A gust of wind blew, rustling the branches of the large tree outside in the garden. However, it did not disturb the sleep of the family in the house. Instead, everyone was sound asleep, lost in dreamland and with happy thoughts. That was, until Dragain's dream suddenly changed.
At first, she was in her old hometown. It was a familar place; it was where she had played in as a child with Saniiro and Fauste, her childhood friends. With the sun in the sky, the sound of the river flowing and the birds' singing, it really was a perfect day for outdoor fun. As Dragain's child form picked up a flower and begun running towards her two friends, everything begun to fade away. The noises, colours and even her surroundings. They melted into nothing.
Then she saw flames. It is burning everything in its path, eating and devouring them. She stood in a room, its door and windows closed, and the fire continued spreading. Although it was only a dream, and the fire did not hurt the female, she could almost feel the heat. It seemed so real...
Dragain woke up, her brow wet with sweat. That dream just now... IT was so real, like she was really in a burning room. Wiping away the sweat, she gasped softly when she caught sight of an image 'floating' in the room, near the door. It was almost transparent, especially in the pale moonlight, and looks like a... Ghost?
The female frowned, not daring to move from her bed. The 'thing' approached her, and stopped in front of the bed. Dragain stood up, realising taht it must want her to follow. She nodded, and followe it out of the room, and out into the streets. The thing didn't stop until they had reached a building of sorts. It then floated in.
Dragain could not help but follow, and once inside, she suddenly had an urge. It felt weird, but this place... It told her to keep the ghostly image.
"Saga."

Dear Diary
It seems that I had not been dreaming about that night. I woke up to see that ghostly image floating around in my room this morning. It looks like a... Fog or smoke. Or rather, the picture within it reminds me of the said things.
Something tells me taht that image is not a ghost, but i still don't understand what it is here for. Hopefully it is not a bad thing, but a good one. Maybe if i leave it alone, it'll go away and disappear.
Well, at least I hope it'll go away and disappear soon.

Dear Diary
Call me crazy, but the blurry image is still in the house... Not that I mind it... It seemed to fit just in with the rest of the kids, and it had been seen 'playing' with the younger children. They seem to like chasing the image around.
They'll run around yelling 'Saga!', and the image seems to be rather happy playing the game of tag. However, I'm a little worried... After all, what if Saga is actually dangerous? Maybe he'll have a bad side to him or something.
Meanwhile, he seem to like floating near me. Maybe he's attached to me for some reason. Saniiro is being very uptight about it... Saga, however, ignores him.

"Father"
Saga floated near Dragain, its form rather ghostly and see-through. It did not seem to understand why she was stumped on the bed in an awkward position, and why she kept tossing and turning. The house was unusually quiet as the rest had went over to Fauste's place, much to the male's protests.
Only Saniiro had remained behind, and Saga, of course. The ghostly image can't leave Dragain for too long, not to mention leave for another house. He hovered beside the bed, and seemed to 'observe' as Saniiro poked a white stick thing into Dragain's mouth. It made a few beep sound, and Saga thought he remembered that thing as a thing called a 'thermometer'.
Saniiro looked worried as he turned off the thermometer, and placed a wet towel on Dragain's forehead. He changed it now and then, trying to ignore Saga. He didn't like that.. Thing much. Not because he was bias or anything, but it's better to be safe than sorry, in his opinion... And Saga was an unknown creature with unknown origins.
He frowned, changing the wet towel again, dipping the other in a small basin of ice water. The two towels were used in rotation, and he busied himself with keeping the water cold and changing the towel at the same time. He saw a movement at his side, and sighed.
"Saga, may I request you leave the room?" He queried, wondering why he was talking to it. "Dragain is feeling unwell, and needs her rest. I would join you later."
Much to his surprise, Saga floated out of the door almost immediately. It was as if it understood Saniiro's words... But how could that be possible? He looked at Dragain's face, and smiled faintly. She was asleep, and rather peacefully as well. Feeling satisfied, he took the wet towel off her forehead, and carried the basin out the room.
He was not shocked to see Saga floating just outside the door.
"She's asleep." He whispered, closing the door gently without much noise. He then headed down the stairs, with Saga following behind him. As he emptied the basin of water, Saniiro mused out loud, "You know what's amusing? I could almost say that you are a part of this family."
Saga hovered up and down, like a child jumping for joy. Apparently, Saga had agreed. Yes, Dragain would be the mother and Saniiro, the father. It was just like when he watched the other children when they played a game of 'Family'.
Mother, and now, a Father.

Dear Diary
Saniiro told me about what had happened while I was sick, and bedridden. I found it all rather sweet, and wished I was there to see it. He seems to be... Warmer and friendlier to Saga now, and had stopped worryingly about having a 'ghostly image' floating about the house.
I'm happily about that change in him. I feel a little less upset to fall ill then... But now, the house is really quiet. It's so quiet, it's what they would call 'defeaning silence'. It's a good time to write in you, diary, but I can't stand it. Only Saga is at home now, and he hardly makes a noise. Anyway, I told him to keep out of the room while I was writing. Can't have him see this diary, now, can we?
Saniiro's gone to collect the kids. He told me he would be back within 10 minutes, but it's already 10 minutes and I don't hear the kids. I sure hope taht everything's alright. Maybe I should go outside and wait for their return with Saga.
I feel that Saga is oddly attached to me... Like he can't leave me for too long or something. I hope to find out where he came from. Maybe I'll go ask around one of these days...
Wait, I can hear some screaming! I think the kids are finally back! Off I go then.

A Change?
Dear Diary
Saga had sort of disappeared. He was here just yesterday, but this morning, I couldn't find him anywhere. He was not outside either, and the children hadn't seen him. The house feels that something is missing with he's gone... Hopefully, he'll be back soon. I'm getting worried.
Saniiro said that he will go and find Saga, but that was over an hour ago. There is still no news, and the children are getting restless as well. I guess they had gotten used to having Saga floating about. I heard that while playing 'Tea party' with the girls, they made Saga the butler! A floating, see-through butler. I wonder what they had been watching on television.
I'll go take out some cookies to eat while waiting. I bet the children must be hungry as well...
Dragain
The female sighed and closed her diary, putting the pen aside. She clipped the small diary padlock back together to lock it, and stuffed the book into her desk's side-drawer. She walked out of the room, and down to the kitchen. Several pair of bright, curious eyes followed her.
"Mum, is Saga coming back?"
"Yes, but Dad's off to him find first. It's like..." Dragain mused out loud, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "Like a game of Hide and Seek! Saga's hiding, and Dad is seeking him out."
"Can I join in? Everyone wants to find Saga, and tell him to come back." Ingina, her eldest daughter queried. Behind her, many heads nodded in agreement.
"First, come and have your snacks. We're having cookies with milk today." The female laughed as some kids ran immediately into the dining room, even before she could finish her sentence. They had gotten hungry while waiting for Saniiro to return with Saga. A second later, everyone were digging into their cookies, and only remembered Saga again when they heard the front door opening.
Saniiro walked in, and shook his head. He couldn't find him, and he had searched the entire neighborhood in vain. Hopefully, Saga will come back on his own.
Dragain nodded as she beckoned Saniiro to join the rest of the family at the table. She was sure that Saga would come back, sooner or later. Hopefully sooner... She could see that the children missed having Saga around.

The Eerie Change In Saga
Saga floated up the stairs later at night, when everyone was asleep due to the exhaustion from looking for Saga. He was obvious to it, however, and managed to make his way into Dragain's room. He was no longer just a image of a... Mist, or smoke.
That night, he spent his time in Dragain and Saniiro's bedroom. Dragain was surprised and delighted at he same time upon seeing Saga in the morning. Saniiro showed less signs of emotion, but he was obviously rather pleased that Saga had decided to return.
After chasing everyone out of the room, Dragain took out her diary, and begun writing in it. She had a smile on as she wrote.
Dear Diary
Saga came back as I had hoped! I bet that the children will be delighted to see him! I do wonder where he had been to for the whole of yesterday though. He seems different, not much character-wise, but appearance-wise. He's still Mr Mysterious to me and the children.
I saw the rough, blurry image of a young boy... A toddler, or maybe even younger, wrapped in dark blue cloth. Straight black hair flows down his head, and reaches a little past his shoulders. I think I saw a little dark blue on his bangs, but I can't be sure.
I could swear that Saga have black eyes, and they look misty to me. Like... Like when someone had just wept, but not to that extend of having bloodshot eyes. More of tear filled eyes... It was only a quick glimpse, but that's what I had saw. I wonder what it all meant...
I hope that it's not a bad omen or anything...

Dear Diary
Saga grew... Well, more like change, but I'll like to call it growing. Saniiro told me that he saw it as well... What I saw in Saga. You know, that blurry image of a child inside the already floating image? Well, the whole family sees it now, even the children!
The child has black hair, although it seems to have a tinge of dark blue in it. His eyes are beautiful and rather alert, but so sad. Ingina said that she could read that Saga is crying. Ingina has slight telepathy powers, and from what she could 'see', she said that Saga's rather afraid of fire and is not actually particularly sad about anything. It's like something is haunting him, but he don't want to speak out about it. I don't think he can speak right now, but you get my point...
I just hope he don't turn emo or anything.
Once in a while, I see him smile. A sad smile, but one that makes people feel warm and fuzzy inside. He's so cute! I have this feeling that... Well, that Saga will become 'real'. Funny, eh?
I'm off for now, to check up on food supplies. Saniiro told me that somehow, the sweets are running out and we still have Halloween to prepare for! I wonder where all those sweets went...

Dear Diary
It had been an eventful day, although it had started to pour rather heavily outside a few minutes ago. Just like the weather, I must admit that today's events consist mostly of the newest addition to our already large family. Dragain had named him Saga, and the children call him "The floating one". When I said the children, I mean the younger ones.
The older ones just call him Saga. They like that name, some thing along the lines of "It really suits him.", and that "It sounds cool."
Today, it had been a warm day out although it's not humid... Which means you don't sweat a lot. Thus, we had a BBQ, right in our backyard. Dragain wanted a full blown camp, but I reminded her that our backyard was not enough for the whole family to go camping.
Anyway, Saga disappeared when we started the BBQ fire. Ingina said that it's because he's afraid of it, and after saying that, she disappeared as well. I think she went to keep Saga company...
When the fire was put out, and only a trail of smoke and Dragain's burnt hot dogs were left, Saga and Ingina were found at home together. Watching television programmes and eating junk food. I mean Ingina, Saga can't take food yet, I think.
The verdict is finally out: Saga is really afraid of fire, even if it belongs in a BBQ pit.

Saga floated around. He was expecting something, and now, he was alone at home. He had been offered to go out with the rest of the family, but he didn't want to. Something was going to happen to him, and he could feel it in himself.
Saga floated over to the living room, where his siblings had turned on the television for him, on his favourite channel. Disney channel, to be exact. They're so silly, Mickey and gang, that it makes him want to smile. Even if it was just a little.
Saga floated to hover above the couch, smiling once in a while at the cartoons on television. He reached out a hand to touch the controller...
... And he switched the channel. There was a brief moment as time seemed to freeze, but the television continued shedding pale light on the small figure that sat on the couch with his bangs covering an eye. As Mickey asked Pluto the dog to get his Newspaper, Saga reached out a hand to push his bangs away.
"Can... Touch..." He breathed slowly, voice full of awe. Was this the thing he had been waiting for? He's no longer just an 'image', but a 'real' person. He can eat, sleep on a bed, touch things, feel things, taste things... Best of all, he can talk properly now!
Saga smiled, and gave a yawn. Grabbing the nearest pillow, he curlled up on the couch and fell asleep, with the television still on, and Mickey's unique laughter echoed in the living room...
"We're back!" Dragain peeked into the living room, and soon, the door opened. Children of all ages ran up the stairs to their bedrooms, unaware of Saga's presence. They were all tired from the day's trip, and there were only a few bathrooms to fight over.
The rule: Brush your teeth and you get to sleep earlier.
Dragain and Saniiro let out a light laugh, and walked over to the television. Dragain was about to turn it off when she heard Saniiro calling her, "Dragain, come look at Saga..."
Turning around to face the couch, the dark blue haired woman's eyes turned wide.
"Saga?"

A fear of fire, the way to counter it
Dragain yawned, holding the plate for Saniiro. He was cooking - as usual - and had asked for her to help with holding the plates so that he could place the food on them. She had thought he would finally be able to cook, but had ended up in a boring kitchen job.
"I really want to -"
"Dragain, it's too dangerous."
"But-"
"I cannot account to Gaiyo-sama if anything happens to you."
"But-"
"Please steady the plate. I'm going to transfer the food over now."
Dragain sighed, resigning to her fate for the time being. She carefully bought the plate full of food to the dining table. Saga sat on one of the dinning chairs, looking at her with wide, mystified eyes. It was to be his first real feast. This meal was held in celebration for Saga's... 'Solidation'.
Saga reached out his arms towards his mother, whining as he pointed towards the kitchen. He could only crawl, but it was tiring to do that all the time. Being carried around was much better, because it was fun and it doesn't tire you out.
Dragain laughed lightly, and scooped Saga into her arms before giving him a pat on his nose with the tip of her finger. Saga reached out with both hands to grab the finger, but turned to rubbing his nose instead. Being carried had its bad points, after all.
He clung onto Dragain's neck as she walked into the kitchen, grabbing a spare plate on the way in. She stopped at where Saniiro was standing, and held out the plate to him, making funny faces at Saga at the same time. Saga was giggling at all the silly faces, when he suddenly felt heat.
Turning towards Saniiro, the boy caught sight of the orange flames coming out of the stove. His eyes widened, and turned misty for a second. As a single drop of tear rolled down his cheek, a blast of wind blew across the stove and water vapour condensed on the wind, dropping like rain onto the flames of the stove.
"Oh my god..." Dragain muttered as Saga clutched her arm, blinking as his eyes turned back to normal. He wiped away the tear, and smiled proudly at his work. Tugging the sleeve of Dragain's shirt, he nodded, "No more fire."
"No more fried chicken wings as well," Saniiro added, looking at what is remained on the frying pan. He looked at Saga, and couldn't help but ruffle his son's hair with a smile.
"Next time, tell me if you hate the food I had cooked so much."

A nightmare - A glimpse of his past
Saga turned in his sleep as he gave a whine. He whimpered again, before his eye lids fluttered open, and he rubbed them. Tears ran down his cheeks as he pulled on his blanket. It was a horrible nightmare... Something he had always feared and stayed away from.
Fire.
He was in a room. A bed was tucked at the far end of the room, and the bed side table had an alarm clock, and several comics piled up in two neat stacks. Light filtered into the room via a closed window, the glass window pane glimmering in the sun light. A study table in front of the window has a stationary holder, and a picture frame on it.
Saga stood up from the bed, and was about to walk to view the photo frame when it happened. Red and orange flames burned down the bedroom door, trapping Saga in the room. They slowly closed in onto a frightened Saga, cornering him to his bed. Before long, the fire had eaten away the wood of the bed, and it collapsed.
Saga bit his lip and drew blood as the flames closed in again... The distant sound of a loud siren melted into silence as the flames vanished.
Saga had woken up. That was the only thing that had saved him... Or else the flames would have swallowed him up. Fire will show no mercy...

Playdate with Ean http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6105245 Dear Diary,
I was at the beach with Saga today, and we met the cutest basy! I believe that his name was Ean, and he offered to play with Saga. However, just when I wasn't looking, the two boys were being chased by numerous crabs. It was a good thing Ean gave a scream, because Saga's too... Quiet to give me any warning.
I managed to rescue the both of them, but I do wonder how they provoked the crab first... Was it Saga's fault, or Ean's? Eithe way, I'm glad I got to them before those crabs did. Angry crabs should be dangerous, with pinchers like those.
Later, Ean's family came to pick him up. They were friendly enough, and one of them was a doctor! I think that his name was Aaron, and the other one was named Dragon. He gave Saga candy, and it imediately won him over. Saga loves anything sweet... He has a major sweet tooth!
Wait, maybe that was where all that hidden stash of sweets went... Anyway, I'll write in again later. I smell the cake I was baking, and it don't exactly smell delicious. Saniiro's going to be really angry with me this time!

Sick? But she can't be sick!
Dragain groaned, sitting up on bed. Her eye-lids felt heavy, and when she finally forced them open, the sunlight made her eyes hurt. The room started to spin, and the images in front of her started to waver, so much that she feared that the objects in her room were going to collapse.
"God... My poor head," She muttered, hugging her knees and placing a hand to cover her face. The world was too bright this Sunday morning. "It hurts so badly..."
"Ah, you should still be in bed." Saniiro's voice pierced though her thoughts, and Dragain groaned again. Opening an eye, she spied Saniiro's figure sitting beside her, on the edge of the bed. Blinking, she thought she saw Saniiro's hair tied up in a ponytail. Closing her opened eye again, she shook her head, "The picnic... The kids... The ponytail?"
"Next week, they understood, and I have to do most of the housework today." Saniiro replied, helping Dragain lay down on the bed again. He placed a cold, wet towel on her forehead and stood up. Giving a slight pause, he continued, "You have a fever today, and are to stay home to rest."
"Yeah..."
"You must be pretty weak, as not to argue." Saniiro replied with a soft smile as he made his way out of the room. "That wet towel will last you for at least an hour, and I will come back then... Please get some rest before I return."
"Yeah..."
"Remember not to move -"
"Yeah..."
Saniiro closed the door behind him, and gave a sigh. It was going to be a long day ahead. Who would had known that Dragain would get sick? AFter all, she seemed to be fine just yesterday. It was her idea to go on the picnic as well.
"Father! Is mother any better yet?" Ingina asked, peering at the man in front of the parent's bedroom. In her arms was Saga, who had demended that he be brought up to check. "Saga wanted to know as well, so I carried him up... He's so heavy!"
"Mum better?" Saga asked, blinking at Saniiro. He had thought that mums never get sick, since they have so many things to do. Ever since he could float, he had never seen any one of her parents down with anything. Ingina was down with flu once, but not mum and dad.
"No, she still needs a lot of rest," Saniiro answered, taking Saga from Ingina's arms. Walking down the stairs to the living-room, he turned to Ingina. "Would you take care of everyone while I'm doing the housework? I'll place everyone in the playroom beside the living-room, so if you need me, just call."
"Okay, father!" Ingina chirped, running down the stairs and grabbing all her siblings. She herded them up 'like sheep', as she called it, and ushered them into the playroom. Soon, everybody were gathered, and Saniiro was off to do her chorses.
"Listen up, everyone!" Ingina smiled, closing the door. "Let's make mother a big Get Well Card!"
She pulled up a big piece of paper, about the size of 2 A3 sized drawing block paper, and folded it in half. She then wrote 'Get Well Soon!' at the front with some dark blue markers, and held it up for all the children to see.
"We'll put all our hand prints in this card, and give it to mother!"
Saga chewed on a lolipop that he was given by Saniiro, and raised her hand, "What hand print?"
"I'll show you..." Ingina laughed sofly, seaching the drawers in the playroom. She took out a piece of paper, and squeesed a whole tube of yellow paint on it. Then, she squeesed all the other colors as well, on different papers. Choosing a light blue color, she pressed her hand palm on the paint, and then placed the hand palm against the giant card.
When she took her hand away, a print of her palm was on the paper. Saga's eyes widened. He never knew that you could do this with paint! It was something he had yet to see... Now, he just want to give it a try. The child crawlled towards some red paint, and repeated what Ingina had done.
"Hand print!"
He learnt three important lessons today. Mums can fall sick once in a while, paint can be used to make hand prints, and that Get Well Cards really do work. Mum was fine the next morning, and they planned for another picnic for the next Sunday to come.
