I would have to say that the story played a big role in my interest in fantasy. I watched the movie endlessly when I was little, and I loved the book when I fianlly read it. The reast of my family loves it too. It's a joke between us to imitate the characters, like Miracle Max, Vessini, and that wacky old bishop.

There's more in the book than the movie (Obviously, it's usually that way) and it's obviously a little different.

That is one of MY favorite books ever. Loved the movie too. It is just so cool! I really thonk it's superb... It is a perfect blend of fantasy, sword fighting and romance. Oh, did any of you guys know that the guy who played Indigo Montoya in the movie is now on Criminal Minds? He plays Gideon, the boss. I think my favorite moment is when Wesley doe s the "To the Pain." Either that or when the Sicilian guy, Vizzini keeps saying "INCONCIEVABLE" and Indigo says "I do not think it means what you think it means."

I forgot about the bishop! I mean it's a serious moment and he's going "Wove, Twue Wove is beautiful thing." It ruins it, which is why it's so funny.
