the city, was a tall building. There was a restaurant and bar, while mostly empty, had a few mortals drinking their woes away. She entered without a second thought, and headed towards the back. There was a small hall between the kitchen and the front of the house-- and in it a door. "It's no Sin Bin, but we should be able to have some fun," she assured. "Fidati di me."
She knocked on the door, and a vampire opened it -- likely to keep mortals out. "We're here for the nightlife," she spoke, "Party of two." Sure enough, the door was opened, and the two could head up the stairs towards the roof. Reaching the top, the door would open, and sure enough, there was a dance party in full swing. There was a bar, a dancefloor with lights strung over it, and a stage for local and visiting talent to play. At present, a DJ was spinning some tracks. Most of the vampires were of a younger crowd, but there were pockets of older generations as well.
It was no Sin Bin, but there were no mortals to ruin the party, and there was a nice view of the city skyline. "I hope you like to dance."

Regulus was really enjoying himself. Even though they were just walking together getting to know Vespara was nice. He had little connection to anyone really. Sure he has friends but they were all rather independent and they only came together to go to parties or clubs. He couldn’t help but notice her tail sweeping against his and he chuckled to himself. Unless stated otherwise, Regulus just assumed nothing about other vampires. While he could sit there and try to guess what Clan someone is in, some are easier to tell than others, Regulus just really didn’t care. If they treated him nice like Vespara was, he would be cordial back. It never occurred to him that she would try and guess what clan he was in. Of course, he never advertiz he was Clanless either. He shrugged. “We’re not really that close.” Tilting his head he raised an eyebrow. “Are they really that…” What was the word. Over baring? No. “Focused on you? That doesn’t sound like a lot of fun.” His own parents could care less where he went or what he did as long as he stayed out of jail and didn’t come home with eggs. “A couple of times. It’s a really amazing space. Maybe one day the Graverobbers will put on a show there and you can go see them.” That seemed like the easiest way to realize her dream of seeing them in concert. He waved a dismissive hand. “Definitely not a deal breaker. Maybe i’ll take you clubbing someday. I think you’d have a lot of fun.” She’d need a lot of energy to keep up, the clubs could be pretty fast paced and overwhelming for first timers. But he’d be there to make sure nothing happened to her. Regulus laughed and shook his head. “No, unfortunately I don’t. Surprising I know but I have very discerning tastes that very few have met so far.” Again he noticed her grip on his arm tightening and she moved closer. She was so close now he could smell her scent and it was lovely. Dark and intriguing, just like her. Soon they were entering a building and heading down a hallway. He nodded as he followed along. It wasn’t long before they were through the doors meant to keep mortals out and he soon found himself on the roof of the establishment. How did he not know about this place? It was a really nice looking set up. Like Vespara had said, it was no Sin Bin, but there were drinks and dancing. Plus others who seemed rather young too along with a few old vampires. “This place looks really nice.”

Vespara considered her family, and knew she was lucky to have family who genuinely seemed to care. Not every vampire was so lucky, even among those in Clans, so she didn't wish to disparage the gift. Certainly, she'd been spoiled, and was given advantages others didn't have. However, no matter how busy her parents were, and there were times she didn't see them at all -- they always seemed to know how to keep tabs on her. "They are quite invested,... but the connections help open doors otherwise closed to me, too." She had aspirations and there were plenty of politics involved -- one wrong step could be devastating. Just because her father was an Antedilluvian didn't mean she wasn't accountable for pulling her own weight, and being an asset to the family. She had things to prove, and would do whatever it took to achieve her goals.
The ends always justified the means, after all.
She liked the idea of going clubbing with him for two fold reasons. Not only would she get to step into a new world that wasn't quite as buttoned up as the one she was accustomed; but it also meant she might get to see Regulus again. "I'd like that, signore," she mused. And if the Graverobbers happened to be performing, or if they even happened to be there...well. That would just be the icing on the cake. Perhaps luck and good fortune would favor her, just as it seemed to this night.
It pleased her to know that he didn't have a string of ladies waiting for him--rakes weren't usually her style, and she was rather discerning herself. The fact she was going dancing with a near-stranger was not her usual style... but she had yet to think he meant her any arm.
Up on roof, Vespara was pleased. "I've been her a couple times, only with family though," she confessed. The little night venue wasn't large, and the music changed from night-to-night, but it always had its charm. This was the first time she'd come alone and with a cute vampire in tow.
So it was, Vespara lead him over to an empty table, not far from the dance floor. She was only too eager to set down her day's purchases. "Do you want to start with drinks or dancing?" She, for one, planned on doing both.

Regulus obviously didn’t have the connections that opened doors for him. But he didn’t fault anyone for that. His family just wasn’t as well off as Vespara’s and he knew if he wanted to elevate himself it would take him doing so. He just had Bo ambition to do that, really he was just content as he was. If that changed later down the road we’ll then it would be later down the road. “Good.” He rumbled a reply. “We’ll have to pick you out something appropriate to wear too.” The dressing up was the fun part, Regulus was pro at it by now but he’d help Vespara look like she belonged. He mused to himself about how much her family was involved in just about everything in her life. And he began to wonder if maybe she wasn’t supposed to be out like this. He figured she definitely wasn’t supposed to be out with someone like him. And she probably has a whole line of guys back at her home just waiting for her. She was a catch for sure. Smart, gorgeous, but not quite as worldly. Glad to be lead to a table so he could settle his bag down. “Ah, drinks would be good. Got to limber up a little.” He laughed. “What are you drinking?” He could go get drinks if she wanted to sit down for a minute.

It hadn't occurred to Vespara that she'd need a change of attire to go clubbing-- but the thought of a new outfit was appealing. She did like shopping, after all, and she was now curious what Regulus might choose. Well, that was certainly something to look forward to... assuming she ever got permission to do so. Would her parents ever allow it? ...... probably not.
But maybe with time, and proof she was capable, independent, and able to take care of herself they'd be more agreeable. It wasn't like she was just a fledgling anymore, after all. She was a vampire, and a Giovanni at that -- it would be shameful if she couldn't take care of herself!
Settling in a chair, Vespara didn't mind Regulus offering to get a drink. She thought about it a moment, before adding, "I think an Angelo Azzurro, per favore e grazie. Something colorful, and perfect to, as you say 'limber up'," she mused. She could slam something harder, or sip on wine, but she didn't mind drinking something sweet and heavy on the alcohol -- the perfect post-dinner drink after their earlier meal.
"I'll be waiting." She was curious what he'd bring back himself -- something harder? Something straight and to the point? Looking around, she admired the lights, the music, and the venue. She hoped Regulus was still enjoying himself -- it wasn't at all like Cold Subject, and the music was a bit different -- but she thought they'd have a nice time, especially once they were out on the dance floor.
