Just send me any words you can't understand and I will translate. Why not mix it with a Gaian Dictionary as well, so that people can understand words such as avi art.

Don't forget the acronyms and initialisms!

lol - laugh out loud/ space-filler
omg - oh my God
brb - Be right back
g2g - Got to go (I have to go)
And a friend of mine once said someone wrote wubu2 to him...He swore it meant 'what have you been up to?', but I find it hard to see how.
I'm a pretty good translator from text speak, if you need one.

I would talk to Chelle and get you some more but I can't be bothered with it.

wubu2, in talking format, would be like so in red, and typing and correct, I think in blue:
what have you been up to?/what'cha you been up to?

I love Wikipedia.

When I'm (frequently) confused, I also turn to Urban Dictionary.

Well, in case you haven't saw this before:
List of internet slang on Wikipedia

Is this any help?

MoUsY - did you really write that?? Saw instead of seen? Oh no.... I read your other posts on other topics and you never did that before....I'm so disillusioned now.... crying

I absolutely despise txt tlk, n00b speak and ch4t sp34k! They are so freaking annoying! I was in a fishing room, when someone came in, the first thing he wrote was

"wuzzup ppl!? m3h, im fin3!"

another was:

"hoo 3ls3 lik3s c3r34l sid3es me?"

True stories! My reply was:

"GET THE HELL OUT AND LEARN HOW TO WRITE PROPERLY YOU IDIOT!"

Oops. How could I have done that? crying I must've been half asleep when I typed that. It's probably because I typed the sentence, decided to change it, and missed the word when going back over it. redface

Maybe this will help:
If I'm confused about something (which I usually am) I go to www.urbandictionary.com, and they have a lot of stuff there. It's helpful, because I really don't understand nOOb talk anyways.

I used to speak leet...but then I grew out of it...and since I learned how to type, I find no need to use Abreviations...

If I spelled it right...
Must check....

eek

abbreviation
nooo I missed a b....

I can say I once didn't care about spelling things correct. But now, if I see someone not spelling correct or using improper grammar... I freak out.
Like a lot of people are saying, I can translate, plus I know a lot of people that talk in abbreviations.

I find 'l33t sp33k' quite pointless.
But my favorite word has to be "l33ch" >__<
