Serena-Of-Limonium Nice where is the exchange student from? They are from Japan! Trying to get them to pick out what they want to do this weekend. A lot of the kids in the group decided to go to the mall today.

Serena-Of-Limonium How is everyones week going? We had a semi take out our powerlines yesterday and today my husband has poison ivy but I'm keeping my mood up lol. emotion_skull How about the rest of you? oh no gonk you guys got a generator or are you just roughing it without power? we just came out of a hurricane where we lost power for a week, things are finally kinda sort going back to normal 4laugh

I had a great one before we moved the ones near here are all ghost buildings waiting for the SPIRIT of halloween to inhabit them. lol

I don't know if it was for our sake or because the hospital is across the street but I'm grateful it wasn't out longer. I'm terribly weak and get sullen without my computer.

Serena-Of-Limonium do you have a decent mall nearby? I had a great one before we moved the ones near here are all ghost buildings waiting for the SPIRIT of halloween to inhabit them. lol Our city and the next one over both have decent enough malls where most of the stores are open and nice enough (Aeropostale, Box Lunch, Bath and Body Works, the usual) with a few local shops mixed in. The flagships are even starting to get filled back in where they'd lost some during the last recession.

I really like the current challenge, but I really wanted to stay away from a pink wardrobe xD So I did a bit of board searching and found this, which inspired me to use blues, as well as the coat I decided on cat_3nodding I swapped out the peachy tones for some white, and I think the chocolate colored corset is a nice accent to the outfit!

Alright Gaia's item search is failing me horribly I KNOW gaia has an item thats like the fricken strung photos that you hang on a wall I've seen it none of the logical keywords pull it up. Does anyone know the item idek if I want to use it at this point I think I've gone a different direction but I refuse to not find the item

I love those colors I'm having the opposite issue I want to stay away from blue since the judges mentioned my last two designs had a a very similar color scheme so I want to really stay away from anything even remotely blue. which sucks because theres a really cute set of legs but they don't come in another color while maintaining the the black mary janes crying In fact with all the recolors on gaia there are some shockingly obvious items that don't come in pretty basic colors.

okay going on a rant.
scream The entire item tagging and search function on gaia is hot wet garbage. items with backgrounds often have the BG tag can you search the bg tag? nope if I click on it on the marketplace no items come up. can i use the tag's in the avatar builder? also no in fact the entire UI for the Avatar builder is half broken and nothing is filed correctly. if you go into the backgrounds section you do not in fact get all the backgrounds gaia has. the only way to search for a specific item or pose is in fact to already know the name of the item and god forbid you don't know its name because the pretty background you want is pose 7 of an item named Harold's Special Friend. stressed

I originally wanted to involve a puffy sleeved shirt in me design, before settling on the blue and whites, and I couldnt find a single decent puffy shirt when I KNOW one exists. Same with finding any decent skirts or heaven forbid a ponytail!! I swear, I think they need to go overboard with key word searches for a lot of items, or just name them with the same tags. (the amount of times I have to search for lashes OR eyelashes just to get different results is just SAD)

Okay, similar rant to Serena's, but can we talk about the color schemes for a sec?
Why is it that when your searching for items by theme, lets take OPALESCENT for example, that you can get results, but not every result?
In my own inventory for example, I own several items of that color scheme. What happens when I go to search for it? I get a good bit of results, sure, but i am also missing SEVERAL items! Why do they do this Dx
