Head Judge — Cycle 4 — July 8th, 2024
Wow!! What a ******** crazy ride that was! ... And while there were some poor aspects in how PC4's cycle ran, I think it was an
overall success. I mean, in my opinion, and from my point of view, I'm confident when I say the good vastly outweighed the bad.
I mean, I had been offline since 2018. And when I had logged into Gaia on a whim, some random-a** day in September, I
couldn't have predicted that my old crew would still be around, or that we'd end up picking things up right where we left off. But
that's exactly what happened. And after a much-needed guild clean and edit, I found myself as the Head Judge once again.
Now, in hindsight, I can admit that I may have jumped the gun a bit (hehehe ...), and that there may have been a lot of benefit in
taking our time to set things up ... But I'm dumb, excitable, and very impulsive, so I doubt things could have gone any other way.
So yeah, the currency inflation caught me off guard, the saturation of items scared me, I was scrambling to collect a cast & crew,
and I never even considered that having 17 Designers would mean that the competition would last until July. Like seriously, I'm
flaky at the best of times!! If not for Bae, Clot, and Flame, this thing wouldn't have survived past challenge three (I love you girls ♥).
Yet, despite the bad planning on my part, I feel as though the contest itself, ran quite smoothly. My crew were able to follow me
as I changed and tweaked things along the way, there was interest and talent in all corners of the guild, and most importantly, we
had a talented and eager Designer line-up for the cycle. Honestly, I can't even begin to explain how ******** ecstatic I was to find
such a creative and dedicated cast of characters. I make no hesitation when I say that PC4 was the most loyal party I've hosted
since Gaia's glory days (2005-2010), and without the devotion of our distinguished Designers, I couldn't have made it to the end.
A big shoutout to Hell, Myth and Clown for making the finale — you guys are seriously ******** awesome, and I'd be honoured to
call any of you the King or Queen of my Catwalk. I also wanna recognize Haji 'The Peacoat' Demon, for crushing my favourite
challenge (Is This a Form of Torture?), to Queen, for her memorable hentai fanfic submission, and to Detri, for nearly making us turn
the 'Top Three' into a "Finale Four'. And these mentions are only a small portion of my favourite cycle memories, if I'm honest ...
Saying goodbye to all of you is bittersweet, but it's time for me to head out, and start hyper-focusing on the next, cool activity (I
think I might be hitting The Sims 4!). But I'm confident when I say that this guild will survive without me for another few years,
because I've placed it into the care of the one person who loves it as much as I do — Bae. Good luck, babe! Raise our baby well.
